Updated Clinton Farmhouse, charm and character

CathyRating, 5 stars35 months ago
Hilarie’s home is just beautiful and was perfect for our needs. We had 6 people, the max number, and everyone reported that their beds were comfortable. There is a large patio/deck with great furniture, which we used frequently. The house is close to everything, yet is quiet and feels secluded. We would all definitely rent it again! Hilarie was fantastic with communication and responded very quickly to questions.

Private Wooded Retreat close to Cornell

LydiaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Great experience at Lili's! We brought our senior dog, Nala for a pupcation with us and Lili's home was perfect for our little family of 3. Definitely room for more if your family is bigger. Loved all the little touches like actual butter and eggs waiting in the fridge along with fresh local apples (holy COW those empire apples were insanely good), dog towels and instructions on paths to explore around the property, very comfortable couch and bed to relax in after a long day of exploring. I'm a celiac and have to eat GF and loved seeing things like GF pasta and oats in the pantry for guests- so thoughtful. We mainly came to explore Ithaca + Watkins Glen and the surrounding area and were blown away by how dog friendly everything was! Will quickly leave recs here if you are GF and want to know the best places to gorge yourself: Brekkie/Lunch-> Cafe Dewitt in Ithaca, Dinner-> North Star Bar in Ithaca. And if you do dairy definitely get ice cream from Cayuga Creamery in Ithaca.

Falls House at Horned Dorset Artists' Colony

JohnRating, 5 stars25 months ago
I gave the Falls House five stars across the board because it was truly that good. The house was clean, tasteful and very well appointed. Everything worked, Harold, Kingsley and his team was extremely responsive and helpful, and the breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. In short, my experience was outstanding, even with a house built before the Civil War their good taste in decoration made it seem rustic and modern at the same time. Highly recommended, with my only regret being my schedule did not allow me to eat at the restaurant itself. Two in my party did, however, and said the food was outstanding.

Clinton NY Apartment

RozamondRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We enjoyed staying here in this very nice historical building while visiting our grandson at Hamilton College. The flights of stairs up to our apartment were not too much of a challenge for us oldsters. The apartment was spacious, clean, tidy, and well appointed with linens and towels. There was a very fancy espresso machine. However I had no idea how to operate it! Luckily there was a cozy coffee shop right next door for morning coffee and pastries. Richard was easy to contact and answered our calls quickly. We would like to stay here again!

The Joshua Hathaway House Rome's Oldest Home

NicholasRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We travel often, but rarely leave reviews. In this case David and his apartment definitely deserve recognition. The apartment is clean and comfortable. We were only in town one night, but it would also be comfortable for a longer stay. Parking was easy, and it's a great location. If you are staying in Rome don't bother looking elsewhere. You won't find a nicer place at a better price! David was an incredible host! He knew our travel schedule and left us some bagels, snacks, and drinks. It was incredibly thoughtful. He spent a considerable amount of time giving us information about the area. He could not have been more gracious and welcoming. It was a wonderful experience!

Good Morning Sunshine

I felt so at home here - I cannot tell you! It was great to be able to cook myself meals after 2 weeks on the road with the microwave. A great private, peaceful, homy place! Doesn't hurt that there's wine downstairs too!

Cozy & Quiet, Close to Cornell

KyleRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I stayed at Meriams place on the front end of a work trip and the tail end too, she was very accommodating for my needs and it is a great little place. It has all, plus more of the essentials you would need and was stocked with breakfast stuff, snacks, coffee, home canned peaches and vanilla ice cream plus the towels, shampoo/conditioner, and cleaning products, extra linens, etc. were all there. Being out in the country it was secluded, quiet and far enough from lights, people and places but ideal for my work at SUNY Cortland (25 minutes) and Cornell Univ (10 min) and Ithaca (15 min) The property has a pond, gardens, a deck, unfortunately it never stopped raining long enough to enjoy them, maybe next time. Additionally it is near the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and has lots of birds around the property and is also very close to the Ithaca airport. It would be a pleasure to stay here anytime I'm in town. Town/Country Garden Apt with Views

