Micheal was so cool. Very helpful finding the way to the house which was mildly tricky. Great communication. Overall, I will be staying here again and loved my time spent. We saw sloths, monkeys, parrots, many crazy looking birds, and more at the place with an impeccable view of the ocean and jungles surrounding the home.

We found the location great: a small convenience store close by, good Mexican restaurant two blocks and beach four blocks away. Further: view restaurants 15-20’ in both directions; life-changing sanctuaries (Alturas) and wildlife preserves (Sierpe! Playa Tortuga!) 30-60’. Variety of surfing beaches from a walk to a drive away. Great couple renting boards right at the beach entrance so no need to carry them home. We loved the outdoor shower and especially the pool, heaven on a hot day or after a warm walk or hike. We loved taking an early morning “nature walk” to see monkeys and birds as they wake and look for breakfast. Real treats: Cherrie’s Tanagers, Morpho butterflies and especially the Howlers coming through the corridor next door at 4:45am. Tropical thunderstorms with frogs calling, enjoyed from the shelter of the terrace with lightning all around, rain splashing in the pool. The local Mercado with fabulous yogurt and smoothies, fruit and bread, Wed/Sat. House a sanctuary!

Thank you to the hosts for creating a true paradise, this stay went above and beyond anything I had envisioned. My daughter and I felt at home the moment we arrived. The view of the ocean absolutely blew us away, and the peaceful jungle setting made it even more magical. We felt completely safe and private the entire time, which let us fully relax and enjoy every moment. This was more than a vacation rental, it felt like a retreat. We’ll never forget it. And one last thing, we HIGHLY recommend the tiramisu from Potz Bistro just down the road.

Wow!10/10…. Beatas place has been the best place we have stayed in. Not only is the design beautiful but also extremely clean and spacious. Beata is also very detailed and reached out prior to arriving to ask if a crib is needed since I was traveling with my 1 year old, very thoughtful of her, as offer the crib and fresh blankets for baby were there as soon as we arrived. I can’t say much about the area as we were in town for a wedding and all activities were planned ahead of time, but we did appreciate the closeness of many restaurants and stores, we also got to go to the farmers market on Saturday morning which was great to see. Will definitely like to come back and do a humpback whale tour when their in season and baby is older to witness.

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away! The place was exactly as pictured—spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and filled with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home (but better!). The host was incredibly responsive and kind, offering local tips and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.

This house absolutely made our trip — it’s even better than the photos! The view is nothing short of perfect, and every corner of the home felt thoughtfully designed and welcoming. We woke up early every morning just to enjoy the house! On top of that, communication was seamless; the host was incredibly responsive and helpful with anything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! We went for our honeymoon! What an adventure. The house is up the mountain where you feel like you’re in the middle of the rainforest with lots of wildlife but it’s also convenient to grocery’s restaurants and shopping. We simply did not want to leave! The indoor outdoor shower is private for those who don’t want to be seen but also giving that showering outside feeling with the sounds of the wildlife and rain. House was immaculate and host was very generous with recommendations. Tv internet air conditioning hot water and a backup system in the event power goes out. Amazing stay! Want to come again

This is a beautiful house with total privacy. We saw several birds species at the house and walking through the neighborhood. It’s a short drive into Uvita and there are several restaurants to choose from. It’s also close to Arco Beach, Whale Tail, and Catarata Uvita. We would definitely recommend this place to our friends.

This home was beautiful, and the view unmatched! Oscar was so responsive and helpful with our very many requests. He gave local recommendations and booked anything we needed, even on short notice. It felt like our home away from home. We would definitely stay at this house again when we are back in town.

Truly a stunning home in a very quiet, upscale cul-de-sac community. Views were breathtaking, and the home well-equipped for lazy days without big agendas. Dominical is cute and inviting, with plenty to eat and a solid infrastructure for booking adventures of multiple varieties. Sensitive travelers might want to be advised that power and water outages are part of the realities of living in such a gorgeous, remote location. Mattresses are quite firm, with the loft bed probably best suited to a child or other floor-friendly individual. Kitchen was not particularly well-appointed, so bring oil/butter and perhaps even a favorite chef's knife if you plan to cook in. Local farmer's markets do make this an appealing option, although local restaurants were generally quite decent, even coming from NYC. Above all, this is a truly impressive holiday experience, mainly for the incredible views from all floors and the abundance of wildlife right in your own back-yard. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough about this place! What a beautiful experience. If you want to be completely surrounded by nature in a modern home with an amazing view, this is your place. We were visited by toucans every morning outside the bedroom window and saw a number of different beautiful birds. I felt like I was in the tree tops with them. What a spectacular view! We also saw many white-nosed coati, a heard of peccary with babies, a deer and a group of capuchin monkeys passing by. The house was extremely clean and felt very comfortable. The host was very quick to respond with any questions we had. The drive up to the house is an experience! Make sure to arrive during daylight if possible. A 4x4 is 100% required! Half way up the hill is an adorable group of restaurants and a little market. We had a great dinner at Scala and breakfast at Sibu. Very convenient and highly recommend! Pool was very clean and a nice way to unwind at the end of the day! I would definitely stay here again!!!

This was an amazing experience! The villa was well equipped and very beautiful. The location was amazing as well, in the middle of nature but still close (less than 10min drive) to Uvita itself. We also saw tucans and monkeys from our balcony. We would defenitily recommend this!

