Thanks to Amanda and Adam for a great 3 nights at the Silver Birch Lodge. It was so much to do and the hot tub and fire pit was so amazing… We learnt how to build a fire pit as never done this before so was a good experience. Me and my 8 year old took the bikes out and went around the village with some spectacular views and really friendly people. If you are looking to relax and get away for a few days then this is the place to come really nice from start to finish… Thanks again for being amazing hosts and will definitely come back again!!!

Went away for my partners birthday and we both loved it. The lodge looked exactly like the pictures and the lodge was super clean. The hot tub was amazing and very relaxing. It was a great location too. Roughly 45 minutes away from Cambridge and 20 minutes from Ely, both fantastic places to visit and lots to see/do. Couldn’t complain about a thing. I would recommend this lodge to anyone!

We had a lovely weekend at Suzanne’s place. The surroundings were beautiful and so peaceful. The hot tub was the highlight and we spent a very relaxing weekend in it. The place itself is so clean and has a lovely layout. Suzanne and her husband were so friendly and were always reachable if need be. We will definitely be back. Rachael and Sarah :)

I could actually live here, it was so peaceful, (possibly not the case if there was a event going on,) beautiful garden pond area, would love to see inside the windmill, clean, fresh interior, planted area around the hot tub, enough wood left for our stay as this is a wood fire heated hottub, which was clean, fresh and well maintained, shower room was clean and tidy, bedroom was alittle awkward to get to for a larger man like myself or for anyone with mobility issues but it was a lovely little nook once up the little staircase, there was another group on site but because of yhe pods positioning couldnt hear them at all. A very nice place to stay and would recommend it for any couple. Oh and the sofa pulls out for a sifa bed aswell I needed to use it as getting up into the bedroom was a little tight,

We had a wonderful stay in one of the cabins! Easy instructions to find, and ample parking. Beautiful landscaping around the pod cabins, and although there were others, it felt very secluded and private. Very quiet and loved hearing the horses and birds. The wood fired hot tub was AMAZING and was the perfect place to catch up with friends. BBQ made for easy dining and we were able to sit out on the patio. Small inside (for 4 people) but perfectly formed and had absolutely everything we needed. Loved our stay and hope to return!

Harmony House was just perfect for us as a family. It was extremely spacious and was very well equipped, it had everything you could possibly need. There were some lovely little additional touches too, which gave Harmony House a more personal feel. A real holiday home from home experience for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are hopeful to be back again in the future. Thank you again Catherine 😊

The lodge was very clean and comfortable. There was so many little touches, which Kate had in the lodge, including the emergency toiletries and homemade cookies, which was such a lovely gesture. The lodge was fully equipped with all essentials, Kate has really thought of everything. We walked to the local pub for a drink and the locals were so friendly. Any questions which I had, were answered in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this lodge and give it a 5 star rating.

We absolutely loved our stay at Adrian’s cabin. The vineyard is stunning to wake up to and very peaceful. The cabin has everything you need, and is well kitted out. The local pub was great and we enjoyed some nice ales/cider! We spent Friday afternoon wine tasting with Adrian which was lovely and really insightful, and as part of our experience he provided a large picnic to take away and enjoy on our balcony. Thank you Adrian, we’ll definitely be coming back!

Jean and Brian were perfect hosts. They were present but discrete. A beautiful loaf of homemade bread, eggs, butter and jam were a very welcome treat. The premises were spotless. The grounds were beautiful, many little visitors were present: a couple of hares joined the ducks, bird, rabbits and moorhens. Although we don't fish, we were reliably informed that there was carp to be caught. The ser up looked very chilled but we'll maintained. I would definitely recommend this to others.

We had a lovely few days at the Mersea Retreat. It is very well equipped, comfortable and quiet and Emily is a very helpful host. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed walking on the beach and visiting the Mersea Island Museum. Hope to stay again. Many thanks.

Paulina went above and beyond make sure the caravan had all essentials. The caravan was clean and tidy, it felt homely. Perfectly situated by all amenities. Would definitely visit again

Sandy was there to meet us on arrival which was really lovely. She couldn’t do enough for us and we felt welcome. She was contactable at all times. The accommodation was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen area was perfect for us and had all we needed for a comfortable weekend. The bed was huge and really comfortable. The cabin was warm and the heating was easy to adjust. It was private and very quiet. Very safe and secure. It’s a really beautiful location and if we are in the area again we’d definitely try and book a slot with Sandy.

Fantastic lodge, just as described, spotlessly clean, everything you could need. Ideally located to visit Maldon, Burnham, Leigh on sea etc. Good choice of country inns and cafes. Would definately stay again.

An absolutely delightful Airbnb - a cabin in a lovely garden behind the owners' thatched cottage - quiet and secluded, and in a pretty village. The interior, of one large room en suite, is well laid out and tastefully decorated and furnished. Fresh flowers, and homemade flapjacks and elderflower cordial on arrival, were a nice touch. My wife and I are unfamiliar with Essex and were pleasantly surprised by the villages and surrounding countryside. We regret not staying longer to see more of the county. Next time perhaps!

Vincent was extremely helpful with anything we needed to know and responded very quickly. the place was very unique with so much detail. even though it's end of his garden it did not feel like that as has been made to be very private. the jacuzzi was lovely with the fairy lights around it. the bottom bunk of the bed was so cozy and the tv in there made it even more enjoyable. and could even have a curtain round it. didn't want to get of bed 😅 also the bathroom had bird noices when you went in there which was a nice touch.

We rented John’s hut to spend a day at the beach with friends. The hut was exactly as described and very well located, close to the cafesnand shops, the toilets, and the parking spaces. It contained everything you can need for a perfect day at the beach! Would definitely recommend it and would consider renting it again in the future.

We had the best time here! Such a nice neighborhood!! The cottage was so nice and cozy! And Adam was very kind to answer our questions if we had any!

Lovely cabin in a very spacious, private setting. Cosy, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Especially enjoyed relaxing in the illuminated dome in the evening, even while the rain poured outside! Only stayed overnight, and chosen for its proximity to a number of nature reserves we were visiting, but ideally located for touring the three county area.

beautiful lodge in a quiet area which would be great for any fishing fans. only 30-40 mins from a selection of great beaches too, so an ideal location for exploring the area. Ruth was a great host and even dropped off some freshly laid eggs and some plastic cups for the hot tub!

Very quiet and beautiful setting. Easy to find with the clear instructions given. Great location, about 50 minutes into London by car. Peter is a great host and is very responsive when you message. Thanks for the lovely stay, we will be back soon.

A great stay for our family. The perfect getaway from the madness of every day parent life! We enjoyed a 2 hour exploration across the acres of land nearby and some relaxation in the well maintained hot tub. The place was a home from home and extremely well kept. In the evening there were a few creepy crawlies, but expected in the countryside! The king sized bed was ever so comfy and the children slept well in the single bedroom next door. We would 100% recommend this place and would love to come back in the near future.

The Hayloft is a smart, high spec cottage in a stunning location. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bathroom was spacious. The host was very generous with treats for dogs and their humans and lovely bath products. There is a decent dog-friendly pub in Easton, a short walk away. It is close to Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo and the delights of the River Deben. Ideal both for relaxation and adventure.
