Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Tynemouth

Very cosy home. Plenty of room, very comfortable sofas and bed. Lovely touch of fresh bread, croissants, milk and fruit. Instructions for TV etc were very clear and recommendations of where to eat were very helpful. The house was very near the beach area and also the Metro to Newcastle. We would definitely recommend this home for anyone visiting the area.

Easy to find, beach 5 mins from property, the house was well kitted out and very dog friendly, within easy reach of shops. Be aware of the places to walk your dog on the beach ( times of the year) as the neighbour pointed out they fine you £1000 and have wardens who do check. We used the house as a base to discover the stunning coast line / Villages, Holy Island a must see. Gary was a great host and left fresh bread and milk /juice for when we arrived. We would recommend this place

This is a perfect home for a family stay - it was clean, comfortable, spacious and had everything we needed. It was a short walk to the beach and there is plenty to do in the local area. We had a wonderful time, thank you so much!

We had a lovely stay. Location was spot on for walking down to Whitley Bay with lots of things to do. Sainsbury’s was the closest supermarket which was no more than a 5 minute drive. The house was very well presented and looked after. Only feedback I would give is the bedrooms could do with some lamps in them and if you are going with a child remember to take stair gate. All in all the house was perfect for what we needed and the communication was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying and will be looking to book again in the future. Thanks Ella

We had a wonderful stay at Anna’s place! It’s a beautiful home that has been lovingly renovated and thoughtfully equipped for guests. Anna even provided treats for our dog as well as other goodies to make us feel welcome. Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed for a weekend to visit family nearby. House is super clean and presented beautifully. Really good location- quiet road but very close to lots of shops and restaurants. Thoroughly recommend as a base when in this area. Thank you

The apartment was perfect in size and location for the things we wanted to see in and around South Shields. The coastline is beautiful, walk to Marsden Grotto along the coast took about 1 1/2 hrs with amazing birdlife (bus back) Foot ferry over to North Shields, bus and Metro ticket good, St Mary’s Lighthouse a must , check tide times. Tyne Mouth a special place with Priory and spectacular views .Roman Fort next to the Apartment a hidden gem and free. Sadly some of South Shields needs a Spruce up like so many places on our Coastline. Elaine is a lovely host.

We loved Teema’s place and the area! It’s nice and cozy without feeling claustrophobic, and it had everything we needed to feel right at home, including a well-equipped kitchen. We had a great time exploring the beach at low tide on a beautiful day – you can see the water from out the windows, only a short walk away. Would love to stay again!

This is a lovely little hideaway for the few days that we were there. The hosts are very friendly and the milk, coffee and fruit were very welcomed. A lovely cosy area to sit in the sun, situated right by the door. Comfortable, clean and handy for the Metro within 5 mins walk. Local shops within easy walking distance. A very peaceful stay. Highly recommended

Absolutely loved my stay here! The place is beautifully decorated with so much character—stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The setting was perfect too—peaceful, charming, and a great base for exploring the area. What really made the experience stand out were the hosts. Super friendly and welcoming, with incredible local knowledge that totally upgraded my trip. From hidden gems to the best spots to eat and explore, their tips made all the difference. John and Irene very friendly and responsive hosts. Home nicely situated in quiet neighbourhood. Very clean and homely. Well kitted out with everything you need for short stays-in our experience this is not always the case so always take some essentials with us. Can recommend and would certainly book again if visiting the area again. Enjoyed visiting, Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay. Lots of good cafe's and bars and no shortage of supermarkets should you need. People very friendly and welcoming.

Andrew was a fantastic host. Very responsive and accomodating. We had a late check out following the great north run, no issues at all, highly recommend!

Third stay at Lady Rhoda! One of the best air b and bs we have ever stayed in. We stayed with our toddler and our baby. We were able to borrow the cot - a very good one too- and it was really easy to get the buggy inside! We have never had a problem with parking either and always manage to get the spot right outside! We will be back again! Thank you!

A lovely apartment, bright and comfortable in a historic area of Newcastle, near to the castle and cathedral. Lots of good restaurants on the doorstep, a perfect place to stay.

We stayed in this lovely apartment for a long weekend celebrating with family who live locally. The apartment was perfect, great location, clean, and just want we needed. The hot tub was a complete win with our children. The courtyard is private and a real sun trap. We will be back.

A comfortable and homely place to stay for work in Newcastle. Close to a reliable bus route into town. Jen was friendly and thoughtful and we felt right at home. It's a place that's good value, unpretentious and feels like Airbnb used to be!

Myself, my partner and friends visited for the weekend and had a fab time. Lesley-Ann was a brilliant host and the apartment was beautiful in the perfect location. The handbook was filled with loads of info on things to do, recommended restaurants and bars etc. Would 100% stay again and would recommend highly ❤️

Communication has been excellent since the day I booked to the day you met us when we arrived. Seeing my parents smiles when we walked in told me I had made the right choice, you were so welcoming and the views from the living room are amazing, everything was fantastic and your advice on where to go for the football was perfect 👌🏻 Communication has been excellent and it was so good to meet you on our arrival, hopefully we will return in the near future as there are still many places to return to for more reminiscing.
