This unique accommodation is as fun and funky as the photos, so you'll enjoy exploring it, as we did! The kitchen (well stocked) is really the only updated space, and the rest of the house is on the shopworn side, but the decor definitely makes up for it, and there's so much room to spread out. The beds are in fine shape, which is something that matters a lot to us. You may want to know that the second bathroom with the shower is not en suite, which was a little bit of a surprise. It's at the opposite end of the house (past the kitchen) from the three main-floor bedrooms. But the location actually made it easier for our party -- two couples -- to share the shower since the other bath has only a tub. The location can't be beat. It's such a beautiful and walkable neighborhood! I also should add that both the property manager and owner are extremely responsive. We discovered the home's hairdryer had gone missing, and we were most grateful that they acted quickly to replace it.

We had a great stay for a quick family get together for my nephew’s graduation. Great place to just relax hang out watch tv on the projector. And a very good bar and grill next door

This was our first visit to Kansas, and Kitty’s house in Topeka was the perfect location for our trip to Kansas State University for the Big 12 track and field Conference. We felt extremely welcomed by Kitty and the house was perfectly equiped and very comfortable for a home from home stay. We explored quite a bit of the local area including the beautiful Lake Shawnee and spent a lot of time in nearby Lawrence, which had lots of nice restaurants. Also enjoyed great kitchen amenities - cooker, fridge freezer, ice machine and we enjoyed cooking and relaxing in the house and garden. We had a really lovely time and would recommend Kitty’s house for any length of stay. Our flight back to the UK was late evening and Kitty kindly offered us some extra time to have lunch before we left. Thank you 👍

Such a wonderful Memorial weekend stay. the Canyon Stop was an amazing, ultra convenient place to stay. 6 blocks to Massachuttes street where there are several stores and resteraunts. I didn't find the furniture to be overly comfy but as being a disabled vet I don't find alot of furniture to be comfy. Don't bother having dinner at LBC across the street just happy hour beer and appetizers but do have dinner at Bon Bon! as my family and I had dinner there and everything was amazing, best elevated cuisine I've had in over 10 years really. don't give it another thought and just book this place you wont be dissapointed.

Brian's place was a clean and simple place to stay. It is a refurbished basement so it was a little damp but overall it met expectations.

My friends and I loved staying here. We had stayed for a week to celebrate a birthday and the place was very cozy and clean. The furnishings were great, and our hosts were very receptive and friendly. They had even gotten a bonfire started in the fire pit for us so we could enjoy their lovely patio in the back yard. The location is safe and walkable, with a restaurant plaza within walking distance full of great options. For the price, location, and all of the amenities, this place is a gem to say at, and Brian and Kari were gracious hosts who made sure we stayed comfortable for the entire stay. Would highly recommend!

Ryan & Michelle host a very cozy spot with very beautiful surroundings & scenery. Their hardwork shows in both landscaping & cleanliness throughout the property and house. It was a pleasure to meet them both, very nice people! Would absolutely stay here again. 10/10.

Place has a very comforting mid century feel complete with old school appliances and was a very relaxing space to stay in.

The place is small but exactly what we needed for graduation weekend. Best value in town for KU events.

This was just what we needed for our trip. we were far enough out from KC to not feel hurried, but close enough to get to downtown or the power and light district for entertainment choices. great hosts!

Host was super responsive, the location was very walkable (would be especially good for football games and graduation), and the price was affordable.

We visited Lawrence for the Big 12 Track & Field Championship and appreciated the comfort of this townhouse. It is close to the trendy restaurants and shops on Massachusetts Street but in a quiet location adjacent to a nice walking trail.

What a great place to stay! Within walking distance of all my Lawrence faves. The garage door-style window was amazing to have open in the evening and the weather was perfect for it. The mattress on the bed was really comfortable and the loft itself was fantastic. Can't wait to stay here again!

It was a good location close to my sister's place and within 25 minutes of Children's Mercy on Broadway. It was a nice place for the 4 of us. My bed in the basement was very comfy.

Victoria's place was great! We were here to stay for a wedding near by and it was perfect. Victoria was very helpful and responsive and the place was clean and beautiful.

Aaron's place was great for a long weekend in Lawrence! The space was very nice and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. We'll definitely be back!
