Beachfront holiday rentals in Velsen

From the beginning to the end of our short stay, the experience was like being on vacation from the very first minute. The tiny house, the area and the complex immediately led to forgetting the still fresh everyday life. We felt as if we had landed somewhere else in the world with the plane. A beautiful ambience of the complex, you are really very private on the go and everyone was very respectful, relaxed and friendly. Every now and then, a fox would come to visit in the morning. The perfect location to watch the sun set over the sea. Dogs were not a problem among themselves because none ran around freely. And we ourselves had a dog with us and everything was perfect. Even for the luggage there were small wheelbarrows so the transport was also not an issue and parking directly in front of the entrance. A café with vegan drinks and food. Simply perfect.

It was a very nice stay. We were received super nicely and got a small house tour. Marriët was very warm and helpful. The house was very cute and we had everything we needed. We also used the sauna, which was very nice! The beach is only a 10-minute walk away. We are very satisfied!

We had a pleasant stay at Barbara's cute chalet. This is equipped with everything you might need and can be reached via a longer staircase behind the hotel. Therefore, it is very quiet and we were able to listen to the birdsong. In addition, the location directly on the dunes is great, you are on the beach in five minutes. There is also plenty of free parking space available there. Wijk an Zee has also offered us a good starting point for things to do in the area, such as visits to the cities of Haarlem and Alkmaar. Check-in went smoothly and upon our arrival we also received many tips, especially for walks with a dog. We were very pleased. Barbara was very friendly and helpful.

Lovingly furnished tiny houses and chill area with bar and hammocks to relax. The small greenhouse offers herbs to pick yourself and the beach is right in the corner. We especially enjoyed it with a dog and would come back:)

Had a great stay at Basecamp! Our house (4.1) was cozy and clean. From the roof terrace we had a great view of the sunset and the dunes. The basecamp has a very special charm, everything is very familiar and you can discover many things. We only stayed two nights but would have liked to stay much longer. It's only a few minutes walk to the beach and the small town is super easy to reach by car. The communication was very good! We will be happy to come back. ☺️

Had a great vacation! The house leaves nothing to be desired. The view of the sea is fantastic. Everything in the house is clean and tidy . In the immediate vicinity, you will find a lot of things to do and there are also shopping opportunities. We will be happy to come back !

The space is highly recommended. The view is beautiful and the apartment is beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable and were able to relax super due to the proximity to the beach.

The accommodation corresponded in all points of the description, it is a cozy house with a flowering little garden, comfortable beds and two adorable cats. Unfortunately, we did not meet Jeanette and family, but they left a booklet with all the important information, were always available via WhatsApp and the neighbors were nice and helpful. Castricum is a quiet town with beautiful beach, which can also be reached with children in 20-30 minutes on a beautiful bike path on a beautiful bike path. All shops for everyday needs are very close, it is a good starting point for cycling tours and Amsterdam can be reached in 25 minutes by train - ideal for a holiday without a car.

Steven was absolutely amazing! The boat is lovely and well situated and he went absolutely above and beyond to help us out on our stay - he even brought us out on his tugboat for a test run! Could not recommend enough thank you so much for our stay 😊😊

We felt right at home at Willem‘s place. Loved the beachy feel of the house, the individual decoration, you can see he feels at home here as well. The proximity to the city and train station came in very handy (10min walk), the bed was very comfortable, the little garden area cute and I had no issues working remotely with his internet access. The neighborhood is lively during the day and quiet during the night. The self-checkin was very convenient for our early arrival and very early departure. Haarlem has a great vibe and we would certainly return.

