We had a very comfortable stay. House was warm and inviting. Breakfast provisions were amazing, from home made sour dough bread and pancakes, to cereals. The house is obviously a labour of love, with lots of interesting nick nacks. Thanks Becky

Blackbird House was perfect for our family weekend. Great location and just a minutes walk to Martinborough Square. Safe, secure section for our little dog and plenty of inside space for all of us. Very comfortable beds and the log fire made us very cosy. Thanks Nigel and Rebecca.

A cosy, well equipped house, beautifully situated right by the beach, perfect for our long weekend away visiting family over King's Birthday weekend. Thankyou so much Amy.

Hidden gem in a beautiful spot - our only regret was not staying longer! It's close to Porirua/Paraparaumu, but involves a slightly steep winding gravel drive so feels like a world away. The surrounding native bush is stunning, and we loved all the cosy little touches (blankets, pre-prepared fireplace, coffee and milk etc). Lots of outdoor space, would be amazing for a longer family getaway in nature. Really appreciated the proactive comms from James & Emma too.

Great neighbourhood and location. The house was comfortable and quiet and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. Easy access to the city. Great fire for cold nights!

The house was tidy, very well appointed, clean and gorgeous. The deck is huge and the proximity to the wineries and the square was perfect.

Such a great place to stay, perfect for our group. Lots of space, both as a large group but also breakout areas. Outdoors is stunning, great to wander around in the sun and fresh air, very quiet and peaceful - our dogs love it!! Well equipped throughout, kitchen had all the staples and plenty of serving ware for group meals, bedrooms were all fabulously set out, plenty of extra bedding and towels if needed. Lots of games to have fun with, plus the pool and tennis court. We had a blast, thank you for having us!!

The place was just as pictured. Lovely loft barn style super cozy and comfortable. Jessica took the time to light the fire and have the place already warm for us before we got then and as very accommodating with any request. Would happily book here again

Vicki has such an amazing place! Had no trouble at all finding it, easy check in and really friendly. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for some time away, would definitely stay here again.

We had a fabulous time celebrating our mums birthday with a weekend of relaxation at Melleny and Simon’s place. We had 3 young children who had a blast with the toys/books/pool and outdoor activities (just be mindful of a steep staircase to the third floor but this was foretold to us) Lovely peaceful location and Melleny and Simon were wonderful hosts with prompt communication and reassurance to our queries. We will be back!

Great home and location - the bath tubs were very special. Didn't realise there was a Tiny House out the back - I wasn't sure if someone was in there or not.

Right from the start we had good communications and a friendly welcome. Beautiful position and views and quiet and tranquil. Was a restful and peaceful 4 days. We were welcomed by Donna as we drove up to the house and she walked us to our rooms and explained everything to us showing us around the flat. There was fresh milk in the fridge along with chocolates and fruit from the garden. Dean was friendly and helpful, and we had several long conversations over the weekend about the property and the Kapiti Coast in general. The purpose of our stay was to relax but also visit the area with a view to moving to the Kapiti area, all our expectations were fulfilled, friendly people, lovely beaches and scenery and great weather. Good location. shopping Center, supermarket is walking distance or short drive away. Impressive kitchen and utensils for cooking. Plenty of spices, cooking ingredients and breakfast cereal are provided as well. Pretty sure the owner is food enthusiasts or chef. Well equipped kitchen same as what you have at home.

A lovely town with a coastal and nature-filled vibe — very family-friendly. The host was wonderful and extremely helpful. The house is well-organized and comfortable for a family stay, including two bicycles available for guests to use. There are cute cafés around with a laid-back, holiday atmosphere.

Very comfortable and warm place. Loved how close we were to everything. Definitely booking again.

Miramar is a little gem, a lovely restaurant at hand, native bush a short walk away, there's trolls!, and a Brewery. what's not to like

We enjoyed our stay, surrounded by a beautiful garden and at walking distance from the beach, restaurants and bakery. Neighboring a reserve at the back was a bonus, so we had more space to play ball games. It was a great place to rest and relax, indoor or outdoor. Board games available to play when it rained. One thing to note is that the bedroom upstairs, although private, it doesn't have a door to block any noise from downstairs. It is a cute cottage with lots of space for everybody.

This house was excellent for our extended family gathering – the kids loved the table tennis room, the oldies loved the view, and we all loved the direct access to the beach. Thank you, Jill, – your communications were great, the house was spotless, the beds were super and the setting made this a gathering we will all remember, even though it was for Great Grandma’s funeral.

I proposed to my beautiful fiancé in the beautiful green house. We got to relax in the warm cozy tiny home and then woke up to 1 hungry alpaca and 1 moody one (they both were adorable) we will forever remember our stay. As it marks the beginning of our eternal love. Thank you for being an amazing Host even from afar. 🖤

We loved our (2) stays at the delightful Clarabel Cottage. The fenced yard was wonderful as our little dog was able to safely go outdoors. We arrived after dark on a cold night to find Catherine had left heating on for us. What a treat walking into cosy, warm accomodation. We will certainly stay again.
