Family-friendly holiday rentals in Stari Grad

If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would! This is the nicest airbnb we have ever stayed in! We did not want to leave. We were amazed that Mirko came to pick us up from the ferry port and dropped us off when we checked out, too (saving us 2 taxi rides!). He and Zrinka were so responsive and provided great local recommendations. They provided plenty of towels, including beach towels, and had everything in the kitchen that I would have at home. The walk into town was a 15- minute beautiful stroll along the coastline. It was close enough to the city center to get there walking, but far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. There's a market right down the street that worked great for getting breakfast and lunch supplies. We will definitely be staying here again when we come back to Hvar!

Our family’s stay at Žarko’s place in Rudina was incredible. We felt right at home during our two week stay. The town of Rudina is quaint and lovely and we felt very welcomed by the locals. With Stari Grad just a short drive down the hill, it was very easy to get to the market, bakery, or restaurants when desired while still enjoying the peace and quiet of the hills outside of town. Our children enjoyed many days and evenings playing in the beautiful gardens. Žarko and his family are lovely hosts and we will surely come back to visit again someday.

This space was really special for our stay on Hvar. The view of the sea is stunning from the two separate balconies and the hot tub. The apartment is tidy and modern, giving you walkable access to both the gown and nearby Pokonji Dol. Would love to stay here again!

Es war einfach nur schön! Das Apartment, die Aussicht, die Küste, der Garten - einfach alles! Dank Nebensaison waren wir fast alleine und haben die Zweisamkeit genossen. Ivan war super höflich und hilfsbereit! Das Sahnehäubchen war für uns der super süße schielende Kater, der auf einmal auftauchte. Nicht nur seinetwegen werden wir sicherlich nochmal wiederkommen!

This was one of our favourite stays in Croatia. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations. Spacious apartment, perfectly equipped, tastefully furnished and sparkling clean. Quietly located, with fantastic views of the sea. This accommodation is outstanding. Natali is a warm, helpful and reliable hostess. We hope that we can come back one day.

Die Unterkunft ist wirklich etwas besonderes. Eine tolle ruhige Lage, aber dennoch nah am Hafen/Ortsmitte/Strand um alles zu Fuß zu erreichen. Der Pool auf der Terrasse ist herrlich, und der Ausblick vom Balkon zum Festland jeden Morgen aufs Neue wunderschön. Frano ist ein herzlicher und wunderbarer Gastgeber, der sich ganz toll um seine Gäste kümmert.

A great place with a great view. Host was super helpful and responsive - even picked us up and took us back to the port!

My whole family was obsessed with this place. The adults loved the beautiful scenery and the peacefulness and the kids loved the hot tub and the swings. The house is adorable and very nice and the views were even better than the pictures. We loved meandering around Humac and being close to so many interesting small villages to explore. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat on the island of Hvar, you will be hard pressed to find something better than Mario’s place.

The location of the apartment was great. The privat parking in front of the house was very helpful for us. Everything was like in the description, for two people perfectly fine.

Margita’s place was great for us— very close to the main strip on Hvar town, but just far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. I spent 1 morning on the patio reading, and it was lovely. The washing machine works well. AC works well. Shower works well. I would recommend this place and I would stay again.

Very nice Airbnb ran by a lovely woman!! It was pretty central and worked very well for us. Would recommend!

A fabulous apartment which was perfect for us. Having your own beach shared with the other apartments was perfect. About 25 minute walk into Hvar. We had a lovely time - we are at the nearby pizzaria where the food and views were amazing. We visited mlini beach by water taxi which was great. The hotel next door does lovely coffee. Our favourite bar Falkos was about a 10 minute walk. So many restaurants in Hvar it’s hard to choose. Shop nearby with all basics. Nira is a great host and very responsive. Would recommend this place if you want a relaxing beach stay just outside of the busy town.

