Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Volcano

Great place ! Even better than described! Highly recommend. Clara even let us known the volcano was erupting. Easy access to VNP and in a lovely neighborhood. We loved our stay. Inside tip… great taco stand right down the road for an easy dinner!

I would give Todd’s place 6 out of 5 stars if it is possible! Such a wonderful experience for us to stay two nights there. We were surrounded by beautiful nature and bird songs every morning and night. The house is nicely decorated. Very close to the National Park. Everything is clean and comfortable. Definitely will stay there again next time.

Literally paradise! Cottage (Rainbow Cottage) was super clean and provided what was needed. Grounds are meticulously kept, was able to take walks in the morning and even though other cottages were occupied, rarely ran into anyone else. Did enjoy the greeting of a friendly dog once in awhile. Perfect location to get away and be one with nature. Close enough to Pāhoa town and great location to be able to drive to Hilo and Volcanoes National Park. I visit the area at least once a year, no need to look for any other place to stay. We loved our stay! Very peaceful. Emily addressed all of concerns regarding the active volcano and was very informative. While the place is secluded, her instructions given to us made it very easy to locate. Took her recommendation of getting a vehicle with 4WD and very thankful we did! The pigs and chirping frogs were an added bonus!

Everything was as described. We had no issues finding the place, checking in or out. Everything was easily identified. Everything was clean, organized, and not “cheap”. Sometimes you get some Airbnb that use cheaper stuff (plates, cutlery, cups etc) but these cups were clean and legit. It’s small things like this that are appreciated. Beds are comfy, patio is comfortable. Locations: short drive to gas and small local market. Short drive to volcano and hikes etc. Great base camp for the area.

Conveniently located minutes away from the volcano national park! A lovely weekend staycation for me and my hula sisters whom were performing at park! Everything was just as the pictures. Parking area was very spacious. Response time was impeccable, and Marie ensured that we situated into their home just fine. I am excited for future stays at this home!

Amazing stay in a beautiful setting! Can’t say enough good things about how helpful Stephen was. We had a flat tire on our car two minutes away from the cabin, and it was almost midnight. Stephen immediately jumped into action and came to pick us up to take us back. Even though it was late for him, he was extremely helpful and patient with us. His place was beautiful and exactly as the photos look. Actually, the place is even more beautiful than the photos. He also gave us great instructions to go see Volcano National Park! Highly recommend!

I could really use a studio so cozy like this one that fit our vibe 100%. The only flaw would be at night, if it’s hot, the termites are out to get yahhh! The host Hal, upon check in felt like I was staying with blood family. Easygoing and fulfilled our needs. Mahalo Nui

Yes! Yes! Yes! Stay here!!!! Don’t even bother looking anywhere else. There is not enough space in this app to describe how pleasant our stay was. This home has everything we needed and then some! It was a breath of fresh air after staying in a mini-room in Oahu before arriving in Hilo. This was a very quiet, clean home with a large bathroom, large living space with living room and kitchen, and a large bedroom with tons of closet space. We could have easily stayed here a month in comfort. Save yourself some time, stop looking around. Book Tulpe’s place.

Really loved our stay. It was raining pretty heavily but her place was perfect for it. Windows looked out into the forest with beautiful plants and orchids. The rain sounded beautiful rolling off the roof. This made for the most cozy of stays.

Tony and Larissa were very welcoming. It’s clear they put a lot of care and intent in their Airbnb. This is evident in quality cookware in the kitchen, a beyond comfortable bed, and hand-crafted home improvement projects. We greatly enjoyed our stay!

Super clean, excellent and pristine furniture. The garden and the surrounding were fascinating. I was surprised to learn that we're allowed to use the barbecue grill and the bon fire but unfortunately had little time to use as there are a lot of things to do at the Big Island. Hopefully next time! Thanks for the beautiful stay!

Truly an oasis! Dana and Gregory are wonderful hosts and Rivendell was one of our favorite Air BnB stays. The apartment was spotless and well-stocked, the bed was so comfortable, and the hot tub was very well-maintained and heated quickly. Now for the best part! The landscaped property and waterfall made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. We wished we were staying longer. Mahalo for the perfect weekend stay! We will be back!

We had the best airbnb experience with Suzanne & Lester as our hosts. Not only did they share their abundance of fresh produce in their huge yard, they were super accommodating and welcoming to our needs. We never ran out of the basic needs at the home. It was a pleasure and privilege to stay here. If you want a peaceful, cozy, and worry-free stay, I’d recommend staying here.

I was there with my boyfriend for the week. The location was great! Within walking distance g distance to great restaurants and the best farmers market I’ve ever been to. The views are absolutely stunning. Watching the sunrise in the morning was so beautiful. We felt right at home. I would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much Carla and Joe! It was a little slice of heaven there.

LOVED this location and the unit! Gorgeous views of the adjacent park from the lanais and a great place for morning walks or runs. I also really appreciated the extra touches — the welcome basket, yoga mats, well-equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a very comfortable bed. Great value. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Maggie was very responsive and helpful. She had great recommendations and was flexible when I needed to add a night to my trip. The room has a great location and the balcony was amazing. It was very clean the bed was comfy and the fan combined with the AC kept it very cool. The pool was really big and had fresh water which makes a big difference. Overall a great experience A+ Mahalo Maggie!

We had a wonderful time at Carrie’s place. The deck with comfy chairs, a wonderful hammock and Kitty were lovely. We spent a long time there hanging out. We had everything we needed available there. No complaints at all 😊

We really enjoyed our stay here. The unit was just as pictured and was really beautiful, clean, and modern. It was conveniently located within a short drive to the downtown Hilo area where there are plenty of shopping and dining options. We were also short drives to several beaches. Our host, Linda, provided clear instructions on how to reach and access the condo and was very responsive with any questions we had. I would definitely recommend staying here if you plan to visit Hilo.

Staying here was my home away from home. We enjoyed the peace, sort of away from the busy roads. It was in the middle of a lot of places. They provided everything that we needed. Other than that, we will definitely return on our next trip here to Hilo.

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb accommodations. This condo is the best. It it's perfect for one or two people it they aren't sharing beds. I love sitting on the balcony and watching the waves. I have been here multiple times and I am very comfortable here. Restaurants, market, and beaches are close and easy to access. I love staying here. Thank you!
