Lynda is a brilliant host and had tea, coffee, milk and fruits ready for us before we arrived. The place was very clean and felt like home. Kids loved the place and the board games. The icing on the cake is the location as, it is next to Ocean edge. She responded promptly for any questions we had. We have enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return back if we visit surrounding places. Thank you very much for hosting us Lynda, we had a great time.

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

I'd stay at Jackie's place again whenever I next visit no question. Good price, and the place is exactly as she's described. And whenever I messaged her she always responded back to me within 30mins at most which is excellent

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Quite possibly the easiest air bnb to check into, absolutely immaculate and amazing location with the most stunning views!! Will 100% be returning!

The Fell Barn was absolutely lovely - perfect for a family of 4. The welcome hamper was amazing, including eggs, milk, orange juice, fruit, cheese, coffee.. the list goes on. The location was perfect for exploring both the Lakes and the coast, and Ulverston (the local town) has plenty of useful shops and restaurants / pubs. The owners were very welcoming and gave us lots of tips of places to go / see and local events that were on. Our dog was very safe in the secured garden and we were welcome to use the next door field at that time. A perfect stay - thank you.

The house was a great place from which to explore the surrounding towns and villages. Ulverston is a lovely little town to visit and a short drive away. Anthony was very helpful and accurate on his description of Askam. We settled in on the evenings and lit the cozy log burner. Anthony was very responsive and helpful both before and during our stay.

We really struggled to find the cottage as the sat nav took us to two completely different places beforehand! At 8pm in the pouring rain, with two young children we were knocking on the door of another 3 The Row, Spark Bridge to find a worried Air BnBer thinking we'd been double booked! I tried to phone the number for the host listed on AirBnB but no response. I was surprised to have no return call later on to check there were no emergenices once they'd seen the missed calls! We only found the cottage by chance after driving round and round. Cottage was lovely, very cosy, everything you need is there. Garden is beautiful, yes communal but we only saw one other neighbour who was lovely and told us the history of the cottages. The river in the garden is amazing! Wish I'd read listing properly and seen it was pet friendly (my error) as it was either the pet hair or the plug in air fresheners that brought on my allergies! Overall we had a lovely stay to break up our journey to Scotland!

Had a weekend of hiking and exploring the Lake District planned with 6 people, and the Braffin property was absolutely perfect for our stay. There was enough space for everyone, and had everything we needed from being able to cook dinner in the kitchen, to relax in the lounge watching TV. Having the fire place on in the evening was a bonus that made the place feel even more cosy than it already was, and the views of the town and sea from the window were amazing. Clare was an extremely friendly and helpful host, always quick to respond to messages and making sure our stay was as comfy as possible.

We had a very restful and enjoyable stay at 32 Oversands Drive. Excellent communications with the owners throughout. Such a spacious, well-equipped and beautiful home. Felt relaxed the moment we stepped inside. The well-stocked garden, full of late summer flowers, provided a perfect spot for sitting. Great views across Morecambe Bay to the hills on the other side; you can see the weather coming and going across the great sweep of sky. Grange over Sands such a friendly place. Lovely walks along the promenade overlooking the saltmarsh and estuary, beautiful old station, plenty of independent shops. Nearby Cartmel well worth a visit. We had booked Predator Experience for our son's 21st birthday, and had a great time there, getting to know the wolves! It's also not too long a drive to the Lakes: we climbed Harter Fell and Loughrigg, visiting Coniston and Ullswater as well. A perfect holiday, made really special by having such a comfortable, spacious and welcoming place to stay. Thank you.

We loved our stay at Easter How, it was perfect for our family get together. The gardens are gorgeous and our daughter's dog enjoyed exploring all the different paths. My dad enjoyed feeding the birds so thank you for providing the food for that too! It really was a home from home, so comfortable with great facilities and in such a tranquil setting. We enjoyed walking to High Dam Tarn a couple of times too, the second time we took the easier route through the field as my parents found the steep climb tough going the first time. Justin (co-host) kept us updated and we had the added bonus of meeting him when he dropped off some coffee beans! A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is very private with a fantastic view from the living room. Great location allowing easy access to nearby pubs and to the ferry. We were surrounded by wildlife, and particularly enjoyed seeing the family of baby rabbits hop around the cottage garden each evening.

Clean and tidy, close to all amenities and would definitely stay there again.

This is just a stunning place - situated in a beautiful valley with views of the far mountains. House was full of character, all amenities we wanted were there, and just loved being able to walk from the house.

Very enjoyable weekend at High Lowscales. The views are especially impressive, so while you enjoy a beer you look over the coast. The house is spacious and well catered for and the jacuzzi and sauna are nice touches. Mark was very responsive to a few questions and requests and gave us loads of information about the local area.

Lovely cottage in a quiet setting, about 25 mins from both Coniston and Windermere. The cottage is comfortably furnished with all the kitchen essentials for your break away. Steve was very quick to respond to messages both before the holiday giving us some helpful tips on places to go and during our visit as needed. We had a very relaxed time there with plenty to do in the surrounding area's.

We had a wonderful stay at Andrew’s place. The house is full of charm, combining historic character with modern comforts. Everything was spotless, well-equipped, and thoughtfully arranged. The location was peaceful yet well-connected, making it a great base for exploring the Lake District. Check-in was smooth with clear instructions, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Andrew was responsive and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the area — we’d definitely stay again!

The host was lovely, offering to help with anything we needed. A really lovely 2 bedroom house with a good size kitchen that had everything that you’d have at home, nice and clean too. A few lovely touches with biscuits and wine on our arrival. Considering the house is so close to the shops and restaurants it was nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here, and would definitely book it again.
