Great hotel! The location is 2 minutes from the beach, shops and cafes nearby. Friendly host, hearty breakfasts. The room has everything you need. I recommend it!

The stay with Igor and Michele was just nice. It is quietly located, the pool and the many seating areas invite you to relax. We had breakfast together and the whole atmosphere was super friendly and familiar. We would definitely come back and recommend it 100%.

This is a fantastic AirBnB house with a beautiful view of ocean, and with gardens, pool, and covered terrace. You are walking distance to two beaches and some good restaurants. The people that take care of the house, Nuska and Kumara, are really wonderful. They are very attentive, bring you fresh juices throughout day, and cook delicious meals. The breakfast is included but lunch and dinner can be served at cost (which is way cheaper than restaurants and at least as delicious). We spent a week here and that wasn’t enough…it really is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Put simply, we LOVED Isana: the unusual, airy, minimalist Japanese design, stunning location fronting onto such a pristine, unspoilt beach with (for our tastes) just the right level of activity to hold some interest and friendly faces without feeling remotely hectic, and absolutely divine food, made our stay feel wonderfully indulgent and relaxing. Tekla's cooking is, as we'd been told, incredibly good - she even allowed us into the kitchen to see how she put some of her curries together. It's not the cheapest place you'll stay, but it will no doubt be one of your favourites and most memorable. The beach puts others to shame in beauty and cleanliness and, although more comfortable seating for the beach and garden would have been welcome, the bodyboards meant there was little time for lounging around anyway!

The place was very nice. Placed near to the Midigama Surf Spots and also near to Weligama town. We had a very cheap room with new quiet air condition, a very cozy bed and a clean beautiful bathroom. If you’re a surfer you can easily rent scooters from the host and all good Surf Spots are like a two minutes drive away. Without scooter the next beach is 8 minutes away, very beautiful called jungle beach. There are also some nice and cheap possibilities to eat around the place. What we also really liked was how the host and his family let us take part of their culture with showing us a lot of things like how they’re cooking, how their collecting coconuts from the palm trees and all kind of nice stuff. They even brought us homemade specialities for free every day. So friendly people. There was even a kitchen for the guests where you could cook everything you want and have tea and coffe for free. I’d really recommend this place to everybody.

We loved this place! We arrived just before sunset, and the host gave us coconuts to sip while watching the sunset as the peacocks come home to roost. In the morning, we were served a big breakfast (toast, fresh fruits, coffee) and watched the male peacock put on an amazing display on the rocks near the water. The location is just a short walk to Secret Beach, but really, just hanging out in the yard looking at the water was what made it so special. The owner is the nicest man, and is happy to share stories and tips. Despite feeling disconnected, there is also decent wifi! You can get the same style of accommodations for half the price elsewhere in Marissa, but what you are getting here is the view, the kindness, and one truly unforgettable peacock crew. Our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka!

Located on a rather quiet beach where you can both swim and surf. The staff were very friendly, the room clean, the bed very cozy and the view from the balcony really nice. At breakfast, we would have liked a little more variety.

I stayed at GoldBubble and honestly, for the price, it was great. The location is amazing—you’re just seconds away from the center and the beach. The pool was perfect, and all the amenities worked flawlessly, which is pretty rare here. The bed was comfortable, and the room was nice, although it could use a bit more storage space. The only small downside was the water drainage in the bathroom, which was a bit tricky. Other than that, everything was really perfect. There’s a big balcony shared with the neighbor, and everything functioned as expected. The place itself is great, and for the price, it’s exactly what you’d expect. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Regarding cleanliness, it wasn’t exceptional, but definitely not bad. You can tell they make an effort to keep things nice and ensure guests have a good experience. Honestly, no complaints—it was an excellent stay. I can only recommend it!

We enjoyed staying here very much! The house and the rooms are very nice, ideal for someone working remotely as the coworking space is great and the WiFi works very well!

This place is so beautiful and looks just like the photos! It’s right on the beach and the the sound of waves is just so beautiful! You wake up to the most amazing view from your bedroom. Totally reccomend it. It’s on the main road and very easy to find. You can walk to the local markets and restaurants or take a tuk tuk. Will surely come back again!

