This place was exactly what my family needed for our beach getaway! The layout of the house is so cozy and it felt like a home away from home. The 180’ of ocean views was truly amazing. We watched a pod of humpback whales go back and forth throughout the day and got to watch a feeding frenzy of thousands of birds all from the balcony! We drove 20 minutes to Henry Cowell Redwoods State park and walked around Pacific Ave in Santa Cruz. From the spot we walked to the beach (with all our boogie boards, sand toys, towels, umbrella, etc.), took advantage of Venus’ happy hour and really didn’t need to use our car for two days! This will definitely be a spot we stay at again!

We had a wonderful time during our recent stay at Sean's place. The house is so spacious and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We especially loved the large kitchen; it never felt crowded, even with a few of us in there at once. We also really appreciated how well-equipped the kitchen was with all the pots, pans, plates, and other essentials we needed. Our kids absolutely adored the pool area! It was beautiful and private, and they had so much fun with the basketball hoop. They also loved watching the hummingbirds at the backyard water fountain and the rabbits hopping around in the garden. Overall, we had an amazing stay. Thanks for hosting us!

Place is exactly as described. Glad we asked about the heated pool and got it heated during our stay. June was still chilly at night and would have made the pool too cold to swim in for mots of the day without heating. Place was clean and exactly as described.

The decor was delightful! Very well outfitted with everything you need.beds super comfy. Really good size. We had more than enough room. I appreciate that Crystal saw no issue with my service dog joining us. I was a bit disappointed that you had to be on the balcony to see the beach. There was a complex in the front blocking most of the view from indoors. I also had issue with parking. The garage was only for small cars and the street parking was inconsistent and required several steps. My handicapped daughter found it a bit difficult. The area was not easily walked being on a very very steep hill. I wish there were more info in the description. All in all, it was a gorgeous place and really clean, highly recommend for non handicapped folks.

This is a unique, spacious, comfortable, beautiful, clean and fun place to stay. We had eight people in our group — four kids (3rd grader to 8th grader) and four adults (two couples). So much space to spread out, relax, read, play games, socialize, cook, eat, work (if needed), swim, soak in the hot tub, and just explore the property and the surrounding area. We hope to be back. Thank you to our hosts for sharing this place — and for being so welcoming and also responsive if we had a question.

Cute little home in quiet neighborhood, about a mile from downtown Capitola. We were there for a family wedding so didn’t take advantage of all of the amenities, but the kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels for bathrooms, nice backyard space, and even an iron which came in handy day of event. Host was very responsive and even checked in while we were there to see if there was anything we needed.

I had a most wonderful stay at this peaceful and lovely hideaway. The place was ideal and so convenient—to the beach, to Santa Cruz's sights, and walkable spaces—but as perfect as it was, Ron and Nikki were the perfect hosts. Helpful ahead of check-in, responsive and full of great suggestions once I was in, and when I needed to help out a relative, extremely understanding and accommodating. Can't wait to come back!

This is my second year renting. Kim’s place works well for my little family. We loved access to boogie boards. Just perfect for my 6 year old granddaughter who tried it for the first time. Also used a couple of beach chairs. I don’t remember them at my past stay.

We had two families with young kiddos and Kate's place was perfect for our weekend stay. The driveway is a bit narrow, and the street you enter from can be busy due to beach traffic, but it's totally worth the effort. Once you're in the Kate's Airbnb, you feel comfortable and relaxed, with the beach and the ocean visible from the front of the house and the front yard that was perfect for the kiddos to hangout in. Kate was super responsive and incredibly pleasant and made our stay as comfortable as can be. We love visiting Santa Cruz and will definitely keep Kate's beach house on our list of places to stay the next time we're in town!

We had an amazing time! This home is great for kids. Lots of toys, books, and amenities suited for families. Short walk to the beach. We will definitely be back!

We really love this charming beach house in lovely Capitola! Spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated, it has a large, well equipped kitchen with newer appliances and a dining table in a sunny nook; comfy, pretty living room with lots of seating and a cozy gas fireplace for chilling ocean-side nights; and two spacious bedrooms with lots of storage for your clothing and comfortable beds. Out back is a lovely yard with more seating, so nice to enjoy a coffee and pastry from the local cafe surrounded by flowers and citrus trees. In the garage are 4 beach cruiser style bikes and helmets, a ping pong table, and all sorts of supplies for the beach. The neighborhood is great, with a small beach just a block away, and a cute main street with several restaurants, a cafe, and an ice cream shop. An easy bike ride to Capitola Village & easy drive to SC Beach Boardwalk. Really thoughtfully appointed - you can tell that everything has been carefully done with an eye to meeting your needs.

I was so blown away by this beautiful property. The house is located in the middle of tall redwood trees and has a very expensive feel. There are several decks in the big driveway and lots of space to go hiking and walking and let your dogs run around the house itself is lovelyand cozy. Very clean nicely decorated. I would go back again and again.

Nice place. Great location, just 2 blocks from beach and close to restaurants. We used the bicycles and boogie boards. Backyard was nice to hangout in, used the Firepit and spa everyday. Kitchen was nice but not quite as stocked as some other places we’ve stayed. Overall was nice and we would rent again.

Our stay was wonderful with 8 adults and 4 kids. The house had enough space for us, was clean, but also very cozy. We loved having lunch and dinner on the back porch. The house is on a very quiet street, but is walkable to the beach. It's a great spot between Capitola and Santa Cruz, so lots of access to restaurants and things to do. Beautiful home!

We were impressed by how clean the house was. It was a great location to walk to some restaurants and the coast. We parked one van street side and one van in the driveway as it was really tight to get out of the car on one area of the drive. There were chairs, bikes, and beach towels available. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub or fire pit. Wish we had more time there. We had one issue but Veronica was quick to reply and resolve it. We would stay again!

We spent a few days at Dona’s beach house to celebrate my big birthday and our wedding anniversary. The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and well-stocked and organized with all the items needed to make any visitor feel right at home. We loved the quick and easy walk to the harbor, beach, park and local restaurants. Dona even provided a wagon making it easy to walk down to the beach with all of our beach items. The house also had a fenced in yard and front porch area with plenty of seating making it safe and comfortable to sit outside with our dogs to play board games and just enjoy the sounds, smells and sights of the coast. Dona made sure we had all the needed information well in advance and replied to messages quickly. We would definitely love to stay here again the next time we vacation in Santa Cruz. Thank you Dona!!

Great location near the beach, beautiful view of the lagoon. Big comfy beds.

Love the location and the home. The beds were soooo comfortable. Steve gave clear directions as the home can be hard to find. Steve was always quick to get back to me with great places to see and eat. If you can afford it got to Shadowbrook restaurant. It’s an experience and worth the cost. The neighbor across the and next door were very nice.
