Very cool, very different place. So many Airbnbs are cookie cutter houses with very little character. This place is so unique and cool. Very comfortable. Very easy, great parking, great rooms and bathrooms. Would stay again!!

Great place with a stunning view. Very peaceful and lots to do. I rented cabin for end of year 2024-25 with my family and had a great time! We walked to the nearby creek & used the firepit, swings & did a lil exploring in the area. Wei was a great host, very attentive & communicative. I highly recommend this place.

We travel to WV often to ride sxs’s and this is the nicest, cleanest place we have stayed in yet. We will be staying there again.

We had a great time and this house was perfect for our family and friends in town for a wedding. This house is large and was perfect for our 5 couples and kids. The house was clean, had everything we needed, and we had absolutely no issues at all. We did not have to contact the host, but he did message a lot before the visit to be sure we knew how to contact him if we did run into a problem. The house is beautiful, overlooks a beautiful lake and was a very serene and calming visit. We would highly recommend this airnbnb, it was a great experience and all of our guests loved the house. !!! Thank you Ethan !!!!!

We wanted a relaxing weekend getaway to enjoy some family time and R&R. The remoteness of the cabin was perfect for that. Although we recommend arriving in the daytime, it was dark when we got there and that single lane road going in was a tad scary. Lol The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The amenities were spot on. There was plenty of room to accommodate our crew (2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog). The hot tub was great and we enjoyed sitting around the table playing games and sharing laughs. Definitely a nice relaxing weekend spent making memories!

We rented this house to go to the Metallica concert at VaTech with our two Hokies and other family members. The house was very spacious, clean, and private! And sitting on the back porch with the view of Wolf Creek.. and watching our son fly fishing in it. It was very peaceful and relaxing! Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic house with plenty of space. Well provision kitchen. Gorgeous views. Close to Galax. Very conducive to outdoor living and generally good for the soul.

We stayed hear for my brother’s PhD graduation from Virginia tech and loved it! It was 40 minute drive from Blacksburg but would do it over again bc the lake house was so peaceful and spacious! Highly recommend this place especially if you had time to use the lake!

Charming house that truly felt like staying at Grandmom’s in the country. Large enough for a bigger family, 2 small families or a small group of friends. Lots of room to spread out. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of what would be needed for cooking meals. The surrounding area was beautiful. Perfect peaceful scenery for sitting on that front porch swing listening to the birds and watching calves chasing one another on the hillside. Freshly baked brownies were a thoughtful treat waiting for us when we arrived. Would definitely stay again.

We just had our 4 day trip and stayed at Casey’s, The Big House at the Landing Strip. It was so spacious for our group of 9, clean, homey and the front porch was the ABSOLUTE best place to hang out! Being on the old air strip was cool. Very close to some really good outlaw trails (beer can alley, flag rock, the drinking tree, Ziggy’s and outlaw bar & grill) were some of the places we visited… with access to the Hatfield trails. Recommend this place for sure!!

We planned a visit here for 10 for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect beautiful setting to relax and play! We loved hiking up the hill through the Christmas trees and walking the beautiful trail by the large creek. Many stones were skipped! The fire pit was a nice spot to gather and roast marshmallows. Our ages range was from 8- 73, and there was truly something for everyone. The kitchen was well-stocked for cooking, and we grilled as well. Had a wonderful time making memories together.

Was a great place to stay, hosts were very responsive when the door code wouldn’t work. Enjoyed the time spent at the house when we weren’t on the trails. Overall a great place to be.

We loved this house!!! We had a wedding for the weekend but had more fun hanging in this super cute cabin/house!. So much space and a great layout. Love love the porch ❤️

We rented this house for our family to stay for my daughter’s graduation. We were all able to stay together and enjoy one another’s company. So much better than a hotel! The pool was not open for the season yet but it wasn’t really warm enough anyways. Plenty of bedrooms and beds. Linens were fresh and also plentiful. We loved seeing all the deer. The only negative was driving the narrow roads in the dark. They made me nervous because I was unfamiliar with the area and it was very dark with a high likelihood of deer. Of course definitely not the fault of the host.

Had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. Ample space for all the family to enjoy their own space. Three floors to enjoy!

This place is great for a large group it has everything we you could possibly need and a few extras! Definitely worth the price! close to some outlaw trails and spearhead. Andrew quickly responded every time I would message super friendly! Definitely booking again next time we’re back !

Great place to stay. Charles is a great host. Plenty of room for multiple trucks and trailers. Power washer on site. Its only a short distance from the trails, gas, stores and restaurants. The house had everything we needed. The pool was wonderful after a long hot day of trail riding. The covered porch was great to watch the rain. We will definitely stay here again

The home is stunning, with a perfect balance of cozy comfort and elegant design filled with every thing you could ever need. The views make every moment feel serene (checkout the sunrise views from any of the balconies). The home feels wonderfully secluded, yet is just minutes away from a charming town filled with shopping, restaurants, and mini-day trips to hiking trails, and beautiful parks—offering the perfect balance of a peaceful retreat and easy access to local adventures. This was our second visit & won't be our last.

Host was easy to work with and responsive. If you are looking for a place to stay to ride the HMT, this is it. Well set up house, wash station, plenty of parking for trailers, easy access to almost all of the trail systems and access to the Outlaw trails. And a pool to relax in after a day riding! This will be our go to place for HMT trips!

I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the Matewan area. Paula was a fantastic host and was available at all times to answer any questions we had. Great location for a riding trip, or just to hang out with family and friends. Very private location hidden off the main road.