The house of Wessel and Maud is very stylishly furnished and well located. You can quickly walk to the Lidl and the hearty center of Huizen. In addition, Huizen is in a great location, you are within 30-45 minutes by car in great cities such as Amsterdam, Haarlem, Utrecht, etc. and on beautiful beaches such as Wijk an de See and Zandervort. Wessel is very friendly and always responds very quickly. We had a very nice time. 🥰

We had an amazing stay at Sonja’s place. Everything was just perfect. The location was excellent. The neighbourhood is beautiful. A row of houses with the canal as the backyard. Absolute peace and quiet and extremely secure. It’s a 4 minute walk to the tram station where there’s a tram every 10 min to the Central Station. It just takes 10 minutes to reach Central Station. The living area and kitchen are brilliant with all necessary equipments. The backyard is brilliant with an easy access to the canal. We didn’t use the pizza oven and the barbecue but I reckon they would be great when used. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and the view from the open space from there is lovely. The bathroom is huge and has a sun roof. Overall a brilliant experience. Sonja was very responsive and left a detailed note on how things work. We (2 adults and 2 kids) loved the stay and will again stay there in a heartbeat.

The house was well designed with lots of neat details. Michiel was a nice and responsive host who always answered our questions. The house is very well located only a bikeride from the beach, and Shops and train station are within walking distance. Cleanliness of the kitchen could have been better (we rewashed everything because apparently the filter in the dishwasher was full so the dishes weren't clean upon arrival).

Very cute staff! Close to the beach is unbeatable! The bungalow is nice but definitely not a luxury bungalow! The beach is super nice - but you should note that an industrial area is in the immediate vicinity (occasional odor nuisance)

Frances picked us up from the bus station with her car and took us to the property. This was very nicely decorated. What by far the most convinced was the proximity to the water and the view of this from the sofa!!! :)

When you know what to expect (area, facilities, weather) it couldn’t be better ☺️ We felt very comfortable in any weather with our 2 little children (20months old and 3 months old) a little bit of physical flexibility is required as the place is only accessible through the sand and to get into bed you have to either climb up or bend down 😉

Everything was perfect ! There were no problems at all, totally recommendable stay ! Looking forward to next time...

We stayed as a family in Rachel's beach house. We felt very comfortable, everything is as described and the communication for questions was always great. It is a different type of camping holiday. The toilets and showers are in a toilet wagon /shower wagon. It is not so far away from the beach house. You have everything you need, but you can't expect luxury. They were super nice days because the weather was really great. In case of bad weather, however, it would be problematic with infants. Since the beach house is very narrow. It was a great adventure, happy to come again!

I spent seven days with my two kids at this beach house, and we absolutely loved it. It’s like glamorous camping, offering a unique and cozy experience rather than the luxury of a five-star hotel. The true luxury lies in the coziness and the breathtaking view. We arrived by bus from Amsterdam, which runs every half hour. The house is small but well-equipped with everything you need. While the toilets are nearby and not within the house, it wasn’t a major inconvenience. Overall, our stay was phenomenal, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Plus, there were hardly any mosquitoes 😅.

We had a great stay at the beach with our children (5&7). In both rain and sun, we felt very comfortable in the beach hut. The children liked to play behind the house on the dunes, where it was nice and warm and protected even with a lot of wind. The sea was so close that we made short trips to the water again and again, even if it was very fresh for longer swimming in the North Sea. With a large midday heat, the children could play under the cabin in the shade in the play kitchen. For my husband and I there were plenty of sunny and shaded places and we were able to relax for super hours. Ideal spot for kiters in wind - you don't have to drag the material far and there is parking for residents right behind the dunes. You have to be aware that, as with camping, you use public toilets (and shower). The way there is only short from the cottage.

We had wonderful days in Evelien's house. It is superbly equipped, especially for families with children (socket protection, stair protection, children's room, etc.). Also playgrounds within walking distance. Everything is hip and modern and very tastefully decorated. The sun is shining in the garden. We found the location particularly good. The house is located in a quiet side street with parking, but in 15-20 minutes you are in great Haarlem, on the beach,... and Evelien's tips were consistently interesting and cool; we would never have come up with that on our own. Evelien was very generous and kindly offered us to use the stroller. She responded to strets and promptly to any questions. Definitely recommend!!!
