Glenview Cottage - An Idillic All Year Retreat

VinceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Glenview was the perfect place for a relaxing week in Lewis. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. The garden was perfect for our small dog to run free as it is completely enclosed. The views were amazing. There were only two of us, but it would be completely fine for two couples or a family. We would definitely stay again when back on Lewis. The location is very good for exploring the whole island and beyond.

Panoramic views-200m to white beach

RosalindeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay was restful and relaxing. Beautiful outlook and stunning scenery, ideal for watching the sunrise. Lovely walks from the house in several directions. Good local beaches within easy walking distance or short drive. The community shop is a great asset in the area as is the local cafe. Comfortable, spacious house with great facilities and good information regarding the surrounding area. Thoroughly enjoyed staying here. We also had amazing weather which was an added bonus.

Taigh Dholol

LindaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Taigh Dholol is a well kept cottage in a lovely rural area with great views from the windows that was near several nice walking beaches, Dun Carloway broch and the Callanish Standing Stones, and, depending on the tides, we were able to walk out the door to some nice sand walking within ten minutes. We slept well (the electric blanket to warm the sheets before getting into bed was much appreciated on chilly nights), were able to cook our favorite holiday meals from a lamb hot pot to tuna melt, breakfast burritos and eggy toast. The furniture was comfortable, the TV bright and large, and there was plenty of hot water. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in this cozy cottage.

Kelp Cottage

ElisabethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
A beautiful house in a stunning area. The house had everything we needed and it was all of great quality. Sandra and Kevin were so friendly and helpful, making us feel really welcome. The beach is just a short walk away, with many more gorgeous beaches in the area. We saw Golden Eagles, White-tailed Eagles, Otters and heard and saw Corncrakes. We will be back. 😀

Panoramic Sea Views - hot tub

LoganRating, 5 starstoday
We loved staying at the Larch Shed! Hallin is a beautiful slice of Skye with much to do and is a little off the beaten path from the main tourist areas like Portree. Jane was very hospitable and friendly, and we enjoyed our conversations with her. The Shed itself was exactly as described and very peaceful with an absolutely stunning view of the bay to start and end your day with. Everything was well appointed and we enjoyed the rustic decor. Highly recommend the YurtTea down the road for small breakfast and coffee, as well as nearby Stein Inn for amazing dinner. We also enjoyed Old School Restaurant in Dunvegan for dinner. Would recommend stopping at the co op on Forest rd in Portree for cooking provisions on your way up. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to our return!
