Family-friendly holiday rentals in Uvita Beach

WOW sums it up! Our family was just blown away with the villa and the beautiful view. We are a family of 17......9 grandkids, parents and Grammy/ Gramps. The place was absolutely perfect for our family vacation. Stephen was there to show us around and the ladies had cold drinks for us on arrival. I really can't say enough about the place. Yesenia and Yeneri made a beautiful tasty breakfast for us each morning. 4 of us are celiacs and they were very careful to provide us with what we could eat. Esteban was wonderful and was around to help with anything we needed. He showed us different things around the property, turned on the hot tub when needed and took us on a hike to the waterfall and river. He was great with the kids showing them butterflies and such and played toucan sounds on the stereo to attract the toucans. Sophia and Caleb did great jobs as well The rooms were perfect with amazing views and the garden house was great. Thanks from all of us......amazing memories!❤️

This home is incredible. It is absolutely worth the trip. We were looking for something in mid or southern pacific coast, ultimately decided on uvita for a less touristy vibe but still close to lots of activities. It was the right choice. The home is beautiful and so inviting. Licho and his wife are incredible hosts. We had them cook almost every meal. Everything was delicious! It was very appreciated because we were so tired at the end of each day! There is a waterfall 5 minutes away with great jumping platforms. There are delicious restaurants near by, and the beach was about 7 minute drive. There was tons of wildfire in the backyard, with plenty of visits from monkeys. We hooked everything through Licho including our tours, rental car, and ride to and from SJO. You can do great excursions from town which is a 5 minute drive. If we’re ever back in Costa Rica we would absolutely stay here again!

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights and we were very pleased with the place!!! It is up a mountain and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Uvita and everything you need! It feels like your own little piece of paradise surrounded by wild life and lots of beautiful plants. We saw a monkey in the tree upon arrival. The river is so close that you can hear it and it’s super peaceful!! Very beautiful water falls near by, the national park, and the beach!!! I will say I don’t know if we would’ve made it up the mountain and to the resort without a 4x4! Also, I must note that the upstairs and downstairs unit are separate. The bedroom is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. So, if you’re like me and have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night you do have to go outside and downstairs to use the bathroom!!! But it was really no problem. Incredible place for the price! Highly recommend 😌

This property is truly amazing. The house and pool and landscaping are all stunning, and the views cannot be beaten. The house was stocked with everything we needed. Dominical beach is about a 7-8 minute drive. The service from Esteban and Oscar and the others was first-class.

Amazing! We’ve done this trip in various locations across costa rica and Brian’s place was by far the best, especially for larger groups. The dreamy outdoor kitchen had all the best appliances and tools you could ever need. The pool and lounge area felt like what you would experience at a high end resort. The music hookup and lighting at night was perfect for relaxing and breathtaking sunsets and nighttime conversations. Some of us could even get in a morning workout given the great gym area available and would end it with a cold plunge. I literally can’t think of anything else we could ever need! Beyond being an absolute paradise, Brian went above and beyond to welcome us and ensure we were comfortable. It’s rare these days that the host is as invested in their guests’ experience as Brian, and it’s clear that he really wants his guests to feel at home and welcome. He always promptly answered any questions and was eager to help and give recommendations. Can’t wait to come back!

It is an amazing and magical place and we just loved to stay at this house! We were sad to leave this lovely view with perfect pool and jacuzzi! Very nice and comfortable rooms and wonderful garden. Tonjo and Flora are very kind and we loved everything about her food she prepared for us :) ! We enjoyed every single moment and would love to come back any time!

A stunning house in the perfect location! This was a great spot from which to explore this part of the coast. As other reviewers have said, the drive to the property is steep but paved, and there is a long set of stairs from the parking spot to the house. The house is beautifully decorated and has all of the appliances you'll need. The property manager was available when we needed him and gave us great recommendations to local restaurants. We'd stay here again!

Everything was fine. I stayed for 15 days. You need to let the water run for 30 seconds before engaging the hot water heater. It was hard to make the bed and it is really high up to get up on.

Despite the rains, the family had a wonderful time at the home. On the last day the rains finally cleared and the view was absolutely stunning. A 4x4 is an absolute must!

My wife, son and I stayed 4 nights in this lovely hill top home. The serenity, wild life, views and hikes were stunning. We stayed off season in August and the variety of weather and thus the moods was enchanting. The rain clouds and sun playing patterns across the sheep covered hillsides reminded us of New Zealand or Europe. The mornings could be chilly but sleeping was warm and cozy with adequate blankets. Most everything you would need was supplied and though it seemed we were 100 miles away, the local town was close and a larger town was only a 30 minute drive. Restaurants, fruits and supplies were within reach. The local caretakers Maria and Josè were very friendly, spoke enough english and were extremely responsive/helpful. I highly recommend this stay if a rural, remote, peaceful, quiet setting interests you. We hope to return for a longer stay in the near future.

Our host was great! He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed from day one. Our location was very convenient. It is centrally located between Dominical Beach and San Isidro. And walking distance to Nauyaca Waterfalls. Nature surrounds this beautiful jungle park like destination. Every morning/day we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and butterflies! There are an amazing variety of birds to watch! Some days we got glimpses of the Agouti and the turkey-looking black birds with bright yellow beaks walking through. And the nature sounds were music to our ears! We took advantage of the lemon trees too! The private outdoor space was perfect for us and we used it daily, rain or shine. We were provided a carport for parking. The property is gated and safe.

