House holiday rentals in Thornham

We stayed at 6 Blyth View for one week as a family and we throughly recommend it to anyone looking for a lovely getaway in a peaceful location. The cottage is part of a lovely estate in a very peaceful and thoughtfully designed setting with amazing grounds overlooking fields to the East so you can stunning sunset views. It’s a short drive from wonderful Southwold and several neighbouring villages with great pubs offering decent food options as well as lovely drives to explore the surrounding areas. The cottage is perfectly equipped with all facilities working perfectly, a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms offering plenty of storage space plus a perfect living room space and indoor and outdoor dining. Parking is situated close to the property. In addition, the (bookable timeslots) gym, swimming pool and games room were much fun and we very much enjoyed. Highly recommend this property and thank you to the attentive host for great support and communication when needed 🙏🏼

We had a wonderful stay at Fring Estate - the Market Square House, garden, pool and surrounding walks are beautiful. We were welcomed with the most delicious homemade brownies and Victoria and the team could not have been more accommodating - it was the perfect place to catch up with friends who live all over the UK - the bbq was on all weekend because we finally had some sun! We wouldn’t change a thing and can’t wait to bring the children and dog back next year. Thank you, this really is a hidden gem and we’re so pleased we’ve discovered it!

I didn’t stay there myself, I booked the place for my co-workers coming over from London , but they said the place was very nice!

Jean is a great host- very welcoming, clear instructions and interesting local recommendations. Waterside Retreat is in a smashing location, right on the small lake, close to the country club. The lodge is spacious, clean and well stocked with everything you might need for your holidays and more. We also used the gym- it was well equipped, had a delicious Sunday roast at the country club and walked the dog along the nature trail and to Tydd St Giles- surroundings are very peaceful and beautiful. Uber-eats delivered to our lodge, no problem. Also, it was an easy 1 hour drive to Cambridge to soak up some culture. Overall a great Easter break, in a fabulous lodge.

This is a gorgeous cottage set in the middle of countryside (but easy to get out & about in the car). The kitchen is huge and with everything you need, with several options for outdoor dining to make the most of the lovely garden. Beds are comfy with decent sized rooms, but the standout attraction is of course the pool…heated so that we (with two young kids) could enjoy it for several hours each day of our stay without anyone getting bored or chilly. Lorna & Dean v friendly & helpful hosts. Highly recommend; only caveat - while we had a great weekend here with our toddler in tow, we were outdoors for most of the time; the cottage is decorated beautifully and has flagstone flooring throughout the downstairs which are not always compatible / relaxing with an energetic 2 year old.

What can I say about The Firs? The word luxury doesn't do it justice, as soon as we walked through the door we were in ore of the building and it's surroundings. The amenities were fantastic, our personal favourites being the balcony with sun lounges, hot tub and pool table! The house is also decorated with a stylish, luxurious The decor. The kitchen is a stand out feature The owners were reliable, had brilliant communication and even gave us a recommendation to a beautiful restaurant called Quayside Hotel! They couldn't do enough. The on site groundsman was also super friendly and even borrows us his tandem bike! We will be back next year!

Very friendly and helpful host. We stayed in the accessible cottage and it is very well laid out for a wheelchair user. We will be returning very soon.

There is nothing at all to fault here and everything to praise, from the location (superb views, lovely coastal walks or a quick amble into town), light airy and spacious accommodation (and so private - despite there being other flats in the building we never heard anyone) to the friendliness and helpfulness of Sarah and her family. A genuine treat!

Gaenor’s place was superb. Very clean, modern and comfortable. In a quiet part of Wells but only a 5/10 minute walk to the Quay and other amenities. Gaenor was excellent with communications and as it’s was going be a very hot day on one particular day, kindly contacted us to make sure we were comfortable and offered to bring a fan if we needed. Very thoughtful indeed. Loved The Globe for food and drink and loved Wells. Staying at the Boathouse was perfect for us. Throughly recommended.

A beautiful home in a beautiful location! A lovely modern, well equipped and spacious house, very clean with everything you need. The garden and outdoor seating area is great too if you have the weather. Perfect position, walkable to a nice pebble beach and good places to eat and drink. Or plenty to see and do just a short drive away. Would happily stay again!!