This accommodations were exceptional with staff worthy of a 5-star hotel. The beach in front of the hotel was deserted with the lagoon a 5 min walk. It's really the perfect place to rest away from it all. We were lucky enough to spend an evening by the fire on the beach with Sidath and his wife who was there and it was one of our beautiful encounters in Sri Lanka.

We felt very comfortable in Simply Peace! The hotel manager and the very attentive and always friendly staff have a lot to do with this. We were very well cared for and were lovingly looked after from check-in to check-out. All our concerns (airport shuttle, rental scooter, late check-out) were resolved at very short notice. We highly recommend this place if you want to spend a quiet break! In addition, you have many opportunities to explore along the coast by scooter.

Host Dilini and Chama were very welcoming and warmful people. we enjoyed our stay and it was pleasant stay at Jungalow Mirissa. Appreciate host for their excellent local breakfast. Would visit again and definitely recommend

We enjoyed our stay. Our host and staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. The space is very serene, and the location is perfect - not far from shops and restaurants but at the same time quiet and peaceful. We felt very welcomed and very well taken care off.

Nice Villa. Everything was fine.

We stayed in Shanil's place for 6 nights. We were greeted by Suranga and his team immediately after arriving we received a cool coconut drink and felt right at home. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Suranga and his team did an excellent job. Especially the food was fantastic, the chef did an excellent job. One of the best Srilanken food we had in our vacation in Sri Lanka. We had breakfast and dinner as well. The even provided our kids with western breakfast. We felt welcome from start to end and didn't want to leave. Hopefully we are back. The house with the 2 double room and the separate house with the family room is well set up and gives each guest his own privacy. The location is great with the beach and the ocean right in front of the house. With a 15min. Tuktuk ride you are both in Mirissa and Weligama. Thank you very much for having us.

Very nice room with high ceiling and big windows and a nice view of the river. The large bed is very comfy. Unfortunately no A/C, but well tolerable at night with ceiling fan. No cooking facilities, but cheap restaurants within walking distance. The family is very nice - and uncomplicated when changing the reservation.

We really loved staying here. Although it was just one night we were more than happy to be there. Super quiet place, really clean, the workers were really nice and the food they served was delicious. Would definitely recommend

We had such a great stay at mates villa! It’s a gorgeous space, and we loved using the pool and enclosed yard every day. As it’s newly opened, the rooms, kitchen and overall property is in pristine condition. Really good value for what we paid and would love to stay again next time we visit. Special shoutout to the hosts, they were so friendly and welcoming, and even helped us book a taxi to our next destination. Thank you!

We stayed a good week at Casa Smeralda's place. It was like coming home. The owner is social and has done a drink with us. The staff is super friendly and feels like family. Maybe because they were so sweet to our son (1.5) years. The swimming pool is nice and clean, the garden too, it is directly on a nice quiet beach where you can swim in the sea and close to the busier Hiriketiya where you will find many eateries and bars. Tuktuk is only 5/8 minutes. The food here is delicious and the price is completely accurate with the service that is provided. Hundred percent recommend and hopefully we'll come back sometime.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was very friendly and attentive, and you could tell they worked as one team. This place became a true source of warmth and friendship for me. Every evening, they asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day. When I got sick, they brought me plenty of tea with lemon without asking for anything in return. They organized a whale watching tour at a price lower than other excursion providers. I felt completely comfortable and safe.

We stayed a week at Slow Life boutique hotel. It felt very safe and contained . Our room was lovely upstairs with a little balcony ,air conditioning and our own bathroom. Everything was very clean our sheets and towels were changed . The common area was available but when in the hotel we spent more time in our lovely cool bedroom. Marissa was interesting to explore . The southern end of the beach was a lot calmer to swim in. It was great watching the surfers at the northern end of the beach . The only thing that wasn’t available was facilities to cook our own food . But that was fine as there were so many lovely places to eat in Marissa. Our hosts organised a scooter for us to use . Thanks very much for everything.

We really enjoyed staying in Ahangama. The rooms are a dream directly on the sea. It is clean and the hosts are very friendly.
