Villa holiday rentals in Vathianos Kampos

Overall, we felt very comfortable, were always well looked after and the apartment met our expectations. You have to know that in the evening hours one or the other plane also flies to Heraklion. A small supermarket is directly on site and a 2-minute walk away. Otherwise, a quick shopping or eating out by public transport is not so easy without a rental car. By car, everything is no problem in five minutes in a wide selection. The view and the apartment is very good. Swimming on site on foot in five minutes very possible below the apartment. This one was much more generous than expected. Overall, we will be happy to come back.

Great for a group, whether family or friends. Expectations were exceeded and the host was super friendly and helpful. Would come back any time.

Great house with good facilities. We have enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. We got in on a Sunday; the shops are then closed. Giorgos has stocked the fridge with some drinks and appetizers. That was very handy. Furthermore, the village has several restaurants where you can eat within walking distance. Unfortunately, we did not have nice weather every day and wanted to do some indoor activities in the house. The TV in the living room didn't work. Fortunately, this was solved by Giorgos. Netflix is on the TV, but you can only use if you have your own account. We didn't get this right. We did a lot of hikes in the area. Fantastically beautiful area and challenging walks. The gym was also a nice to have at the house and our boys especially used it a lot. Giorgos is a lovely host who goes above and beyond to make guests feel at ease and help when you have a question. He picks it up quickly.

Wow ! Wow ! Wow Just don't know where to start. From the minute that we arrived everything was perfect. Thanos was by far the best host that we have ever had. The swimming pool was the cleanest and best maintained that we have ever come across on our travels. Can not believe how quickly Thanos responded to an issue with leaking washing machine with brand new one delivered and fitted within 12 hours. We where in Crete for our friends daughters wedding and asked Thanos for recommendations for local hairdresser. He told us most where closed on Mondays but went above and beyond to find one in Heraklion , booked appointment and arranged a taxi to take us. Can not recommend this villa highly enough. Outstanding!! 10 STAR rating for Thanos and his amazing cat Nicos. We would not hesitate in returning.

What a wonderful stay! Antonios was incredibly communicative and greeted us warmly during check-in with fully stocked fridge, raki and a delicious platter of tomatoes, cucumbers and feta. The grounds were immaculate, the amenities were exactly as described on the listing. The location is wonderful - multiple small grocery stores located within walking distance, as well as a handful of delicious tavernas and restaurants along the water and in the nearby town. The location was excellent relative to activities on the island - we visited Knossos Palace, Skotino Cave (MAGICAL), Heraklion's Archaeology Museum, Star Beach (for some scuba diving + waterslides with the kids), and an Easter music event in a nearby town. We even rented a dune-buggy for the afternoon from the rental centre right next door. The villa itself had a great outdoor bbq, air conditioning units + smart TVs in every room, a well-stocked kitchen, laundry, clothes lines, beach chairs, pool toys, you name it, it's got it!

We particularly enjoyed the location and the villa. all amenities were as described and new. The view was breathtaking and the villa offered plenty of privacy and tranquility despite the fact that there are three identical villas next to each other. Beach, restaurants and supermarket were within walking distance. So we didn't need a rental car. The village of Agia Pelagia was also within walking distance. Is still a fairly traditional Greek fishing village but quite touristy. All in all, had a great stay where the host, albeit remotely and without personal contact, was always active online, responded quickly and proactively provided information.

We read the reviews and immediately booked this gorgeous place. Full of history and modern amenities, it was the perfect launching spot for us to spend 3 days in Heraklion in total style and comfort. The views from every room and rooftop deck were stunning. To wake up with the blue water, harbor of boats and Venetian port was like being in a painting. Georgia was responsive and kind and generous. She shared the ancient history of her home with us—which made our stay even more magical. The piano and guitar were added bonuses that our musical family enjoyed playing! We highly recommend staying here—luxurious, historical, beautiful. We can’t say enough about how much we loved this place. Oh, and the outdoor garden patio at entrance was divine and the sky lights gave so much natural light. We also appreciated the washing machine and efficient and fast air conditioning. You won’t be disappointed if you book this place.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

We had a wonderful 5-day vacation at the villa. The property was stunning! It was tastefully designed, offering full privacy, and was super clean. We used the brick oven to make pizza and also enjoyed the pool. Everything was just as it looked in the pictures, and the villa was equipped with everything we needed. Pandelis, the owner, was very responsive to all of our requests and questions. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic villa, we couldnt have asked for more. The house is amazing and immaculate with everything you could need. Elina was the perfect host and went above and beyond and was proactive with extra information and tips. We couldnt have asked for a more welcoming and warm host. 5 star house with a 5 star host. we will be back.

We had a great time in this lovely villa. The outside is truly beautiful and we loved spending the day at the pool. Inside is also very nice especially with the brand new kitchen. We would love to come back!

Giorgos was a great host. Flexible with our demands and very responsive whenever we had any issues. For example, we had a hot water problem, which he resolved quickly after we informed him. The villa is very beautiful with a 360 view of Heraklion and the surrounding area. It has a great living room space for social gatherings, outside tables for dining and a grill. The kitchen was also well equipped with a large fridge+freezer, dish washer, microwave oven and gas hobs. The gym was well equipped and the swimming pool water was very clean. There was a washing machine with a lot of drying space. Several of the rooms have private bathrooms. The villa was not easily reachable by foot but that is the case for most places on Crete. It had however plenty of parking space and remotely operated gates. We didn't try the jacuzzi so can't comment on that and the piano was locked. Overall our stay was amazing, we're very happy and would recommend Giorgos as a host :)

We really enjoyed our stay in Thomais´resort. Thomais did everything to make us feel welcome and welcomed us with homemade cooking and wine. Located on the mountain top the distance to shopping and restaurants is several kilometers, but excellent taxi service solved this so we dropped our plans to rent a car.

The villa looked exactly like photos, the host was super helpful and friendly. We had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone!

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

What a wonderful experience we had here! Xristos and his family went above and beyond to accommodate us and their hospitality was impeccable- we felt like family. We are a family of 5 - including a baby and Xristos made sure so provide a crib, a bed rail, children’s toys for our girls and a lovely welcome basket with goodies. He was extremely helpful when it came to local recommendations. We would recommend this home to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Stayed with a group of friends for a week and had a great time. Faidra was quick to respond and proactive throughout our stay, providing all sorts of helpful recommendations. The villa was spacious with a great pool and barbecue ready to roll. It’s located in a quiet area so you’ll need a car, although within walking distance you can get to a few local shops, a lovely taverna, an olive oil mill (would recommend a tasting) and, if you want to give the driver a day off, a winery about half an hour hike away. All told, was a great base for exploring this part of Crete and fantastic value.

We stayed here for my bachelorette trip with a group of girls and had the most amazing time! The villa was even more beautiful in person – clean, spacious, and full of charm. The outdoor space was perfect for lounging by the pool- he even tried helping us heat the pool bc we got a chilly day so we still had a great time and soaking in the Greek view. Our host was incredibly responsive and kind, helping us with everything from local tips to arranging transportation and a private boat trip and massages . It truly felt like a dream getaway – peaceful, private, and full of good vibes LUXURIOUS- 5 STAR Highly recommend for anyone who wants a good trip all the way around- group trip, girls’ getaway, or any special occasion! Comfortable space, the house contained everything we needed, perfect view! The hostess was very friendly and cheerful to help us with what we asked!

The apartment was exactly as described. The pool and the house are very nice. All air conditioners work smoothly, which means it's not too hot in the house. The outdoor area is very good for relaxing. Beach and restaurants are not too far away and within walking distance if necessary, but I would recommend a car.
