Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Uttarakhand

My experience with Lakehouse Home Stay was simply amazing. I'll try to describe my experience in detail from start to finish. Booking and Checkin: Anuj was extremely helpful even before booking the property, he cleared all my doubts with fast responses and since the price was fluctuating he assisted me to book at the right time so that I get the best price. I booked the place for 1 guest and at the last moment on the same morning of Checkin, a friend of mine decided to join me and Anuj was quick in assisting me to change the reservation details. He provided me with Prakash's number (Care taker of the property) in advance so that I could contact him to guide us to the property. Upon reaching, Prakash helped us with the luggage since you have to climb a lot of stairs to reach the property as mentioned in the description and let me tell you that 150 stair climb is so worth it when you witness the view from the balcony. Location: The property is perfectly situated, it's right above the mall road so you get a great view of the lake, at the same time it's high enough that you can stay in peace away from the busy mall road. Stay: The property is spacious and can easily accommodate a family of 4-5. Washrooms are clean and well maintained, a geyser is installed in the kitchen and has connections to the bathroom as well if you need warm water, there is also a dedicated kitchen space however not furnished, if you're carrying your own cooking equipment then make use of it by all means. Apart from the property, Prakash was very helpful and always available when needed. He can cook you meals on demand although they can be slightly expensive I'd say, we got 1 Maggi and 1 bread Omelette prepared and it cost us ₹250 but it's worth it considering that Prakash is available at all times for requests like these. He also offered to re-heat any type of take away food that we get packed from a restaurant or collect any order that we want to get delivered since the property is situated 150 stairs above the mall road and delivery guy will not deliver it at your door step. (Of course we didn't ask him to do all this but it was amazing to see that he himself offered us this favor). The complimentary breakfast was great. First day we got Aalu Choley (Potatoe with chick peas) and Poori with Tea/coffee on the side. The next day we got stuffed parathas and poha along with tea/coffee. I almost forgot that main attraction of this place is the Balcony swing that you can chill on in the night or during the day it's just that good combined with the beautiful view. Also, a good wifi connection is available if you need to use it for your office needs. Checkout: I wasn't feeling well on the day of checkout and it was nice to see that Prakash didn't rush us for the checkout and at the same time was kind enough to hold our luggage bags with him for us to pick up later. If that wasn't enough he also dropped the luggage to us downstairs at the mall road when we were leaving the town. Also during the stay it was nice to see that Anuj also messaged to check on us if everything is going well and if we were comfortable. Overall, I'm really happy with the place and if you can manage the stairs then I'd recommend this property 10/10. P.S. If you have rented a vehicle or have one of your own you can also reach the property from one road above as mentioned in the description, it's much more convenient than climbing 150 stairs.

It is a fantastic place with very warm people. Devika Aunty is an amazing woman who has created a magical corner surrounded by hills. Her charming cottage is decorated with peach plants, blooming hydrengeas and hemmed by lovely pink climbing rose vines. Her staff is caring and take great effort to make the guests feel comfortable. Every meal we had here is a memory to cherish - from bengali luchis to pahadi rajma and ragi roti. It is a place to relax and reflect, a slice of good life that we all chase put together affectionately by the incredible Devika Aunty.

Had really a great stay with family at Ritu Aunty’s Secret Garden Bungalow. Probably my best experience so far. Whatever you ask for a good stay was present there. Need nature? It was there. Need peaceful serene ambience? It was there. Need cozy ambience in lush green surroundings? It was there. Need views of hills? It was there. Need swiggy, zomato or blinkit? It was there. Need good accessibility to city area? It was there. The property shouldn’t be in the hustle bustle area of Dehradun? You get it. You need someone to cook delicious food for you? Ritu aunty is always so welcoming and caring to cook great food for you. Absolutely a 10/10 stay. Highly recommended! 💯

It was such a lovely trip staying at the Terrace Garden home. Rekha and Abanish are such warm and considerate hosts. I was travelling with my children and two furrys and it was one of the best , comfortable stay ever. Google is near accurate if you are travelling by road and the hosts very much took the effort of staying in touch and helped me with the location queries.It's a lovely place situated in a serene locality. The place is warm, welcoming, neat,and Rekha is a lovely person to interact with. She was very prompt whenever we requested for something, her staff is equally sweet. . It was very convenient to have a small kitchen to ourselves as well.Also If are a dog lover or own a pet this place is an absolute delight.They have couple of adorable loving dogs who pretty much are happy in their own space. It's quite a safe place for your kids and the pets, no unnecessary noise or traffic around. The terrace garden is everything they have written about, gorgeous view and they do love hosting their guests.Whether you are travelling alone or with children or pets, I strongly recommend this place. The place is 25-30 minutes away from the main Pacific Mall .( just an info for the mall addicts)We are definitely coming back soon and we are told their son plays some lovely music on request, which we missed this time.looking forward to brilliant evenings and more lovely conversations with you rekha)

Ahoy, future travellers this place became my home away from home for two days. The hosts are very warm and helpful. The place is good for three to four travellers. The place is situated away from hustle bustle of city on a ridge of a picturesque ridge of Almora. The hosts were really helpful in arranging local sight seeing tour.

