This is truly the absolute best spot to stay in the Luberon. You walk outside your door and are literally just steps to an incredible boulangerie, coffee spot, restaurants, history, and scenery that is awe inspiring. The decor was stunning. This is the rare AirBnB that is better than the pictures- and they were great already! We loved closing out the day with a glass of rose’ on the balcony watching the incredible scenery. The cold plunge pool was such a lovely experience- we are converts! Denis provided exceptional hospitality - he checked in to make sure we had all we needed and was such a treasure. He went above and beyond on his host duties. Our family all agreed this is the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in. It has so much character- you feel like you are in a castle- but with modern conveniences like laundry and a great kitchen! If you are even considering this place, book this special home! What a gem of a place and hosts! We traveled to quite a few places during our 2.5 week trip through Europe, and this was by far our favorite stay. Located in the Luberon Valley in the medieval town of Ménerbes, Provence, you only had to look outside of your window to see the vibrant purple shades of the blooming summer lavenders and lavandines. The stay was well appointed with everything you’d need, and the private courtyard provided breathtaking views of the valleys and nearby mountains. The town and stay are rich in history - you’ll enjoy learning about it from hosts Maria and Francois, who are absolutely delightful. A beautiful breakfast of local fresh fruits, pastries, eggs and yogurt was provided, which gave us enough fuel for a long day of walking and sightseeing. My favorite part of it all were the conversations we had with Maria and Francois over breakfast - they’re quite charming and funny; we exchanged stories of our lives and travels. Highly recommend this stay!

Our family of 5 had the most wonderful stay at this charming farmhouse on a quiet street near the village of Gordes. La Bastide des As is absolutely beautiful, blending rustic charm with chic decor and modern amenities. The house is spacious and cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the lovely pool and outdoor dining areas- perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the surrounding villages. Sophie was truly amazing. She was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and going out of her way to make our stay special. She sent us advance recommendations on activities, dining, vineyards and shopping. Her warm hospitality really added to the experience. It’s a lovely place for anyone looking to unwind in the heart of Provence—a perfect combination of tranquility and modern comforts. We can’t wait to return!

We thank Fabrice for his welcome, kindness and flexibility. We had a great time with the family in this farmhouse, the setting is nice and peaceful. The accommodation is spacious, clean and functional. The bedding is comfortable. We enjoyed our meals outside by the pool. Everything was perfect! Magical!! Andy and Jess have an absolutely beautiful place that embodies what Airbnb is all about! The decor is well thought out and gorgeous with beautiful French antiques and comfy furniture. The yard was massive with a perfect swimming pool, big grassy area, and places to sit in the shade. We made dinner one evening and sat and chatted with our host which was probably one of our favorite nights. Andy was so warm and welcoming and gave us lots of tips for cute towns and markets. The animals were the happiest pets I’ve ever met and it was fun to hang out with the 2 sweet dogs and friendly cat. Can’t say enough good things about this property. You can feel the soul of it as soon as you enter and I only wish we’d had more time here on our trip through France. Thank you Andy and Jess for your hospitality!

Wonderful place to base ourselves to explore Avignon. a very short walk to the city centre, but tucked away on a private street

Vanessa was a wonderful host. Her instructions for finding the apartment were very clear. She also shared a list of great restaurant recommendations in the area. The apartment couldn’t be in a better location. 2 minutes away is Le Palais des papes, yet the apartment is incredibly quiet and peaceful. The space is excellent: modern conveniences with all of the history and charm you’d expect from Avignon! Thank you for a great stay, Vanessa.

We could not have picked better. Apartment was newly renovated and lovely. The host - Jeremy - had thought of everything (and the koalas were a nice touch for a couple of travelling Australians). Coffee machine - with ample coffee pods, tea, sugar. Plentiful cooking ingredients such as oils, condiments, etc - should they be needed. Jeremy checked in by mail regularly to ensure we were ok and didn't need anything, and provided good recommendations for local places to eat for all times of the day. As for the apartment location - it was perfect. Tucked away from busy tourism, and yet only a couple of minutes walk anywhere you wanted to be. It was an easy, flat, less than 15 minute walk from the train station even with our luggage. A few minutes walk to any of the sights. Lots of good shopping nearby - in fact - right outside your door should you be after a bit of retail therapy. We couldn't recommend the apartment more highly. Happy to say my best AIRBNB experience.

Lovely little apartment right in the middle of Avignon

Very, very friendly boss, because we arrived early, the boss also specially helped with luggage storage.Friendly attitude and behavior, giving the first-time travelers to France a very comfortable and touching experience

We stayed at Thomas’s place for five nights. The location was exceptional and the apartment was beautifully styled and clearly well taken care of. If you’re planning to do much cooking, you might have to get smart with your utensils! But that was no bother for us.

We chose this apartment because of the great reviews and ours will be no different. It's worth looking back as there are lots of useful tips such as how to park close by. The apartment is exactly as described. Clean, tidy and very well appointed. Useful items such as water, butter, tea, coffee etc. all provided. This is an ideal apartment for couples traveling together. 2 double bedrooms both with en suites. The location is perfect, right opposite the Palais des Papes and perfect for a wide selection of restaurants and bars. The square outside is very lively, but noise was not a problem and if you shut the double glazed windows you hear virtually nothing. Harold and Celia are the perfect hosts, helpful, responsive and always there if you need them. Like most of the reviews there are no negatives from our perspective. If you are visiting Avignon this apartment is highly recommended.

Marine’s apartment is lovely—comfortable, spacious, well equipped, and clean. Both the living room and bedroom open onto 3rd floor balcony which looks down on the cobblestone lane and canal is a wonderful spot. It’s about a 1km walk to the Palais des Papes, but there are restaurants very close by on Rue des Tenteuriers, which also features an artisanal brewing place. You’ll have to arrange to meet Karine (or her friend who welcomed me) outside the locked front gate to get initial access and keys.

Nathalie’s place is a gem in Provence. Walking distance to Avignon old town and within reach of all things needed from restaurants to places of interest. We had an infant and the apartment suited him in terms of crawl space and crib area. The parking in the building was super convenient to have a car and explore Provence. Nathalie was super flexible with a late night check-in and even helped me retrieve socks after I had checked out. Overall definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Provence/Marseille area.

Very nice apartment, we were lucky to sleep on a new and excellent mattress. Lots of nice touches, little treats, bottle of sparkling water in the fridge. Communication with Philippe and Christine is very responsive We advise

Béatrice is lovely and helpful. Friendly and welcoming to us and very kind with my dog. We had a relaxing and happy week here. The big pool is absolutely fantastic and the area around is private, spacious, practical and so very welcoming to enjoy. Swimming in the evening too with the trees around and the moon shining was just wonderful! Secure to park your car - everything feels safe and peaceful. We were so fortunate to be able to get this week as it’s booked up now for all of summer - definetly recommend! Thank you for our stay :)

Even though we only spent one night there, everything we need and even more is planned. There are board games, books and what to say about this large, pretty and welcoming living room. The rooms are spacious, you feel very comfortable. Given our late arrival time, we were able to access the accommodation without any difficulty. Very nice apartment, we fell under its charm, tastefully decorated and very well equipped, located in a private and secure residence with a beautiful well-maintained park with the Sorgue next door that happiness! Private parking, a plus in this very touristy village! We were sensitive to the delicate attention left by Isabelle and Mathieu upon arrival. We highly recommend this place and will gladly go back!

We had a very good stay in the accommodation offered by Laurence and Philippe. The apartment is spacious, very clean and really comfortable – you feel good there right away.