Martin was very quick to respond even if we booked the Airbnb late, in addition we were very well welcomed, the location and the apartment was perfect, with amazing view on the waterfront

It was a beautiful stay and closely located to gorgeous beaches and the port. Ivana was very responsive and friendly. The Air BnB was very spacious and had great facilities. The tea available was a lovely feature. I highly recommend this place for a memorable stay in Hvar 💛

Our stay at Mia’s place was great. Communication with Mia was excellent from the start, very responsive and helpful, which made planning our arrival super easy. We chose the self check-in option and it couldn’t have been more straightforward. Everything was clearly explained and went smoothly. The place was exactly as described, comfortable, well equipped and in a great location, with a beautiful view of the fortress. The island itself is beautiful. We’re already planning another trip and will be sure to stay at one of Mia’s places again. Thank you Mia 😇 James and Megan 🫶🏻

We really enjoyed our stay! The host was really friendly and gave us a lot of local recommendations, the room was nice and clean, and the view from the balcony was worth all the money!

Was a great place to stay and the pool was excellent. Really quick walk to the centre for supermarket, bars, cafes and restaurants so we liked the location. The place was clean and had all we needed. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had, we’d stay again.

Wir waren eine Gruppe von 9 Personen. die Lage ist traumhaf. sehr ruhig und man kann direkt von der Villa ins Meer. Das Haus war sehr sauber und hat so wie auf den Fotos ausgesehen. die Küche im Haus und auch die Aussenküche waren top ausgerüstet und hatten alles, was man braucht. der Grill und der Pizzaofen fanden wir super. das Haus ist etwas abseits gelegen. Restaurants hat es keine in der Nähe. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind aber genügend vorhanden und mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. das Haus ist perfekt für erholsame Ferien.

We had the most wonderful stay at villa bella. The photos do not do it justice, it has the most breathtaking views. It’s so well priced seeing as it has the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. The villa was completely spotless, spacious and so homely. We all really enjoyed our stay here. Filip is the most amazing host! I stayed with my grandparents, they arrived before me, Filip picked my grandparents up from the ferry and settled them in. He also went above and beyond, took them food shopping, helped them book taxis and the ferry back. He also met my husband and I at the ferry and helped us to a taxi. He was here early morning every morning to clean the pool. I was always asleep but my nan was normally up and she loved their little chats, she thinks he’s wonderful! He also brought croissants He is honestly so amazing and so kind and really goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect.

A estadia foi excelente! O Petar foi sempre muito amigável e prestável. O apartamento tinha tudo o que precisávamos para uma estadia, de vários dias, em Hvar. Perto do centro, mas numa zona calma, que permitia o melhor descanso. O espaço envolvente era muito agradável. Se algum dia voltarmos à ilha de Hvar, já sabemos onde ficar! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

we spent wonderful days at oxaland. it is an enchanting place and everything was just perfect, there is nothing we missed. oxa and her husband are wonderful people who do everything for the good of their guests. we can only recommend this magical place, the danger is - that we will come again! thank you oxa for everything!!! 100% top!! oliver and family

I had a great stay at Tom’s villa! It’s in a beautiful setting with incredible views of the Adriatic and the mountains in the distance, with a sparkling pool and vineyards in between - stunning! Shops and restaurants nearby were open during the first few days of my stay but closed down in early October. Plenty of great restaurants in Jelsa though which was still walking distance from the villa (3km). Tom had wine, and other drinks in the fridge and snacks on the table prior to checking which was so appreciated and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking (spices, oils, etc). Don’t hesitate, if you’re looking for a great villa in a perfect setting, book Villa Tomic!

Linda and Ivo’ place is beautiful and was perfect for our family of four. Linda and Ivo really fit the bill when it comes to being super hosts - nothing was too much trouble and we really appreciated their warm welcome. They went above and beyond to help us settle in and make sure we had what we needed. We came without a car and found getting around no problem - the bikes were very useful and the boats regular. Ivo’s help getting to and from the port with luggage was much appreciated. The kids loved Brac - snorkelling and windsurfing was a hit. Very sad to leave…!

Not even sure where to start. Jelena’s home is simply amazing. The setting, the location, the amenities, the proximity to Bol (walkable) were all top notch. We’ve stayed in countless vacation homes in many countries and this one is among the best!
