Sue was an absolutely incredible host! We stayed here for the weekend, as I was due to get married in bury st Edmund’s, so needed a place to get ready. As soon as Sue knew this, she was so accommodating, and helpful! Giving us extra space for us to get ready, putting up banners & balloons, it was the most beautiful and generous thing she could have done for us! The apartment is clean, stunning, cosy, and made us feel right at home. The balcony was so beautiful, with beautiful views and we enjoyed a cup of tea out there the morning after our wedding. The whole experience there was just perfect! And I could not be more thankful or grateful to Sue & her husband! We came back after our day to find a beautiful card & a bottle of Prosecco as a congratulations gift! Myself and my now husband, would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to anyone! Thank you so much Sue, you were truly wonderful! :)

Joe was a great host, always kind, helpful, and attentive. The Mousehole is a lovely place to stay: very cozy, clean, and equipped with all the essentials. The house is beautifully decorated and very warm and welcoming. If you have any doubts, don’t hesitate to ask Joe, who is honest and very accommodating. Wivenhoe is a quiet and charming town, full of flowers and beautiful views of boats along the river. There are also a few nice pubs and restaurants just a short walk away. All in all, a great stay in a lovely place.

The apartment was beautiful with lovely high ceilings! It was clean and very well equipped. We came from Dorset and with the help of Google Maps it was very easy to find the accommodation. It was a very easy walk into the city centre and took us less than 10 minutes. The city was very clean and had absolutely everything you could want. We would definitely recommend the apartment as it was so nice and welcoming.

When you come to Colchester, stay here. Absolutely! I felt unwell on arrival. Martin and Ronni took this in their stride, Martin helping me inside where I immediately went to bed. Throughout our stay every request was immediately answered and fulfilled. Comfortable bed, ultra clean accommodation, plenty of room. My spouse and I have a fountain of praise about this accommodation. We enjoyed the short walk, maybe 10 to 15 minutes to town center. We will stay here when we next visit Colchester, that’s for sure.

We booked for a long stay and what a wonderful stay it was, everything was thought of at the property along with the best possible hosts, whenever we messaged it was answered promptly by Leah. The location is a beautiful little village, next to a park, on weekends and bank holidays the park does get busy, however it is never intrusive or noisy inside the property. Car park wise, you have two options, to pay inside the park opposite or to park on street just a short 5 minute walk away. Inside, everything you could possibly need, including lots of spares, such as cleaning products or essentials like soap. A spacious and warm living environment that the photos don’t do justice too. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, bathroom is enormous, useful utility room and hallway, bedroom also has lots of storage space. Lots of options near by if you’re hungry or looking to get groceries, peaceful walks and general tranquillity

Was originally meant to stay at a friend's house but they had cut me the wrong key. I last minute booked this Airbnb and Cate was immediately responsive and helpful! The place was nice and quiet, definitely recommend

Great weekend in Colchester visiting friends the flat itself is very clean and tidy I found it very quiet and peaceful in the evenings close to a large supermarket about 10 minutes drive from the town centre and about 30 minutes from the beach I would happily stay here again

It was the first time that we had stayed in an Air bnb so we weren't sure what to expect. Really struck gold with this booking...flat was excellent, location was great for us (we had a wedding so the venue was walkable!) As described in the details though the comfort of the bed AND the balcony were really surprising extras. Parking is very difficult in Cambridge so having an allotted parking space was great....thanks again Simon and look forward to staying again.

Excellent annex, perfect for a weekend getaway, lovely welcome pack, Sarah even left a welcome pack for our doggy, Will definitely book again, if we go to the east coast again. Very easy to find and gain access, No problems with anything.

The place was very spacious, clean, and accomodating. The bed was comfortable, the shower had nice water pressure, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The seating was great and we were able to accommodate guests for dinner and a nice visit. It is within walking distance to just about anything you would want to go and do. It feels like you are in the middle of town but it is quiet.

David and Leslie are the kindest and most welcoming of hosts. They made me feel at home immediately, and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very willing to accommodate my requests, and it was lovely to enjoy their hospitality in the garden. Their generosity was evident in the LWH - ensuring there were things for breakfast and a drink (even ice cold water in the fridge) to lovely cosmetics in the bathroom. And the LWH was spotless, beautifully kitted out and the bed was very, very comfortable. I had everything I needed for my short stay, and if I had needed something, I was reassured that all I should do was to ask. The LWH is a great place to stay to explore this part of Essex and is highly recommended. Thank you David and Leslie for all that you did to make my stay a memorable one.

Tom’s place is well located in Cambridge off a quiet street but easily walkable to all the key sites, and Tom could not have been more hospitable. I would highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at St John’s Mews. Perfect position for walking into Bury St Edmund’s centre. The apartment was very neat, tidy and clean. Communication was very good and helpful when it was needed. Would definitely stay again.

Brett is a fantastic host, and the flat is one of our favorites we've ever stayed in! Has everything you could need for a short or long stay, the perfect size for two people, tons of character and a lovely view out the front windows. Great for remote work too, as the internet was speedy and reliable. Highly recommend this flat!

Lovely clean apartment thoughtfully decorated and fitted out above the historic and charming Blue Ball Inn. A modern bathroom attached to each of the 2 sizeable bedrooms, fab views across the peaceful rural countryside, friendly staff in the pub which had a convivial atmosphere and terrific food. Five stars all round.

Emma and her family made my stay ultra welcoming and the place was a perfect hideaway whilst I got started with my new job. Emma was always on hand and responded to every question quickly and never made me feel like anything was an effort The place was clean, quiet and well placed for getting into London. Witham has a host of nice restaurants (El Pulpo being my fave), Freeport designer village is up the road and beautiful countryside is only 5 minutes drive. Can’t recommend the place enough and was a lovely experience from start to finish.

We had a lovely weekend staying at Honey Hill Lodge. Excellent location for exploring the area. Stephen and Dawn were extremely friendly and helpful, our grandson loved running around the garden.

This is a beautiful little cottage in the heart of a working race yard. Very tastefully decorated and in great condition. Excellent bathroom, extrement comfy, extra large bed and luxurious bed linen. Our host left essentials in the bathroom, fresh milk in the fridge and was on hand to hell with anything we needed. It's a short walk into Newmarket town and the racecourses are a short drive away. Thoroughly recommend and would stay again if available next time we visit.

This flat is right in the heart of Bury St. Edmund. It is right across from the Abbey ruins and park with spectacular view of the cathedral. It is a walkable distance from great restaraunts, brewery, grocery, shopping and local market, which is held Wednesday and Saturday. The flat is on the second story of a 2 story building. The flat is two stories with quiet bedrooms and lovely bathrooms on the second floor. The kitchen had everything that we needed for cooking! We highly recommend the Mowgli restaurant!
