“VERY close to the Townsend entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Allowed us to avoid Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge altogether. We could watch the river from the cabin deck, which had a roof and lights. There were a lot of people riding tubes on the river when we arrived Saturday afternoon, but there were almost none in the evening, and not as many during the week. The cabin is small, but well laid out with all kitchen appliances, pots and pans, dishes. The bedroom is very small and we barely had room to walk around the bed. Our hostess was great. She responded to texts promptly. She lives next door and has a lovely garden, chickens, and a friendly dog. There were some ants in the bathroom (fortunately none in the kitchen) but she sprayed for them as soon as we notified her. The bathroom is large with a walk-in shower. Townsend is small but has an interesting heritage museum, a grocery store, and a range of restaurants. We would happily stay here again!”

“If you’re on the fence about making a reservation at the Strawberry Patch Inn, do not hesitate. The location is great, the setting is fantastic, our room was comfy and service was excellent. The property is conveniently located off Hwy 321 and is nestled among trees just feet from the river. The second we ascended the steps to the long porch that runs along the back of the building, we forgot our proximity to Hwy 321 because the rushing river sights and sounds eliminated all other distractions. How delightful! The porch is dotted with rocking chairs, and dining sets where you can relax or enjoy a meal. We ate all our meals on the porch listening to birds and to the river in the cool of the mornings and evenings. Our room was clean, spacious and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. A grocery store, convenience store, gas stations and several restaurants are within a short drive from the property. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is easily accessible from the Strawberry Patch Inn which was a very welcome retreat after a long day of hiking. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to the area.”
