Mountain Escape - Coniston Village Centre

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We stayed at the house for a wedding and the photos really do not do it justice. Everything was well set out and beautifully done. It is right in the heart of town, we ate and drank in a few places recommended by the hosts. I would absolutely come back.

Room 1 - The Paper House, Coniston

LauraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Judith’s place was extremely clean, the bed was really comfortable and an amazing location in the centre of Coniston. We managed to get free parking all weekend right outside as the parking restrictions only run between good Friday and 31st October. So that was a bonus.

Lovely Dog Friendly Cottage

CharlotteRating, 5 stars10 months ago
It was perfect for our first family adventure to the Lake District with our first dog. The house had everything we needed. There were amazing walks straight from the door. Coniston water and lake Windermere were only a short drive away. The Co-op in Hawkshead was very convenient and had long opening hours. There were a couple of pubs and restaurants to choose to eat at, as well as the fish and chip shop or mobile curry take away van. Dogs were welcome everywhere!!

Old School House, Lake District, Hawkshead

BobRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great stay at The Old Schoolhouse. This was a family holiday with three generations of our lovely family. Emma's home was perfect, especially the five on Suite bathrooms (there were 10 in party and a dog). The highlight for our evening entertainment was the pool table which brought out our competitive element. The bbq also gave us another alternative for our evening meal, along with two village restaurants we visited and the fish and chip shop. All in all we had a fabulous time and can fully recommend The Old School House.

Lovely Lake District rural retreat

ElyseRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a memorable stay in the Lake District, in an absolute beautiful and remote place that has so much history! Kate was a fantastic host, we loved our conversations together and hanging out by the fire in the evening. The cats and the hens brought us so much joy! Kate went above and beyond to set up breakfast with many choices - even accommodating for gluten and dairy free. The road to get there is an adventure in itself, luckily there's not much traffic and it went really well for us. We would highly recommend staying there! Note that the ground in front of the house is uneven and there are a few steps to get into the house, which can be challenging for people who have difficulties going up stairs. You might be as lucky as us and have a cat waiting for you at the top though!