Große Empfehlung! Wir haben uns direkt Zuhause gefühlt :) Gut ausgestattete Küche, bequemes Bett, Terrasse im Grünen, Pool direkt vor der Tür und es ist an alles gedacht: Handtücher für den Pool, Fön, Yogamatte, Mixer, Spiele, .. Ein Supermarkt ist fußläufig zu erreichen, genauso wie ein Pizza und Bagel Laden. Wir hatten ein Auto, konnten sicher auf dem Gelände parken und damit alle umliegenden Attraktionen erreichen. Und die Gastgeberin ist super super lieb und hilfsbereit. Danke für den Aufenthalt!! Wir fliegen nach vier Monaten Reisen durch Südamerika Nachhause und der Abschied hätte nicht schöner sein können :(

It was awesome. It felt like our own private nature preserve! We saw monkeys, pizote, anteaters, and SO many toucans. The space was gorgeous and we used the pool to cool down many times a day when we weren't in the ocean. The views were unmatched. Moeses was so helpful and responsive. The jungle is extremely active at night so be prepared for all the sounds. Thanks for a wonderful honeymoon spot!

Loved Shelley’s place, totally recommended, safe, clean, owner was very responsive. There are lots of restaurants near by, had a blast walking on the beach, which is very close, could walk if wanted to. It was our daughter Bday, we asked Natasha to leave a Bday card and she did..As they say here in CR, Pura Vida!!!

I spent two most relaxing days in the loft. Perfect place for those who like being in the middle of nature. The cabin is an open structure with nets instead of windows. It is very well equipped, including a complete kitchen and an outdoor shower. For those who are addicted to A/C, there is none due to the open character of the loft, but 3 fans are more than enough to cool you down. Pablo, who takes care of the property, was most welcoming and nice, leading the way to the cabin and giving some good advice for things to do in the area. I would recommend going there at least in an SUV as the last 5 minutes of driving involve some steep and bumpy bits. My personal highlight was seeing a group of spider monkeys passing by directly in front of the terrace while having my morning coffee! I can only highly recommend this place!

Just wow! Best Airbnb I've ever stayed at. The view was stunning, the home was clean. I wanted to be away from people and surrounded by nature, that's what I got. You absolutely need a 4x4 to get up the mountain but the drive wasn't as daunting as it sounded. The owners & property managers were so kind and communicated quickly and crystal clear. My gf and I went during green season so a storm brought wifi go down but someone updated before I realized what happened. Rainy weather is our favourite and we really experienced the best of both worlds with sun in the mornings, and throughout the day depending on where you were down the mountain, with rain and thunderstorms in the evening/early night. We saw coatis (their version of a raccoon, according to Jorge who was super nice), toucans, other really neat, colourful birds, and on our last morning a blue Morpho butterfly! It was a magical experience, no complaints. Oh, visit the butterfly garden & waterfall on the way up the mountain!

Gabriela was an amazing host. She was responsive to our needs and super friendly. The house was spotless and really well equipped. We made very good use of the pool and excellent kitchen! The bedrooms were spacious and private. The house is at the end of a gravel road in an area that looks to have new development. When we stayed there was some light construction happening at 2 neighbour houses. There are a couple of shops within a 5-10 min walk, and an entrance to the national park beach 10 min or so walk away. You have to pay for the beach in the national park but well worth it as the beach is beautiful and clean.

What a delightful spot! So perfect for a small family! I had my own master suite and my son had his on the other side of the outdoor kitchen. My son loved the privacy.

From the moment we decided to stay at this property, Ingrid was very accessible to answer all of our questions, at all times. She was very quick to respond. The property itself is gorgeous! The property is beautiful with a lovely kitchen, dining, and living room. Everything was very modern and pristine. Outside the sitting area made for a nice retreat after a long day. The pool is gorgeous along with the grounds, filled with pretty flowers. The bedrooms were all very well done and the beds were so cozy along with the pillows. The master bedroom and bath were incredible. Lots of shelf space. The shower wonderful. It is in a very good area with several restaurants a short walk away. It’s close to the Uvita Falls and butterfly Arboretum./restaurant. There are so many wonderful restaurants in the area. We opted mostly for Chef Haywirth to prepare our breakfast and some dinners.. he’s incredible! All meals were delicious! I highly recommend Casa Maloha in Uvita!

Absolutely loved our stay! Smooth check-in/communication with Erika; she also gave great local recommendations. The location was perfect: private, quiet, with wonderful jungle sounds and mountain views. The beautiful, well-maintained garden was managed by Rolbin, the friendly gardener. He brought fresh fruit and gave us tours of the property's trails (waterfall/river included). The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped, from a citrus press, moka pot, to an ice cream maker – we genuinely missed nothing. Clean spring tap water was a huge bonus; it remained functional even during power outages (mechanical system). We often didn't notice brief outages as we still had water and cooked on the gas stove! Internet (~40-80 Mbps) was surprisingly fast, allowing to get work done. We miss falling asleep to jungle sounds! If you're looking for peace, comfort, and unique amenities in a beautiful setting, this is the place.

Estuvimos en casa Chamana un fin de semana y la estadía no pudo ser mejor, la casa cuenta con todas las comodidades y una ubicación inmejorable, a pocos pasos de la playa. Naty, nuestra anfitriona, fue excelente con una atención 5 estrellas, muy amable y súper amigable. Recomiendo esta casa sin lugar a dudas. Gracias Naty, esperamos poder regresar pronto. Pura Vida!
