Chris went out of his way to make me feel welcome. If you are an English speaker, it may be that he can answer cultural and other questions about Japan. Chris was kind enough to drop me off at a swordsmith’s workshop nearby where I spent the day.

Great location and in walking distance to Happo village. Shuttle bus to nearby slopes and staff very friendly and helpful.

Chieri en haar moeder en hun schattige hond zijn hele lieve hosts die er alles aan doen om je verblijf een echte authentieke Japanse ervaring te laten zijn. Hun huis is prachtig ingericht, ruim en voelt heel fijn en gastvrij. Het café en de biertuin van Chieri zijn ook zeker de moeite waard om te bezoeken. Het eten en drinken en het gratis Japanse ontbijt waren heerlijk. En als je nog authentieke Japanse souvenirs zoekt zijn die hier ook te vinden. Al met al een perfecte plek om even tot rust te komen na het bezoeken van de drukke steden als Kyoto en Osaka.

I had an amazing stay. The host truly cares about making your stay as good as possible. I cannot recommend highly enough. The surrounding area makes for some great exploration and hiking, which id always finish off by relaxing at the onsen (there were both indoor and outdoor). I hope to be back one day!

John is one of the best host I’ve ever met at Airbnb. He is very friendly, outgoing and enthusiastic. He and his wife are very nice. I also love his dogs. They are very cute.

Yuu-san welcomed me for the New Years holidays even though I made a reservation in the last moment. He and his family are very kind and welcoming. I enjoyed exploring the traditional New Year's meals and the musical selection every morning :) This artistic home is in a peaceful countryside area and great if you need to disconnect and find your creativity. Ce Airbnb est une vraie perle rare. Perdu dans la montagne et très paisible hors saison. Justin, Erica et les employés sont très réactifs et super gentils ! Ils proposent des navettes gratuitement pour aller en ville, au supermarché, au Hot Spring... Ils mettent également des vélos à disposition. Etant donné que le chalet est isolé dans la station, ils ont tout mis en place pour que les activités autour soient accessibles pour les voyageurs. Ils nous ont recommandé de nombreuses randonnées et des lieux à visiter absolument. Les espaces communs permettent de rencontrer du monde et de discuter. Merci pour tout !

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the unit, which was perfect for our family. The place was clean, safe, and well-equipped, with a fantastic washer/dryer and a delightful daily breakfast as a bonus. Its proximity to train stations made it incredibly convenient, and the address was easy for Uber and shuttle drivers to locate. We’d love to stay again on our next trip to Tokyo. This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Had a wonderful stay in this traditional Japanese room. The host was very friendly and accomodating. He provided us delicious breakfast every morning and gave us good tour spot recommendations. We felt comfortable and welcomed here. Would definitely come again on our next Kyoto trip.

The hosts here are amazing! They helped inform me about how to get around, and to the places I wanted to go to, as well as give me recommendations. They went above and beyond, and we're very helpful and supportive. They are very kind people, and I am very thankful for them. This was my first trip, so I learnt a lot. The area is a very nice area as well. I recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay! The cozy hospitality made us feel right at home. Every morning started with a delicious homemade breakfast that was clearly made with care. Our hosts were incredibly kind to our children—offering them snacks, ice cream, and even fireworks, which made their stay extra special. Truly a memorable and heartwarming experience. Great value and location, can’t beat it.

We had an amazing experience at Chiyako-san's home. The traditional Japanese-style room was spacious for the two of us, and she ensured that we were comfortable and warm despite the drizzling rain outside. We explored the area and enjoyed the onsen nearby. We loved the meals we had here! For dinner (which we opted in for at an extra charge), Chiyako-san prepared a spread of fresh vegetables and meat for shabu-shabu, which was delicious. The complimentary breakfast was really appetising as well! Chiyako-san and her family are really friendly and we had a lovely time chatting with them after breakfast. Suitable for anyone looking for a short respite in the countryside of Japan!

Staying at Aibiya was by far the best part of our month long trip to Japan. Yoshi and Seongmi are truly exceptional people, their hotel is wonderful and they made our trip memorable. We are fortunate we got to stay here and will definitely return!

Words cannot express how magical this place is. Chiyako is the kindest and most caring host. The food is outstanding and the whole experience was so much more than we dreamed about. Could not recommend more highly x