Myself, dad and Bella his dog, had a lovely 3 night stay in this seaside bungalow. Was clean, tastefully decorated and very cosy. We love Winthorpe, and only a few minutes walk away. Jake left a lovely welcome card and basket with milk, water and cookies for us and dog treats for the dog!! Such a lovely touch!! Even had essentials, such as tea/ coffee, dishwasher/ washer tabs etc!! We all thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to go back soon xx Thank you x

The house is very conveniently located for Burnham Market town pubs & restaurants being only 2 minutes walk. Despite being close to town, we found it to be a peaceful location with a private garden. Highly recommend it!

Kirsty's home - and it truly is a home - is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. In fact, more so. There are stylish and tasteful touches in every room and plenty of interesting books, which is always a draw for us. It is also very comfortable. The beds are sumptuous, the bathrooms spotless, the shower efficient, the kitchen range easy to use, the wifi reliable and good enough for remote working on Zoom. The garden is also lovely and we would have used it a lot if the weather had been kinder to us. Communication with Kirsty was friendly and easy and the basket of gifts left for us much appreciated. We have stayed in many airbnb properties, in the UK and abroad, and this was definitely the best.

We stayed for five nights at Peta's place with our two year old. The house is so beautiful and the surroundings so calm and peaceful. Peta recommended a few walks out of the door for little legs but you do need to go a little further afield for longer walks which we didn't mind at all. Everything was spotless on arrival and we had a lovely cake a local apple juice waiting for us on arrival. Peta was always responsive and gave us great ideas on things to do. The bed is SO comfy and we all slept very well during our stay. We weren't blessed with the best weather but when we could, sitting in the two gardens was perfect. We would highly recommend a stay here!

This is a gorgeous AirBnB. Very luxurious and spotlessly clean. All the bed linen is extremely hygienic, no marks and fluffy towels. The kitchen is fabulously equipped, lovely pans and crockery and every type of glass you need. Condiments and basics included. The loos are well equipped with loo paper and soap. The utility room is perfect, and an extra downstairs loo. The conservatory is idyllic for an afternoon snooze with a book! ..looking over a peaceful garden. The beds are super comfy, we had a perfect nights sleep, every night. The open plan downstairs is so lovely to eat and relax in. And everything is such high quality. We had the best stay, and can highly recommend this. We shall be back. Simon is super fast at communicating. Thank you a lovely stay!

We loved Simon's house. Positioned in a lovely courtyard, set back from the road, all the amenities of Wells are in easy reach by foot. The house is compact but with everything you need for a couple. Lovely furnishings and nicely decorated, we felt very comfortable there. There's even a little terrace with table and chairs to sit outside, it wasn't warm enough for that on this visit but we will definitely plan to return!

We really enjoyed our stay in Thornham. The property is well located close to Thornham Deli and other places to eat. It is also a short walk from an orchard which has plenty of places to eat and shops. It is also close by to the old Thornham harbour and from there it’s about 2km walk to the beach. The property has a well stocked kitchen with everything we needed and lots of nice additional touches such as board games. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great! There was also a lovely welcome pack for our dog which was a nice additional touch.

Elaine was wonderful! The place was exactly as seen in photos. Very welcoming and brochures left for things to do and see in the area. When we come back for another vacation, I will be booking here again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic time at Maylie cottage! It was beautiful inside, spotlessly clean & well equipped. We had some great days out at Hunstanton, Wells & Brancaster -everywhere is so doggy friendly!! We also had a delicious meal at the Crown Inn. We tried to book a meal on Thursday, but they had their quiz night & were fully booked - so book ahead to avoid disappointment!! It would be useful to have a clothes airer- I did some washing, but had nowhere to hang it! Just in minor detail in what was a super, relaxing break!! Thank you - wonderful hosts..!!

What an amazingly idyllic little spot this is. Some places just have a way of healing the soul and this is one of them. Beautiful little hideaway retreat in the middle of English rolling landscape. The house is just beautifully decorated as well, with plenty of space. We went with a baby and 4 year old and it was perfect. There were even toys to play with :) walkable to tasty pubs and close to all the wonderful stuff North Norfolk has to offer. Jessica was also an excellent host from start to finish. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a bit of peace from the world
