We had a wonderful stay at Thalassa! Beautiful beach cabin with everything we needed. Awesome location and so peaceful. Sally was a great host and pro-active in all the communication.

Amazing house with great views over the ocean. Located within a stonethrow of the beach with easy access to all Hermanus has to offer. Fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of crashing waves. Has every amenity you could need to make your stay comfortable and our dogs absolutely loved it too !

Tim is a very hospitable host, he met us at check in day, helped with luggage. There were fresh flowers at home, clean beds and towels, nice welcome drink. Tim advised several interesting spots. The house has a great view from bedroom and living area. Was a pleasure to wake up and see the ocean. Every day we walked to the beach (5 minutes literally). There are some coffee shops and restaurants. Very good locations of shops. Very safe area! A lot of people running and swimming. Beautiful nature, surrounded with mountains. It has gas and every time we could cook and make tea. Very good variety of things for cooking inside the house. Tim has a nice secret garden :) Tim is a very friendly and sporty person, he told us about sport opportunities around. Tim was easy to communicate every time we wrote him with questions, He also advised us a nice clean lady and looked about the garden himself. One of the best hospitable stayings.

We really enjoyed staying in this house. There were a few challenges during our stay, but the host was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Welcome wine was a nice touch!

We had a fabulous weekend, the house is so well equipped that you really just need to arrive with your food and clothes! Rob was so warm and welcoming, such a pleasant and helpful host. The house has so many complimentary aspects (tons of fun boardgames, coffee, milk, table tennis, bathroom amenities etc.) that made our stay so much more comfortable and enjoyable. It’s really a breakaway gem. The pictures don’t really do the space justice, and everything was clean and well maintained.

My family has a great time at Cara’s. The house is spacious and comfortable. Our two dogs were safe and couldn’t escape the property while enjoying downtime during the day. Close the beach and central Hermanus (a good launchpad).

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

We spent a perfect quiet few days away from the city and the location plus accommodation was absolutely on point. our host was very friendly and responsive and the warm welcome set the right tone to make us feel right at home.

We were a group of 11 adults and 5 toddlers. This house was amazing! We've been organising one weekend away per year with the same group for the last 5 years. We've never stayed at the same house more than once, but this house will most definitely see us again soon!

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and had an amazing time.The house was spotless and exactly as described. We especially loved the quiet surroundings and the beautiful view.,we had games and the house is so big ,clean and kitchen has everything.The host was super helpful and made check-in easy..The only small issue we had was the inverter kept on tripping but they fixed it for us we enjoyed our stay . Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away for group of friends or family, I will not mind coming back again .

I'm back home in Scotland having spent a wonderful two weeks at Watermill Studio. I really can't praise my host Kim enough, the property is beautiful, I had a friend and her dogs come around on many occasions, there was so much space for the dogs to roam around in perfect safety, never once was anything we did questioned. Whilst the Air BNB is an annex of Kim's main property I cannot describe how private it is in terms of the feeling of having the place to yourself. The Views Oh THE VIEWS ... I'm speechless... sunset over Gordon's bay by the Pool with a glass of wine and a Braai on the go... I'd challenge anyone to find a nicer spot. Negatives... happy to say unless you want to be really really picky there are none... the gardens are well kept... a nice lady came around and cleaned the Air BNB ... really truly I cannot think of a negative other than the bird poop on the car but you can get that anywhere. If you get the chance... Give Watermill Studio's a try... It's Special.

78 Beach Road is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. We stayed for 4 nights (2 adults and 1 teenager). It’s spacious, calm and has everything you need. We visited after a week in Cape Town so we’re ready to relax, with the ocean views and sound of the waves it was perfect. We enjoyed using the indoor Braai, the plunge pool in the garden and evening walks along the rock paths. There is so much to do in the area especially if you have a car including zip lines, shark/whale watching, hiking, beach days, penguins, botanical gardens, local wildlife and much more, it’s a beautiful landscape. The owner was very responsive when we had questions we all felt safe and comfortable. We would love to stay here again it was perfect.

Amazing stay for our Hermanus Triathlon weekend

What a lovely property in a beautiful, peaceful location. We stayed for a family get-together and everyone had a great time - kids & dog included. Very spacious inside and out, the kitchen was very well stocked in terms of cooking utensils, bowls, plates, etc. and the big stoep overlooking the tiered lawns and olive trees was a big highlight! It was exactly the kind of countryside getaway we were looking for. And the style of the house is very charming. Thanks also to Andrew and Carol for always being very responsive and helpful in answer to our questions. We hope to be back again soon, thanks again!

Toni’s place was so beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. It was clean and equipped with everything we needed. She was a lovely host and very responsive. Would definitely be back!

Phillippa’s place was lovely! The area was super peaceful and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Communication with Phillippa was great, she was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again, and will recommend to anyone else planning to visit Hermanus!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage! It is very well equipped, it even comes with great neighbors ;) When the weather allowed it was the perfect spot for visiting the beautiful nature and (the wine farms around) Stellenbosch.

Wayne and Dallias cottage was a piece of heaven - with views to die for! Tracy was a fabulous hostess! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be back!

A great spot to spend any amount of time. The farm is beautiful and incredibly well maintained. The unit's have everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the location is great too. Noeleen and her staff are incredibly friendly as well. Definitely recommend staying here on your next visit.

Truly a gem of a place! Clean, comfortable and cosy with a lovely large enclosed garden for the dogs. We loved listening to the frogs at night and the bountiful of beautiful birds in the day. Close enough to the main road with lots of restaurants and to the wandelpad for lovely long sunrise and sunset walks with the dogs. Allison as a host was friendly and accommodating. We loved Allison’s place and will always try to come back in the future. Thank you Allison.

What a gorgeous view! Beautiful space, our dogs adored the fenced garden, it was private, spotless, beautifully decorated, comfy, and all the extras were superb-extra wood for the fireplace, wine, honey, coffee...and then on top of that, extremely kind hosts that offered early check in and late check out, suggestions for restaurants and activities, and more. Plus, the on premises host was ready to greet us, available at a moment's notice, friendly, professional, and helpful. Cannot recommend this spot enough, but feeling a little worried that it'll be become too popular and I'll have less chance to visit 😜 Superb value and really...the view...you won't want to leave. Chef's kiss!
