House holiday rentals in Summersville

The Lily Pad was an amazing home away from home for our family of four. Downtown with great restaurants is walkable and it's a short drive to rafting, zip lining, etc. The place was exactly as described and we got a lot of use out of the sunporch and back deck with hot tub and pool. Eric and Landon are great hosts. One night, around 4am, one of the smoke detectors went off. We removed the battery and texted the hosts. We got an immediate response and Landon came over right away and dropped off a new battery AND ear protection. Couldn't ask for better hosts. Excellent stay!!

This is the perfect spot for a bachelor party weekend. We came out to do some white water rafting, so the location was perfect. The pool, hot tub, outdoor grill setup is top notch. Our only criticism is that the kitchen is a bit of a wreck with a ton of water leaking out of the fridge and a heck of a lot of mold growing under the sink. That doesn't bother 9 guys on a rafting trip, though. Absolutely would come back!

Great location with spectacular reviews. Wifi in the house could be improved as signals are pretty weak. Enjoy our time here every year and look forward to being back in 2026.

Ashley and Bill’s Aviator Lounge is the PERFECT spot for a guys trip. The living space is laid out and decorated perfectly, the beds are pretty comfortable and the kitchen has everything one may need. The hot tub and pool are epic as advertised. The highlight of the trip is the World War Two biplane, piloted by Bill. Flying with Bill is a must do item while in Fayetteville. It’s an experience like no other, that left me smiling for days, to the point my face hurt. The space is six minutes from the gorge, and about 4 minutes from the restaurants in town. Ashley had some great recommendations for rafting guides and places to go in town. I cannot wait to go back.

This place was AMAZING and we will most definitely stay again! The location was close to our family which made it very convenient for us visiting from Ohio. The home was immaculate - not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere! it smelled wonderful and had so many different amenities - it truly was like staying at your house away from home! There was plenty of room for our family to crash and also lots of places for the kids to play. The beds were SO comfy - better than my bed at home 😂 Plenty of clean linens and a huge kitchen which is great if you'd like to cook on your trip and save $$. The hot tub under the stars was such a a special addition as well, with a big backyard for kids to run around in. Big driveway so lots of parking. Stephen was super friendly and helpful to us - answered all of our [probably silly] questions almost instantly and was very patient with us. He was also flexible and kind about us having some extra family members there. All around wonderful trip and space!

Best game room ever! The house is well appointed with great drive through parking. We spent a lot of time playing board games and eating family dinners at the huge table in the sunroom. Our favorite area by far was the game room. There was so much to do. We’re a group of parents and young adults and we all enjoyed it. Myla was an excellent host and very responsive from booking to check out.

Neat and clean. Quiet neighborhood. The ramp was extremely helpful to my aging mother. Location was quick and convenient right off Rt. 19. I would highly recommend this location. Loved the walk in shower - again, helpful to my aging mother. We enjoyed evening meals in the very comfortable dining room. There is a nice fenced in backyard and though we didn't need it, it is very nice with a deck big enough to enjoy. It was nice to sit and unwind to a little TV before turning in. Bedrooms are ample size with comfy beds. If you are in need of lodging in the area - Memaw's Place is all you will need. We are very appreciative of the safe, warm, clean, comfortable stay. We will be rebooking in the future as the need arises.

This was the perfect spot for our family of 5 while we explored New River Gorge NP. Very close to the Canyon Rim area of the park as well as grocery stores and restaurants.

The home was lovely, clean, and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay. We were able to sit on the porch and relax in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and we heated some of our own meals. We were thankful for a nice stay!

This was the best Airbnb we ever stayed in. The house was lovely with new furnishings. Immaculately clean and welcoming. There were so many incidentals that made us feel welcomed and special. Perfect in between Fayetteville and Summersville. Plenty of towels, we enjoyed using the grill and fire pit. I cannot say enough about the home but we didn’t want t to leave. A great place to relax. And Tammy was so responsive to My many inquiries. I appreciate that!

What a beautiful property! The views from this cabin are breathtaking, especially in the morning with the fog in the mountains. The cabin is incredibly cozy, rustic and eccentric. It has a personality all of its own and you can tell it is very well loved. Comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. Everything felt and looked clean. The hosts were very responsive and we met Alan when he was tending to the chickens - he is so friendly and great for conversation! New River Gorge National Park and Fayetteville are within 15 minutes of this cabin, along with all the fun activities. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting this area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The home was extremely clean and well designed. All the appliances worked well, very organized and useful. The front enclosed porch was great and the open back patio was nice too. Quiet and near town. Nice options for food deliveries and everything you need to cook in the house. Walmart just a few miles away as was everything else. Very nice stay!!

We stayed one night in Mellow Yellow on our way to NC. It was the perfect size for my 10 y/o and myself. We loved the 60’s decor! Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean! We would absolutely stay here again!

This was a great location for a weekend visit to the Summersville Lake area. The house has several great areas (indoors and outdoors) for gathering and relaxing. And the location made for easy visits to the lake as well as to Fayetteville for dining and shopping.

We enjoyed our stay at Ruth’s place! The setting is peaceful & beautiful, with a spacious yard and inviting porches that were perfect for relaxing. The house was well stocked & had everything we needed. It’s in a great location - just a short drive from Summersville- and since I grew up in Canvas and remember going to the Groves Dairy when I was a kid, staying in the old farmhouse made this visit extra special

We loved the location and proximity to what we wanted to explore. The cabin itself is great! Very secluded and well cared for. The deck is especially nice, but it rained nearly the entire time we were there, so not a lot of coverage. We loved the fire pit! The house was nice and as described, however, it's very very noisy, which we did read in reviews after the fact. If you're looking for a quiet place to nap, sleep, etc. vs a base camp for hiking and entertaining, it's a challenge. Although the cabin is adorable, it's very very noisy / creaky. You hear every little movement, everywhere. We didn't use the bunk house. The cabin stayed cool and we had plenty of hot water (3 of us) at all times. They also supply plenty of linens & towels which is very nice. Our favorite thing was the deck. Very large and nice to hang out. The cabin is also very quiet (outside) with lots of nature sounds and beautiful magnolia trees all around. The hosts are both great and helpful.

We loved our stay! We wanted to be close to Summersville lake for kayaking and we couldn’t have asked for a better location. The yard was an excellent size. We had a blast!

Kim was an incredible host! Her attention to detail throughout the home was second to none. Her property is beautiful and peaceful, but close to everything we wanted to do. We were there to explore the New River Gorge NP and we did not have to travel far to any trailheads or for whitewater rafting. All of her restaurant recommendations were spot on, and we really enjoyed exploring the neighboring towns. Coming back to the hot tub after a day of hiking or rafting was so nice! We enjoyed watching the deer and turkeys (both with lots of babies) and the sunsets from the porch. The home was cozy and well stocked with anything we could possibly need, and Kim made sure we were happy and well taken care of. We stay in Airbnbs all over the US and Canada, and this is, by far, one of the best! I would give it 10 stars if I could! Thank you, Kim, for providing such a wonderful and beautiful place to call home for a few days.

We loved the location and the amenities of this house. It was super clean, beautifully decorated, and met all of our needs. Beds were comfortable. When it rained outside, we couldn't hear it inside. I would definitely stay again.

Our stay at Kenny’s was amazing. Located in a quiet setting, the home was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything was well thought out. Kenny’s recommendations regarding restaurants and activities were spot on. We were very excited to find Celiac friendly places in Fayetteville—a bakery (Wylde Berry) and great GF Pizza (Pies & Pints). We will definitely plan to return to this gem!
