Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Swarland

Fantastic stay at Ian’s place in Amble, amazing location for everything in Northumberland as well as plenty of nice cafes and restaurants in Amble. Super property for couple or families as well we’re with lots of games and children’s books as well as all the amenities you could need for a long or short stay. Would happily stay here again if we were holidaying in the north east of England again.

We had a wonderful time! We were a group of six who hadn’t been away together before. We loved the spaciousness of the house, nobody was on top of each other. Plenty of utensils, (apart from the BBQ) towels etc and the views were spectacular albeit a tad too far from Rothbury and civilisation! All in all excellent!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lorna was a great host and made us feel very welcome. She met us at the property and made sure we got in OK and had what we needed, even though she was getting soaked whilst doing so. The property was very well presented and lots of nice touches to make it feel very homely. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Scott was an amazing host who gave detailed information before arrival which was perfectly timed. He also sent a message to check everything was okay shortly into our stay. The house itself was incredibly comfortable and homely with lovely amenities. All products were high quality such as the cooking utensils, duvet, mattress etc which makes such a difference to a stay. Everything was really thought out as well with plenty of space to put our own food and belongings and properly settle in for the week. A gorgeous location perfectly situated for all the best bits of Northumberland to explore. I cannot recommend this cottage enough. If you book, look out for the barn owl who is nested in the trees at the bottom left of the field.

A very comfortable apartment in a brilliant setting, ideal for a week away. The view from the bedroom was amazing. Loads of walks nearby, Cragside a couple of miles away. Andy and Lyd were friendly and helpful and the provision of bird seed to feed our feathered visitors was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay with our 2 young kids 😊 they loved the pirate themed bedroom and slept so well on the bunkbeds. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away and was so quiet and clean. There's a lovely cafe on the beach too that does great food. Our kids were quite happy just going to the beach I'm Newbiggin each day but it's also well located to get to Tynemouth, Druridge bay, Alnwick etc. We loved it

Great stay at Mollys Cottage , This place is fantastic and as described on listing. Smooth check in, owner is there to greet you and show you round and give you any information you require, Lovely touches like cake left for you on arrival and compimentry drink in local pub . The whole place is idyllic from the log fire to garden and fantastic hot tub , i would recommend this place to anyone you wont be disapointed ,we will be back as theres plenty to explore in this region and weve found a great base to stay.

We very much enjoyed staying at the forge (a family of 5 + Bert the Cocker Spaniel). It was spotlessly clean, well equipped, comfortable, and cosy. Our children loved playing on the tennis courts in the evenings. The location is lovely and peaceful, with Sheep for neighbours. It was our first visit to Northumberland and we hope to make this an annual visit. Mary was a great host, and we didn't have need to contact her while we were there, as she had already provided us with everything we needed for a lovely stay.

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. A really lovely little bothy in a beautiful spot. Perfect for a weekend break. We were breaking a journey north but it would be ideal for a few days walking or cycling. Thanks so much Marcelle and Alan and the dogs!

Wonderful hosts; friendly and responsive. Great location that was close to the main shops, pubs and restaurants in Hexam as well as for visiting Hadrian's Wall. Extremely well equipped and clean. Highly recommend.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The place is beautifully decorated with so much character—stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The setting was perfect too—peaceful, charming, and a great base for exploring the area. What really made the experience stand out were the hosts. Super friendly and welcoming, with incredible local knowledge that totally upgraded my trip. From hidden gems to the best spots to eat and explore, their tips made all the difference. This was our third stay at this lovely flat and we can only reiterate the reviews we posted previously... Great flat in a perfect location for touring Northumberland as well as looking around Alnwick. Clean and nicely furnished. Easy parking with the parking disc. Communication excellent. I had a query on arrival which was very quickly resolved by a very helpful phone call. If you want to self cater there is a Morrisons less than 5 mins walk away. Otherwise there are lots of restaurants and takeaways. This flat is highly recommended. We will return!!

A lovely, spacious apartment with lovely bees across to Warkworth castle. Apartment was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. It’s in a great location for walking into Amble and exploring the southern part of Northumberland.

We had a lovely stay! Norman was very helpful and let us drop our bags off early and provided some good recommendations of where to visit . The accommodation was comfy and we had all we needed . Thank you!

Wir haben uns von Anfang an super wohlgefühlt! Die Wohnung ist wunderschön und bietet mit der Lage einen tollen Rückzugsort aus dem Trubel von Newcastle. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt und man kann sich von Beginn an wie zu Hause fühlen :) Die Kommunikation mit Anthony war sehr einfach und stets sehr freundlich. Wir empfehlen diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiter und bedanken uns bei den tollen Gastgebern ;)