Their staff is extremely helpful and pleasant, rooms are very comfortable, view is great from the balcony & we were treated to delicious, large spread of food, prepared hygienically with fresh local produce, all served with love. Inclusion in their Diwali festivities & fireworks (without any additional charge) made us feel like family & shows their large heartedness and genuine love for people. Wonderful and cozy place with amazing views of Baspa river and majestic mountains. Shubham was responsive right from the time I booked. Also the caretaker was very helpful.

We really had a wonderful time with entire family. Entire family was very warm and welcoming. The kids specially, made my wife's birthday. They were with her the entire day and also got bouquets and hand made cards and also baked a cake for her. My wife and I will never forget the hospitality and warmth and the experience that we had the Ghariya House. We would definitely recommend given the view and the warmth that family adds. We are also planning to visit this amazing family again.

I was looking for a place which is safe and comfortable for female solo travelers and away from the maddenning crowd and was lucky to come across this beautiful property on AirBnb. Amazing location, helpful host, caretakers and great owners. The place was very clean, modern, had everything I needed to feel at home, and was an easy walk to all the sites I wanted to see. Last but not least the uncle I met at the reception is really cute, kind and welcoming :). Good vibes all the way. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Karan's place. It is away from the usual tourist hubs within a short driving distance to Sattal and Bhimtal and has a great view of the valley from the terrace and balcony, which are open to guests. The caretaker, Mr Saraj was very polite and attentive to all our requests and Karan kindly provided an early check in. The room was clean and comfortable.

My experience with air bnb has not always been great and this time I was quite skeptical because I was traveling with my 6 month old baby. I was praying really hard that I don't run into any big issues. But I was pleasantly surprised to see that the place is very, very close to what the pictures show. The description about the place is very accurate and honest and that's why I didn't mind climbing those stairs and the view from the top TOTALLY makes the effort worth it! The absolute BEST part about this place- the warmth and hospitality of the host and the caretakers. They were ALWAYS just a phone call away. Property's care takers, Sandeep and Arjun, are super helpful and serve the most delicious breakfast. I would totally recommend this place to anyone visiting mussoorie. The rooms are massive and so well equipped. The deck area is the perfect place to soak up some sun and enjoy your meals. The location is the second best thing about the place- you are so close to the mall road but don't run into any bad traffic situations. 10/10 for the place and the entire experience.

I visited here for a day and honestly I wish I could’ve stayed a lil longer. The place is so cozy and beautifully done, perfect for a getaway in the hills. The room was super clean. It gave a homely vibe, the view from the balcony was amazing. The staff were really sweet and helpful. They were making sure that everything was just right and the food was so delicious. I am definitely coming back for a longer visit next time.

Had a lovely stay at The Foliage over the long weekend. The location in Sunkiya village is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful hills—perfect for a quiet getaway. The rooms were clean, cozy, and well-equipped. What made it truly special was the warmth and hospitality. The host was incredibly kind, always checking in to ensure we were comfortable. She even arranged a bonfire, which brought all the guests together—felt like hanging out with old friends by the end. Gopal, the cook and caretaker, was equally sweet and made delicious meals throughout. It felt less like a stay and more like being welcomed into someone’s home. Highly recommended—and I’d definitely love to visit again.

I had a one night stay in there Listing and it was a wonderful memorable experience . I didn't felt that i am away from home. Mr Sudhir and his wife Suman jee are amazing people. They were so much loving and caring like family members.Great environment,Beautiful lawn with lush green trees. The food cooked by Mr Pramod was beyond words. The Great taste of food and that too home cooked and the presentation was amazing. They have beautiful aura in the room and all the amenities available and amazing choice of Music.I will surely visit there again .

That was an awesome weekend getaway. . nestled at the edge of the jungle, the location is perfect for nature enthusiasts and those seeking some tranquillity. The brief drive through the jungle to reach the cottage is an adventure in itself; the transition from the farms to suddenly being enveloped by the forest, which then opens up into this serene stay is something that'll stay with you. The hosts are incredibly knowledgeable about the local birds, the wildlife and plants; we were captivated by their stories of Corbett. Poonam, the caretaker deserves a special mention for the yum meals and chai which made the stay that much more comfortable. The cottage's proximity to the national park is a huge plus, the right kinda distance from the touristy hullbaloo nearer the park entrance. The host's deep ties with the reserve provided us with invaluable suggestions and made the visit seamless and memorable. We'll be looking forward to our next visit here!