This is a MUST BOOK. Erik is an incredible host who offered both flexible check in and check out to us, which took a lot of stress out of traveling. Beyond that, he was an attentive host who kindly renegotiated the property rate due to the potential of minor leaks. Erik is truly honest and committed to making his guests have the most enjoyable time possible. The house itself is gorgeous and in an incredible location. It is private, in the rainforest, yet a short drive away from beautiful beaches and fantastic restaurants. Also the view from the house is incredible! The kitchen is great, and he even has a grill to cook on! Beyond the property, Erik was also able to arrange for us a horseback expedition near the house which was absolutely stunning and a true highlight of the trip. Thank you so much Erik, would recommend this property to anyone!!

Love the place. The host helped arrange a car rental which you must have to get to the place. We used an uber a couple of times - although the uber couldn’t get all the way to the place.

April and her place are AMAZING. We had the best experience in her jungalow. April helped us a lot preparing our stay and during the stay itself. She was VERY accommodating with our every request. She cooked tasty vegetarian meals every night for us and made sure she would let us know when jungle animals (monkeys, birds etc...) could be spotted around the property. We stayed 4 nights with two boys age 3 and 5 and they loved it too. Top place and host for whoever wants something off the beaten path, authentic and comfortable. The trail to get there is a little rough with steep parts but we thought it added to the charm of the place bringing additional “adventure” feel the the experience.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The landscaping and scenery were beautiful. Jeff and Nando were friendly and so helpful with great suggestions for activities and restaurants. We used the pool daily and sometimes at night. It was so refreshing after the heat of the day. The 3 building concept was unique and very liveable.

We had such a sweet, relaxing and comfortable stay here. Michele greeted us with fresh pineapple juice and homemade cookies. She was available if we needed her. The pool was heavenly! We saw (and heard!) so much incredible wildlife from the comfort of our patio. You really feel like you’re immersed in the jungle, in the safest friendliest way. No AC but the pool cools you right off. Hot showers available if you’re into that kinda thing. Very minimal biting insects. Curious, friendly resident basilisk lizards, howler monkeys, scarlet macaws and toucans. Kitchen was well stocked and easy to use. Anything we needed but couldn’t find, Michele provided with ease. Gorgeous sunset over the ocean views every day. Totally worth the long bumpy ride up the mountain for this little oasis out of town. We would love to return!

If you're looking for a spot just off the beaten path with the beauty of the rainforest right at your fingertips and the coast just a short walk away, then this is the place for you. The layout and outdoor living spaces of the home allow you to enjoy the toucans, scarlet macaws, hummingbirds and even monkeys if you have a keen eye. The howler monkey was hard to spot, but he put on quite a show! You'll spot wildlife along the path to the beach as well, so enjoy the short walk. After you've spotted the iguana and what we thought was an agouti, you'll find the truly semi-private beach. We will miss the magic of the coast and rainforest for sure. Uvita is just a short drive away and we liked that it wasn't heavily congested. You'll find a waterfall close to Uvita and we discovered the hidden gem of a restaurant called Tilapias El Pavón. All that to say, we loved the location. It was peaceful and had everything we needed for the perfect beach vacation.

This property was everything we were looking for and more. Nestled in the mountains of Costa Rica surrounded by wildlife and unforgettable beautiful scenery that we would certainly revisit. The house was big, comfortable, and had everything we needed to prepare quality meals. Our family had a wonderful time in the pool and watching the animals that surrounded the property in every direction. This home is a dream and the property management team made the experience that much better. Excellent communication, guidebook, service, and support.

Uvita is nothing short of amazing. The house is beautiful, a little wear and tear but overall a great house. Couple things to note, the sun rises around 5am and it gets bright, so bring a sleep mask if that will bother you. It gets dark early and maps are a little tricky so get comfortable with finding the house before venturing out at night. Having housekeeping was great and all the assistance for excursions, car rentals, and transfers was super helpful. Make sure you go to los laureles. Great food and wonderful people. The ATV tour was really fun, highly recommend the 2 seaters. Definitely recommend close toed water shoes, getting to the beaches in Costa Rica can be a little tricky and they’re great if you go to waterfalls (which you definitely should go to Uvita waterfall and slide down the waterfall!) use google maps, Waze will mislead you. Enjoy this beautiful country and home!

Beautiful space and surroundings, awesome pool, super friendly and responsive hosts, darling children, and big adorable (sometimes loud) dog. Short bike ride to beaches, restaurants, and yoga classes. All round a great place. We loved our stay.

Seven of us stayed for my sons high school graduation trip. In the words of my 18 year old son and his friends, "it was the best vacation and house ever!" And we've traveled a LOT. Cynthia was absolutely amazing, always responsive, gave us great restaurant and activity suggestions, and was so kind. Our favorite part besides the amazing views and surroundings of the house, was the private beach. Boogie boarding was our favorite activity and the beach was GORGEOUS! We also went to a waterfall that was just a 20 min drive and it was so beautiful and fun. The home was easy to find with the waze app, and everything we needed was within a 10 minute drive. We saw howler monkey's, toucans, Macaws and capuchin monkeys. The house is completely private and showering with a view of the ocean was magical. The maid service was great and the kitchen was fully equipped. A vehicle is a must (4x4). The Casita was my sons favorite part of the house. Our only regret was that we couldnt stay longer.
