Holiday rentals with lake access in Strangford Lough

Febbie is a warm-hearted hostess who cares very much about the well-being of her guests. The accommodation is located in a separate small cottage with plenty of privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at Alexandra's place as accommodation prior to my wedding for myself and the bridal party. Alexandra and Sally were very accommodating and even provided some provisions of bread, milk and Prosecco! I would definitely love to stay here again with more time to explore the local area, which is beautiful. The house itself is charming and characterful, as well as well-equipped for cooking and doing laundry. There is a double garage at the rear of the garden which was very helpful for parking.

Loved our stay here! Beds were comfortable, views were amazing. Yeah there was some noise from the bars on Saturday night, but we just played white noise on a phone and fell right to sleep. Bring an eye mask, unless you love waking up with the sun! I did manage to catch sunrise one morning and it was very pretty.

We had a great stay at Marina House. It had everything we needed for our short visit and a perfect location for travelling around Northern Ireland. The kids play area just outside was fantastic and the local coffee shops and bars welcoming, especially for an end of day pint and a game of darts! Jenn was very helpful and replied to our queries promptly. Would visit again.

We had an amazing stay! Barbara was incredibly attentive and truly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. From thoughtful touches around the home to quick and friendly communication, it was clear she genuinely carer about her guests. The space was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. We felt completely at home and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch Airbnb experience!

What a gorgeous little cottage, that gave us a warm hug as soon as we came through the door! This is a beautifully considered space, with lovely artwork, original pottery, interesting books and everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Although we didn't meet Alastair (we had to change our arrival time from that arranged to meet with him and he gave us key lock box details), his generosity and hospitality was evident in every corner of the cottage. Lovely details included fresh flowers, sweet and savoury snacks, soft and alcoholic tipples, essential fridge items to start us off, sparkling water beside the bed, luxury shower gels and soaps and loads of other little touches that provided for any possible need we could have had during our stay. We couldn't have asked for more! We thoroughly recommend this little gem to anyone looking to explore Hillsborough and the surrounding countryside.

Great hosts and interesting accommodations. Lots to do outside in the summer, more limited in the summer but still beautiful place for walking and exploring. Great place for a Christmas family get together

The accommodation is in a rural location within a short drive of Carrickfergus Town. This was ideal for us as the weather let us down so the games room and hot tub were used. Everything in the house is up to a high standard and the host's communication was excellent.

From the minute I booked Katie was on hand with advice , suggestions etc. A first class service from start to finish. the accomodation itself was above expectations, little gestures like a breakfast and snack hamper, spotless in every room it was more than a home from home and added so much more to my first experience of Belfast. Absolutely loved it and would most definitely recommend to everyone.

We’ve stayed at Rob and Bex’s place a few times now and always enjoy our time there. Lovely character and comfortable in a fabulous location. Thanks to you both.

Liam is a fantastic host! The house was spotless and well-equipped with all essential white goods, which were easy to use. The washroom was clean, tidy, and stocked with basic toiletries. Liam was very responsive—he usually replied within 5 minutes and resolved any queries within 15–20 minutes. The location is also excellent, with a bus stop just a 3-minute walk away that takes you to the city centre in around 10 minutes. The stay was incredibly comfortable and truly felt like home. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Really enjoyed our stay at Rory and Jill’s place. Extremely helpful hosts. Very walkable to great restaurant snacks convenient for exploring the area.

Liam's place is exactly as described; bathroom, kitchen and room was spotless clean, he provide us with towels, bed sheets and enough pillows, kitchen has the basic amenities. The house is 15-20 minute walk to downtown super convenient, we didn't have to take bus because it's really close to city center though there's a bus stop right on the avenue just in case it's late or your tired pret much buses leave you in the place easy to find and easy to go back and forth from downtown. Additional Liam he is super kind and incredible host, he responded our messages really fast and helped us as well plus's he gave us recommendations to places and pubs to visit, our stay was really pleasant and if we ever come back we will definitely we'd be back! :)

Central location with all we needed for a great stay

Lovely peaceful stay in beautiful grounds. Lots of walks on the private grounds including walk to their private beach. Very tranquil and special place. We did a few day trips including Ayr PortPatrick some local areas for nice restaurants. My son loves football and we went to see local town Stranraer play on his birthday and they won. We saw lots of deer and nature everywhere. Children loved the zip wire and there was a games room which we didn’t manage to get to. Kate and Angus couldn’t have been more helpful, lots of great recommendations and wonderful welcome hamper which was delicious and appreciated. Beautiful place and private grounds bigger than expected. We were sad to leave and miss the lovely scenery. Thanks so much for a memorable trip.

Lovely long weekend stay in Joanna’s cottage - super cosy, beautiful surroundings. Lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, and great that it was dog friendly too. Joanna was a great host - clear communication & quick replies.

The cottage is perfect. The cleanliness was second to none. The welcome our dog got was fantastic and the areas for her to run around in were brilliant. The outside hot and cold taps were well used. I couldn’t recommend this place enough. The offer of having the log burner lit for our arrival was an especially nice touch. The beds were comfy and clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The only problem we had was finding the gate off the main road but that was purely due to horrendous fog which is nobody’s fault. I would recommend the cottage to anyone, not just dog owners.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, and the convenience to the locations we visited for our trip. Would recommend, and if, no when, we return to Ireland, will try to book again

Our third visit. We love it more every time we come. A very special cottage with lots of space for family both inside and in the extensive gardens and walks around the island. The views over Strangford Lough from the cottage and garden is so serene. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it all.

Fiona is absolutely lovely so very welcoming helpful and gave us our privacy. The lodge is wonderful everything you could want and even home baked scones on our arrival! It is so peaceful and in the middle of nowhere (just what we wanted) but be warned the smaller country roads can be very uncomfortable to drive on! The roads however are very quiet in comparison to England so you may not come across another car coming towards you! We felt so very much at home too! It’s an absolute jewel as self catering accommodation, I don’t believe you could find a better place for the money. It’s a 10 from us and can’t thank Fiona and family enough!

We had an incredible stay at Dunskey - it is definitely worth the effort!! Our cottage was perfect. Equipped with everything we needed, decorated beautifully and comfortable. The estate itself is wonderful with beaches, lochs, waterfalls, a maze and plenty of walks so we barely left. We enjoyed a fishing lesson with Steven the head groundsman, he was knowledgeable, friendly and we throughly enjoyed it, even though we unsuccessfully at getting a catch. Port Patrick is lovely with a nice beach, pubs and a local village store. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back again!!!
