Calm surroundings and beautiful views. The house is old and is located in the farmhouse of Vattarnesi. Sheep is prone to coming in on the tin. The house consists of one bathroom with shower and kitchen where guests can cook. There are three bedrooms, two of them with a double bed and one with two single beds. We are not on the ring road (road number 1). The house is on the old ring road between Fáúðsfjörður and Reyðarfjörður, 19km from Fáskúðsfjörður and 29km from Reyðarfjörður.

Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

Our Honeymoon cottage is the perfect place for those who seek a genuine Icelandic experience with a private hot tub overlooking the fiord. The cabin is just a couple of minute drive from Seydisfyordur. You might even spot some whales while having a bbq.
