A very beautiful house in a stunning location with a view over lake Mälaren. Helena was very responsive before and during our stay, getting a baby cot in for us, recommending a restaurant etc. It’s a 15 min walk from the underground, 5 min walk to Fridhemsbryggan where you can swim and just 20min walk to Mälarhöjdsbadet - worked very well for all of us. We book it again if we come back!

Margareta's house is situated in a magic location. The view onto the bay is simply breathtaking, the vast premises and the garden are ever so beautiful, the jetty with access to the sea is great. You can either use your own terrace in front of your house, the one down at the jetty or the sweet winter garden at the highest point of the property. The house is very cosy and perfect for a couple with one child. Margareta is a lovely host, quick to answer all your questions. We can warmly recommend renting this house.

The small private beach right by the house is very nice. The warm shower overlooking the sea makes bathing in the sea a highlight even on cooler days. Lise-Lotte and her family are incredibly hospitable. It is not a matter of course to be picked up from the ferry dock. The welcome was very very warm and we were grateful that Lise-Lotte transported our luggage to the accommodation. If you are looking for peace and an island with great hiking trails and swimming spots, this is the place to be. We would keep coming back!

I, my husband and our three adult children spent a weekend in the warehouse - plenty of room for all of us. It was the first real summer days of the year, so we spent a lot of time in the garden. There was a dip in the lake too! The nature in the area is very peaceful with peacocks strolling around. And an extra bonus was the fantastic venison we could buy on the farm. We'd love to come back here!

We spent the Christmas period at Fredrik’s house and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay! The living / kitchen area is so sociable - we were all able to cook, chat and be together by the fire with ease. The house is super cozy with really high quality furnishings to wind down on in the evenings. This place is a lot bigger than what the pictures show the sauna was fantastic too. It was amazing to be so close to nature and the frozen sea, we did a lot of walking around the area in the snowy woodlands and saw all sorts of wildlife! Thank you so much Fredrik - we will most certainly be returning in the future!!

Beautiful garden, large ecological house, peaceful surroundings, great place to discover the Stockholm archipelago either directly from lervik pier or Vaxholm pier at a 30mn drive. Thanks a lot, Per !

We had such a nice stay at Marie and Tomas's great house! It was important for us that we could reach the place by public transport and the house is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop and 5 minutes from the ferry dock. We came by ferry from Stockholm - a beautiful ride through the archipelago and were picked up by Marie and warmly welcomed. She showed us around and explained everything and was always available. We all loved the house and would have preferred to move in forever. With the bikes we were able to visit many wonderful places on the island, such as the old ferry dock,the lighthouse, the lake, the small stand where the boat is located that we liked to use. Since the holidays in Sweden were already over, it was very quiet on the island and we were mostly alone everywhere. We also enjoyed the beautiful garden, the most amazing shower in the world under the open sky and the sauna. We highly recommend everything and will certainly be happy to come back! Thank you!

Lena's house (which includes two additional, small cottages, one comprising the bathroom and a bedroom, the other one comprising a separate bedroom) was the perfect spot to experience Stockholm's skärgården. The kitchen is very well equipped, however, what we liked most is the greenhouse that is located in the garden. It offered us a nice spot to eat outside without being instantly "eaten" by the mosquitos, especially at night. We also went to Stockholm for 2 day trips, and this is very well possible, which adds to the overall excellent experience that we had on Nämdö in Lena's house.

Linus was very accommodating and responsive. The accommodation was very cozy and clean. There was also a very nice garden. We had a great time and definitely recommend it!

Nice and fresh accommodation in a rural, quiet environment.

We were a company who had a nice weekend. The home is simple, clean linens and well-equipped kitchen for a weekend getaway. Close to grocery stores and nice surroundings. Hans was pleasant and communicative. The trees hanging over the road just outside the house would need to be cut down as we unfortunately got scratches on the car.

Incredible surroundings, nature and views! We hiked part of Sörmlandsleden and enjoyed the wood fire, sauna and sunset. An incredibly nice house, very peaceful! We probably misunderstood that the outdoor shower consisted of the heated water from the sauna heater that you had to pour over – i.e. there was no regular shower with pressure. Then some of the beds had some too thin mattresses – but despite that, we are incredibly happy with our stay and would love to come back again! Tip: have lunch at Karshamra Mat and Trädgård – incredibly good food! There were two other cozy cafes nearby as well, as well as local farms that sold honey, jams and eggs. Very idyllic, felt like we kids in Bullerbyn.

We spent a few wonderful days at Sara’s place - the little cottage is beautiful, very cozy, clean and even nicer than on the pictures. We really enjoyed our stay!

We loved staying at Anna's home. The house is beautiful, light and spacious. Very easy to find and convenient. We would love to come back and stay again in the future.

We spent 12 nights in Erin's accommodation. It was a wonderful stay. The proximity to the sea with the associated boathouse and sauna were unique. The large garden with fruit trees invites you to play extensively. Our two children loved it. The surroundings and nature offer many recreational opportunities. We can highly recommend the accommodation and would love to come back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Åse’s home! It was perfect for our family and Åse was a great host. The backyard/deck was perfect for these summer days. We are hoping to stay again in the future when we return to Sweden!

Thank you Mimmie for a wonderful stay. We spent a week in the house with 5 adults and 4 children, ranging from 9m to 11 years. It was so easy to get there by car, and by bus from slussen. Instructions for check in were clear, and easy. The area was fantastic- walkable restaurants, naturespots and swim spots, with others a short busride/drive away. We especially liked the nearby swim spots. The garden was peaceful, with a stunning view, the house beautiful and well equipped. Mimmie was responsive on messaging and very helpful. Cozy house from the 1800s in a very nice environment. Modern bathrooms and a kitchen that has most things. Grill and large table on the veranda. Huge plot with a fence around it, perfect if you have a dog. Nice area where you can also go down to the water. John and his dad were very friendly and helped when needed. Comfortable beds and good size of the bedrooms

We rented the house for the second time, now in the summer. If possible, even better then! Anette's house is a wonderful house with a nice garden, located on a nice island. We strongly recommend it!

Our family of 3 had a wonderful week. The house is quiet, spacious, and beautiful. Lake Mälaren was just a couple of minutes walk from the door. Our 9 year-old enjoyed the trampoline in the back garden, braving a swim from the private jetty, and regularly seeing deer and horses nearby. We also enjoyed the guitar, because we could play it outside with nobody close enough to be annoyed by it! For somewhere that feels remote, it was easy to drive to Stockholm (1 hour). There’s an old steamboat that picks up from another jetty less than 10 minutes walk from the house, which took us to the pretty town of Mariefred. We also had an afternoon in a canoe on another lake, about 40 mins away, which we’d highly recommend. (Search 'kanotkungen sedan 1975'.) Jennifer was the perfect host — generous and excellent at communication. She met us on arrival, showed us around the house, and shared lots of great tips for places to visit, things to do, and where to get great cakes and food.

We spent a few wonderful days in the house. It was quiet and the access to the sea was great. The children loved the trampoline and the playhouse. The kitchen is very well equipped and the living room is very cozy with a great view of the garden and the water. We will be happy to come back!

A beautiful and spacious house in a stunning location with panoramic views. A great place to relax and explore the area. The house is very well equipped for a family stay including a well stocked open plan kitchen where you can cook and entertain. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. Probably needs a car, at least in the winter, but it's also easy to get the bus to Stockholm from nearby.

A spacious and homely well equipped property in an ideal location. Perfect place to relax and immerse yourself in nature. Recommend for couples and families. Karolina’s is a great host and very helpful and responsive at all times… we definitely be coming back!
