Holiday appartment in Oberammergau

Our flat was renovated in March 2013. You can expect a bright and modern living room with space for up to three people. The kitchenette is equipped with a dish-washer, stove, coffee/espresso maker, micro-wave, kettle, toaster, fridge and sink. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. The bed room is on the first floor and offers a cozy double bed as well as a flat-screen TV with DVD-player. There is also a private terrace attached to the flat, with sunlight for almost the entire day as well as a garden. The house is built entirely of native wood and offers a particularly healthy living comfort. About Oberammergau: The small town of Oberammergau is located in the Bavarian Alps. It hosts the famous Oberammergau Passion Play every ten years. Much of its charme is due to the village's historical colourful houses ('Lüftlmalerei'). But Oberammergau is also an active community: a cinema, a theatre, a few museums and a variety of cafés and restaurants make Oberammergau a nice place to live. You can also easily reach the famous castles of Linderhof and Neuschwanstein (by car it will take you 15 or 45 min respectively to reach the castles). The Ettal Abbey is about 2 miles/4 km from Oberammergau, and you can walk or cycle there. In the winter, the Bavarian Alps are a skiing region. Oberammergau offers ski lifts for amateurs and pros alike. Garmisch-Partenkirchen (20 min by car) is Germany's largest ski ressort. We are member of the Königscard initiative, which means that you will be able to use the swimming pools, ski lifts, museums and many other activities (including boat tours, guided tours in the snow, theatre plays...) in Oberammergau and the entire region (Tirol, Ammergauer Alpen, Blaues Land, Allgäu) for free! There is more information available on the Königscard website which you can easily find with a search engine. This is a great offer for anyone who would like to make the most of their holiday and is entirely for free for you!

The apartment Rose is located in a traffic calmed area in the center of Oberammergau between City hall and the Museum. Many shops including grocery stores, tourism information, train station and the Passionplay theatre can be reached comfortably by foot. The apartment is about 650 sqft in size with a living room with kitchen, 1 bed room, bathroom with shower, private outside sitting area, 1 parking space. The garden with a grill, a washing machine and drier are shared with other house guests.

Very quiet, cozy and stylish apartment on the creek. Old building with wooden and stone floors. New bathroom and new kitchen. A mixture of old and new garnished with a lot of art and culture. In the summer you can relax on the partly covered terrace or in the garden in the sun lounger. The garden is more than half natural, with orchids, other wild flowers and grasses. In the cold season, you will be greeted with roaring fire in the fireplace and supplied with firewood

I was together with my dog for 1 week in the accommodation of Herbert and Gisela. The apartment was great, new & high-quality, clean & lovingly furnished. There was a parking lot with a direct path to the balcony door, which was totally practical because of the luggage. I felt completely comfortable! Gisela & Herbert were totally nice, Herbert showed me everything important & gave me excursion tips. He brought me the forgotten guest card shortly after my arrival. I met Gisela at the end when the keys were handed over. I was asked directly how my stay was & if I had any suggestions for improvement. The hosts were easily accessible. The surroundings are great & above all quiet, you can walk around the lake & the beer garden has delicious food. If you want to make excursions further away, a car is an advantage. After Füssen & Partenkirchen I needed about 30-40 minutes. Clear recommendation and a big thank you for everything! :-)

Our stay with Bernhard and Tina was really great. The place was, as described, very nicely decorated and also very clean. Since we love to cook, we were particularly impressed by the kitchen equipment: lemon squeezer, measuring cup and stirrer ... it has everything you could wish for. The two were by far the best hosts we've ever had. Two such open and warm people are rarely met. They supported us with detailed suggestions for hiking tours and even provided us with equipment (sticks, jackets, hats, etc.) as we were not prepared for the early cold snap. We'll be back for sure!
