The Bothy at Ivy Cottage

MelanieRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Bothy was very cosy with a beautiful view. The most interesting part of Hadrian's wall with stunning walks and visits of ancient Roman sites as well as restaurants and Haltwhistle with shops, cafês, pubs were easy to reach by car. Fearga welcomed us warmheartily. She was very helpful and gave advice when needed. There was a large variety of breakfast options and Fearga equipped us generously. We would come again!

Hadrian’s Wall Hut, Twice Brewed

ChloeRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Sarah and Andy could not have been better hosts. From the moment we pulled up, Andy was there to greet us, giving us a comprehensive rundown of all the amenities and ensuring we felt right at home. We had the unique privilege of being the very first guests to experience their brand new sauna, and Sarah & Andy couldn't have been more accommodating in getting it ready for us. The sauna was fantastic, with a lovely view and a really relaxing feel. Having stayed in several shepherd's huts before, I can confidently say that Hadrian's Huts stands out as a firm favourite. The interior is a testament to thoughtful design, creating a tranquil and well appointed space that immediately puts you at ease. Coupled with the beautiful expansive views, it provided the peaceful break we were so desperately seeking. It's clear that every detail has been considered to offer guests a truly serene and memorable escape in the Northumberland Countryside. We cant wait to come back!

Shaftoe Cottage, on the banks of the River Tyne

It was lovely to sit by the river and watch the sunset. All amenities were within walking distance. Public transport links excellent so plenty of choice of what to do. We walked, cycled and travelled by bus and train.

Shepherd's Hut at Bridge House

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Arrived by bike with a friend rather hot having just climbed a short but sharp hill to get there. We were immediately directed to a secure location for the bikes - a plus point in our world. To say it was a hot day was an understatement and I have to confess to being concerned about whether the Shepherds Hut would be a little hot inside. Quickly opened the doors and windows and soon found the atmosphere perfect. Big thanks for the breakfast which is laid it with a variety of food for all tastes. Especially loved the home made preserves and the variety on offer including cafatiere which for me is the only way to start the day.

Cannot recommend this place enough, we didn’t want to leave. The hosts are great and could not do enough for you communication was great. Super dog friendly and safe, although I think our dog is ready for a break after all his adventures. Would love to come back in the future!
