This cozy cottage has 2 bedrooms, sleeping 4 guests and has a private woodfire hot tub next to the patio. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate any pets. The working farm has sheep roaming around and also 3 big farm dogs.

A house on the estuary of a VERY BIG river ie - Lower Breede river - about 15km from the sea, the house is set back about about 15m from the river . It is completely off the grid , ie only solar power and rainwater. It might not suit city dwellers who need every gadget and convenience but its heaven for the hardier ones Please bring bedding and towels . The are pillows and various duvet inners but we don't have a washing machine so we cannot supply linen

We really enjoyed our stay here. The host and owner were both very friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable, and had everything you would need for your stay. We worked remotely from here and the setup was perfect. It was very accessible to the lagoon for kitesurfing. Also had a nice big area for washing kiting gear.

Leigh’s house has unparalleled views of the river estuary. The home is very well appointed and in a secure estate. It’s close enough to moor your boat at the Breede river lodge which is very convenient. We will be back again for sure.

We stayed in a cozy, spacious house that turned out to be perfect for our getaway: clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. Each morning started with fresh air, birds singing, and the peaceful sounds of nature. The fishing was great — the fish were biting, and the kids were especially thrilled when they caught their first fish! In the evenings, we gathered around the fire, enjoying toasted snacks, heartfelt conversations, and lots of laughter. These were truly warm, meaningful days that I’d love to relive. Location is top class right on the river, Henk is easy to communicate with and allowed us to stay later on check-out. The main house is nicely done, with a big entertaining area, perfect for large family gatherings. The cottages at the back are needing some TLC - the upstairs bathroom in particular. The 6th bedroom is stuffy and small, so plan for the 5 bedrooms and you'll have a blast, esp if you rent a boat, loads of fun to be had.
