Guests have complete privacy and run of the house, including a private garden. We respect our guest's privacy, and are on call for any advice or assistance that you may need during your visit. The cottage is a short picturesque drive from the coastal gems of Southwold and Aldeburgh. Harleston and Bungay are quintessential English towns with charming independent stores, delis, family butchers, bistro cafes, pubs, restaurants, and tea shops. It's the countryside, most people drive. Diss is the mainline station between London and Norwich and is just 15 minutes by car. Cycling is very popular and the cottage is on a regular time trial route. Buses are very reliable and the village is well serviced making it easy to hop between Suffolk and Norfolk villages. There is fabulous walking from the cottage. Located in the Waveney Valley paths such as Angles Way which follows the Waveney river valley are right on your doorstep.

It is RURAL, the pubs have varied opening hours, we get country insects. WiFi 🛜 access & phone signal varies. TV free-view not Smart, 2 vehicles parking. No shop local. Long life milk in case you forget supplies. The nearest shop or takeaway is 5 miles. Tesco Waitrose deliver. I do my best to point all of this out.

Dunwich is a beautiful seaside village with an interesting history. Beach was good (by North Sea standards but be sure to either have feet like old boots or preferably a pair of swimming shoes. The house is perfect for a family get as ours was with grandparents, maiden aunts, youngish couple and a toddler. Everything you could need and more.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage! It was set up really well for us with a great twin room for our daughters, lots of games in the lounge and the kitchen area onto the big garden was great for the dog. The cottage is positioned really well, close to Snape and Aldeburgh, the farm shop is a 4 min drive and had everything we needed. We did lots of lovely walks including to the local village pub. We were really lucky with the weather and the garden having fields on 2 sides gave us beautiful views morning and night. The chocolates were also a highlight!

Henry's flat on Seckford is truly special—a historic gem with spacious rooms, high ceilings, wooden floors, and abundant natural light that creates a wonderfully airy atmosphere. Its central location is perfect: just minutes from pubs, shops, and the vibrant heart of Woodbridge, yet it remains tranquil, offering restful views over the River Deben. Henry himself was a warm and responsive host, always quick to reply and ensuring everything was smooth and enjoyable. Lovely hut in a lovely spot. Perfect for a weekend away. The hut was exactly as described and there were a few extra nice touches the hosts provided. Use of a pair of bicycles was great and we enjoyed exploring the area. We would greatly recommend this place and we hope to return at some point in the future.