AnnieRating, 5 stars7 months ago
I loved staying in Melanie's basement apartment while visiting my son at Ithaca College for the weekend. In addition to the private bedroom and bathroom, the apartment has a separate, comfortable, inviting living room, and a stocked kitchen with a full-size refrigerator and stove. Melanie also kindly provided plenty of snacks and breakfast items such as yogurt, blueberry muffins, and creamer for coffee. I didn't use many of the items provided but it was incredibly gracious of Melanie to do so. She also went out of her way to accommodate my car in her driveway, which wasn't necessary. I would definitely seek to stay in Melanie's place again if I return to Ithaca to visit my son. The location is close to Ithaca College (about 10-15 minutes) and was very convenient to the restaurants and shopping areas along the main street.

Our experience of staying with Nancy was unmatched by any other airbnb experience. Nancy goes above and beyond in every way as a host. She is endlessly thoughtful and generous and her abilities as a chef are out of this world! She made us several impeccable breakfasts, sweet treats, and dinners. Additionally, the setting feels about as idyllic as it gets. What an incredibly peaceful oasis! I can’t recommend Owera Winds BnB enough! We would absolutely love to come back one day!

Adorable Double Twin @ 16 Elm, Historic Mansion

EugeneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
My wife and I stayed at Jes' place for three nights. The house is is gorgeous, with the rooms impeccably decorated and furnished. All furnishings supported the heritage of this magnificent historical mansion. I had reserved the smaller room for our stay, but Jes was very kind to upgrade us to Room 2, a very large, well-decorated room with a beautiful and very comfortable king size bed. The bathroom is very large with two separate sinks and a large shower (and separate bath tub). We took advantage of the downstairs rooms, where there are comfortable chairs for reading or just relaxing. There are beverages available to have while relaxing. I highly recommend Jes' place if you're looking to stay in the Trumansburg/Ithaca/Cayuga Lake area. You will feel very at-home and not disappointed. Make your reservation early to try to get Room 2!

Utica, NY Lodging Rosemont Inn: Chantilly

LeslieRating, 5 stars28 months ago
If you enjoy being taken care of, this is the place for you. The home is elegant and has a real sense of place. Rita believes in old school hostessing. She is attentive, anticipates needs before they arise, and clearly truly takes pleasure in making her guests at home. We felt at home the minute we walked into the Inn. Fascinating antiques, and well cared for - but it has not been overdone or gentrified. The breakfast was delicious, with home made granola and many thoughtful touches and a huge tea collection. The bed was comfortable. Every little detail was taken care of. Rita gave us plenty of space, but was one hundred percent there if needed. You are within a walk or very quick drive down Genesee Street to many restaurants - a real variety. And an easy drive to all the Utica spots. Great stay!

Stately Suite in Grand Historic Manor Near Ithaca!

JohnRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Incredibly well maintained and luxurious historical mansion. Just a few minutes from taughanick falls. Despite the luxury surroundings , we were made to feel right at home. Virginia was very responsive to any questions and anticipated any needs her guests might require. Only possible negative was the proximately to the road, traffic noise starts pretty early.

We had a wonderful a wonderful time during our stay at Lesley's home. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, their place is very cozy and comfortable, and their hospitality made us feel completely at home. The three black cats and big, friendly dog were major bonuses for us and made our stay even more joyful! We would love to come back again next year.

Blue Room in an Old Brick Estate

Margaret MegRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We very much enjoyed our stay in Renee’s home. The house is located within a few minutes’ walk of the heart of Seneca Falls, so was convenient to the main attractions (the Women’s Rights National Historical Park, the National Women’s Hall of Fame, and the It’s a Wonderful Life Museum). It’s also a great base for exploring both Cayuga and Seneca Lakes and all their attractions. Renee is an engaging host and quite an innkeeper — we had waffles one morning, and her wonderful homemade bagels the other mornings, while enjoying her company and conversation. And she gave us a number of suggestions for local touring and dining places. We would cheerfully stay there again!
