Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Tōkai Region

It was a great location, 5 minutes by car to Harenire Terrace. I stayed for a week, and it was very clean and all the dishes were available, and I had a very pleasant time in a nice cottage. I would like to stay here again when I go to Karuizawa.

The host was also kind, and the children were very happy with the thoughtfulness of bringing the dog. I really liked the house and the location, and I would definitely like to use it again next time. We stayed at Toshie’s designer house for 4 nights. The architecturally fantastic home is in a quiet neighbourhood a short busride from Gakuenmae station, with quick train access to Nara, Kyoto and Osaka. Toshie picked us up from the station, which was appreciated as it might have been tricky to find the house ourselves. She gave us instructions for local transport and amenities within walking distance. Toshie is an exceptional host who is genuinely interested in her guests making sure they have an enjoyable stay. During our visit we needed medical attention and Toshie was extremely helpful with taking us to the hospital and pharmacy. We felt very safe having her as a translator. One night we were able to join Toshie and her husband for dinner and also met their daughter who has a ceramics studio in the house. Thank you Toshie for your hospitality, kindness and generosity. We had an absolutely wonderful time. I highly recommend this house for a unique base to explore the Nara area.

I stayed with my pet.Your prompt responses have always been a great help.We enjoyed the garden as a large dog run and made wonderful memories with the family. I went to the Gotemba Outlet, canoed with my pet at Lake Yamanaka, and saw wild deer, and I enjoyed my stay nearby.It is recommended.

This is an excellent Airbnb, have confidence booking. We were warmly greeted by Villa Nagare's friendly owner and were given a detailed tour with welcome fruits and drink. We quickly felt at home in this beautifully renovated home. It is well equipped and included a high chair and children's cutlery for our child. We spent many hours relaxing on the terrace and watching the sublime alpine view. We initially booked 3 nights but extended an extra 2 because we were highly impressed with the accommodations and area! We were sad to leave but will return!!!

This place was amazing to stay provided with a lot of amenities and comfortable for resting at night! The host was well-prepared and well-described! Recommended for a group vacation!

Yamano was a great host. Everything was as described and he was very helpful and responsive before and during our trip. Our family of 5 adults felt very comfortable in this property. There was a bus stop nearby as well as a few different train stations within walking distance. There was a convenience store nearby to get supplies. The location was nearby Arashiyama attractions, but in a quiet neighborhood area that felt more like home. If we ever end up headed their way again we would definitely stay with Yamano. The car service that Yamano set us up with was also very nice and worked well for getting to and from Kyoto Station as well as an 8hr tour.

The place is located on the hill with the amazing mountains and ocean view and prestine facilities just as shown in the photos. You can also ask Yukitoshi san for the private boat fishing. It was very relaxing and fun at the same time! You can bring the fish you've caught to their restaurant and they will cook them for you. That was quite a remarkable experience! I will definitely come back here again! The host is very responsive and kind as well. Strongly recommend to stay this place of you are looking for something slightly rural and Onsen(Hot spring) experiences!

We had a very pleasant time! The 100% hot spring and sauna were the best, and I entered and healed many times during my stay.I think it's unforgettable for hot springs and sauna lovers. The host was also very polite, and I felt safe communicating quickly in advance.They explained a lot of things to me in the local area, and I had a worry-free stay. Also, I appreciated being told about local recommended spots and rice restaurants.At the izakaya I was introduced to, the local fish sashimi was very delicious, and all the other dishes were missing! I relaxed in the hot spring and eat delicious food... it was a very satisfying stay.We'd love to go again. Thank you so much!

If you only prepare ingredients, there are seasonings and sauces. There were few ingredients at the nearby supermarket, so I thought it would be good to prepare it in advance. All of the meat from the butcher you mentioned was delicious.

The sauna, water bath, and natural hot spring were all pleasant to use!The description of the facility was also easy to understand, and we had a comfortable stay.

Absolutely loved our stay at Olga’s place in Oceanic Villa Minami! The location is stunning, and easy access to the beach. Olga was an exceptional host, providing thoughtful touches and local recommendations that enhanced my experience. The villa itself was beautifully decorated, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the ultimate coastal getaway!

It’s a nice and super convenient house in hakone, the house is right next door to one of the best restaurants in Hakone for bbq. Both indoor and outdoor hot spring is super nice. Room is cozy. And the best feature was the kitchen’s wear!! The stove is really nicely done and all the equipment is very nice. The bathroom also equipped with Dyson hair dyers and all the dental and vanity sets. It shows the house owner really cares about us to provide a luxury 5 star experience. Everything is extremely cozy with luxury touch.

I stayed with 5 men this time. First of all, the host is very kind and polite. The room was also one of the most beautiful and spacious rooms I have ever stayed in. The equipment was also up-to-date, so I had a comfortable stay. The price is also cheap and modest, making it the best accommodation. If you're coming to Toba, don't hesitate!

I stayed for two nights and three days for a trip with a friend. Hot springs were available, and the room was spacious and comfortable.

Maybe the most atypical accommodation of our trip to Japan but especially the one where we had the best view! The place is beautiful, the sunset is worth a look! And the abandoned temple near the home brings so much charm. I'm sorry I didn't stay longer. The road can scare but it's very safe.

Just very 癒された. This is a place that made me glad for hustle and bustle, because how else otherwise could I know to better appreciate the calm I found here? Open-air woodfire onsen. Ikebana and art with explanatory labels in every room. Well-organised library of great reads. A washer-dryer that really does minimise creases (Sharp pls bring this model into SG pronto). An entire fridge section dedicated to chilled glasses?? Come on. Ryunohara provided every modern comfort with more thought and love than my ex-husband could muster. Please do yourself a favour and order meals because Dana is an incredible cook. In chillier weather they'd have a small heater warming your back as you eat; it's good for humanity that such genius was not put to evil. Neither 1000 characters nor my 2-night stay are enough. Although building cairns and generally zoning out at the nearby riverside was plenty enough for me, I will be back - either for a retreat, or with a car so I can explore the wider area.

This traditional home was an extremely amazing Experience towards the end of our trip, we all hope to come back here at one stage, the heating provided was well sufficient for the cold temperatures and there was an amazing river to plunge into in the am, very excited to stay here again and will come for longer than 1 night

We have stayed in AirBnBs around the world and this, for my family of four, was one of the most special and memorable experiences that we have had. Fumi-san and her partner (not to mention their cats) are incredibly welcoming, kind, and helpful. My children love the movie My Neighbor Totoro and staying in this old Japanese house was like living in a little slice of the movie. We loved exploring the area too, with many recommendations from Fumi. We hiked up the hill to the temple behind the house one morning, set in a beautiful wooded area. We visited the shrine down the road and ate ice cream from the community center. We ate sushi at a small restaurant run by a very friendly old couple in town. We went to the local firefly festival and wached the hula dancers. Fumi even helped set up visits to local tea farmers. We visited Kurusaki-en for some excellent green tea and Uno-chaen san for oolong tea. He and his wife and their children welcomed us we enjoyed and purchased excellent tea!
