Family-friendly holiday rentals in Surrey

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

Great place and great host

We had a great week at Annick's place. Her home is beautiful, clean, warm and tastefully decorated. Its location is ideal: metro, bus and shops are within walking distance, which is very convenient. Annick is French like us, which made communication even more fluid. She was thoughtful and gave us great recommendations. Thank you for the perfect stay, we'll be back with pleasure!

A great home in a great location for london. We stayed with small children for 2 weeks and the home was perfectly set up for our family with toys, a safety gate, cot, bath and washing machine. The local parks and commons were fantastic. François was a very attentive and generous host, giving us lots of information and responding quickly and thoroughly to any queries. We felt very welcomed and at home.

Maria's house is absolutely fantastic. Very spacious, four big double rooms, lovely big living room and well equipped kitchen. The house is in a great location and has so many beautiful homely touches. We arrived slightly early and saw Maria who was incredibly friendly and helpful. We would highly reccommend booking Maria's house if you are looking to stay in Brixton.

Laura's apartment is located in a very beautiful area of London, the village of Barnes and Richmond are to be discovered! It's quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the City but it's accessible by train (not directly by subway, but trains to Waterloo station are regular). We had a short stay with the family at this place and I would definitely recommend it to discover London and its surroundings!

Apartment is situated a lot closer to Battersea park than anticipated which was lovely. it's also a prime location for the developments at Battersea Power Station (birdies golf, cinema, Ramsay's pizza) - close connections for the rest of London (Northern line and national rail). The host met us and gave a quick tour asking if we needed anything else, all was already taken care of. Very clean and a great size for our party, 5/5 would recommend!

We enjoyed our 12 day stay at Linda's. We were well prepared in advance, and everything involved in getting checked in went very smoothly. We were very comfortable and slept well. Linda and her husband were friendly and helped us get oriented locally. The kitchen worked out extremely well for us to prepare most of our meals, and that helped us with some dietary issues. We would highly recommend Linda's place. It is a great balance between a quiet country place, yet close to shopping and restaurants in Cobham and Esher. We hope to be back again!

Benny was really great with communication as I booked very last minute! She also kindly let me check in much earlier and I also checked out a little later due to my own fault of not realising checkout was at 10am! The place is spotless and is well equipped, there were breakfast items left which was thoughtful and generous of Benny. The location is beautiful and peaceful - lots of cute lambs and ponies and even deer! A short drive takes you into forest row where you have a good selection of shops

I can’t think of a better place to start our trip to England! 20min from the airport yet you feel transported to the English countryside. Beautiful views of Windsor castle, lovely surrounding gardens and fields. Susie and Hamish were impeccable hosts and left a delightful basket of goodies. Our two children greatly enjoyed their Brio train set and frolicking in the garden, as well as feeding seeds that Susie left us to visiting carrier pigeons. We enjoyed all of Hamish’s recommendations, particularly the walk through Windsor Great Park, dinner at Barley Mow, and a day spent at Savill Garden and Adventure Play. You won’t regret your stay here!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, Abi’s place really is a home from home. Everything is super comfortable and her house has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It’s walkable to Cobham high street which is perfect and it has plenty of lovely walks close by. Abi is also a wonderful and friendly host, very responsible and was flexible with check out time which made all the difference as we were staying with our young daughter. Could not recommend Abi’s home enough. Thank you Abi for a lovely stay x

We had such a wonderful time. The flat has absolutely everything you need and plenty more. The art, the plants, the books and the decor make it a very special place. Situated close to the beautiful Terrace Gardens and Richmond Park and with cafes , pubs and convenience stores steps away you will not be disappointed. Easy walk down the hill to the station and everything Richmond has to offer. James was absolutely charming and super helpful. Highly recommend🤗

Great place, highly recommend. I had expected something much smaller from the photos and price. Lots of space inside and out, private self contained property, very quiet and peaceful. Would have loved to stay for more nights and really make the most of the property. Many thanks

Fantastic Christmas stay in beautiful Bramshott village. Olivia and Ed really helped us out when another host let us down at short notice. Cannot thank them enough for their flexibility, and for allowing our extended family to have a wonderful Christmas together. Olivia and Ed are great hosts, very quick and clear with communication, and happy to help with any questions we had. Highly recommend this home and location for large families. We easily accommodated 9 of us. Lots to do nearby, with great restaurants, pubs and local walks. Thanks again for a fabulous stay!

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was spotless and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was a highlight, fully equipped for cooking. We loved the unique check-in experience – (kind of simple puzzle hunt) and Monopoly-themed rooms were a fun and memorable touch. Our host was incredibly responsive and helpful. Traveling with a baby, we appreciated the thoughtful touches and provisions made for our little one. Highly recommend!

The hosts are very kind and accommodating! The location was nearby public transit and the hosts provided clear instructions and guides on how to navigate the city.

Emma was very welcoming as we arrived. She showed us around and gave us perfect advice on how to get into town. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. We found a swing attached to the trees and had great fun. The bed was like a cloud and the kitchen had everything you need. Would recommend to family and would stay again.

We had such a lovely family stay at this beautiful pool house! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The space was spotlessly clean and well-kept, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. Carmel was absolutely wonderful—so kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed before we had even arrived, which made our stay even more special. The highlight, of course, was the pool! It was stunning and incredibly relaxing—perfect for both kids and adults to enjoy. Whether we were swimming, lounging poolside, or just enjoying the peaceful surroundings, it truly felt like a slice of paradise. We had a fabulous long stay in Susan’s house. The house was perfect, spacious and homely and in a great location near Clapham high st and Clapham common with lots of nice shops, parks and close to lots of public transport. Susan was very welcoming and responsive and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and help us during our stay.

What an amazing find! The barn was perfect for us, just like the photos and the rooms felt even bigger. Loved the pool and outdoor space. Also the indoor BBQ was such a plus! Not far from Guildford and Woking, so plenty to do in the area also. Definitely worth it for a group of friends/family!
