Cottage holiday rentals in Stamford

We stayed in Oak Cottage at Elms Farm Cottages and couldn’t have been happier with our choice. Carol was a fantastic host - very communicative, flexible and helpful and the cottage was perfect - very comfortable and with excellent amenities - all the small things taken care of. We would highly recommend staying here and would love to come back one day.

Me and my girlfriend had such an amazing time at this place. We’ve had something similar in the past but this one takes the cake. Very private and has an amazing view. Close to the road so sometimes you’ll hear people walking past and cars. But at night you can sit in the hot tub and enjoy looking at the stars. In our case we saw a shooting star while sat in the hot tub. I would 100% suggest this to friends and come again.!!!! Thank you

Check in was really simple and directions to find the place were spot on. Communication was excellent and we felt that we could contact the owners if we needed to. We had a lovely stay and would definitely consider stopping again if visiting the area in the future. The house smelt freshly cleaned when we arrived and was in a peaceful location. It was great to have a small selection of toiletries as well as coffee/tea provided - thank you. Bed linen and towels were clean and smelt lovely.

Lovely house and location, was ideal for all ages in the party. Amenities were very good and enjoyed using the hot tub. Slight problem finding the house when following the satnav but was able to contact the host quickly who gave perfect directions. would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

Cottage had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend with my daughter, was beautiful, homely, just so stunning surroundings. Information book had useful information of cottage and things to do in surrounding areas! Perfect location for our wellbeing day at the wellbeing barn, Belvoir castle & retail village easily reachable, not to mention amazing birthday evening meal at The Tap & Run. Looking fwd to returning soon.

Such a lovely and peaceful stay! The cottage was spotless, comfortable, and perfect for a quiet escape. Sanjay was a fantastic host—friendly, helpful, and always available if we needed anything. I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

Spent a weekend at the Anchor which was perfect for our group. The flexible sleeping arrangements made sure everyone was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for an easy stay. The remaining downstairs bar is a such a fun quirk to the building too. Our favourite was the roof terrace which was gorgeous in the sun, and also the projector in the downstairs offered a fun evening activity. Overall a great stay, would definitely book again.

It’s a perfect location for any activities planned in the city, close to the nightlife but private enough that you can get a good night’s sleep. The cottage was clean and well equipped for our stay!

The cottage is a great place for two. It is on a quiet no through lane with safe parking. The kitchen is well equipped for both longer and short stays with a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine and a good assortment of cooking pots and utensils. The bedroom is a reasonable size with plenty of storage. The bed is comfortable and the linen is of a good quality. The bathroom is small but has a good shower, toilet, hand basin and heated towel rail. Note: The stairs are exactly what is expected in a 200yr old cottage.... There is a small front garden with a table and chairs. Good to enjoy a meal if the weather permits. The local Cafe is great for breakfast or a light lunch. It is advisable to book, especially on weekends, as it is both popular and small Highly recommended accommodation in a quintessentially English village.

A wonderful stay at Marc’s place in Grafham. It’s a great location with local amenities and lovely places to walk. The lodge is surrounded by trees and really peaceful. We hope to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage. Kathryn was a great host, facilitating a very comfortable stay. Kathryn's communication from booking through to checking out was hugely appreciated. The cottage was idyllically situated with a very restful outlook. It was lovely to be able to sit outside, with a choice of the orchard or overlooking the paddock. The kitchen was probably the best equipped in a holiday home that we have ever experienced. The whole place was spotlessly clean & and the beds were very comfortable. The huge bath towels were luxuriously fluffy ! We could easily return & spend a week visiting even more attractions in the area & exploring the countryside.

Really fabulous accommodation. Perfect for a family getaway, private feel with a shop and pub a short walk away. A few miles to Rutland Water. Would definitely recommend.

I had a lovely stay at Victoria’s place. The kitchen space is bright and airy, the courtyard garden is peaceful, the bathroom is lovely, and the bed is comfy. The fans were a particularly welcome provision in the hot weather this week too! I had no problem parking outside the house and the location is really idyllic.

Beautiful apartment. Clean, tidy and spacious and I loved the little touch of the biscuits that were left for me. Would happily visit again

We loved our stay at the old forge. It had everything you could need inside and the garden was lovely. There are also plenty of great walks nearby which our dogs loved too including the nature reserve.

Hazelnut Cottage is a lovely place to stay in the historic village of Ashton. It is quiet and cozy and just steps from the local pub with great food. The resident peacocks and -hens are entertaining. Liz is a great host and we would definitely chose to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Hunky Dory Cottage! Stunning cottage, in a lovely location! Stephen and Jane were so responsive and had great communication! Would highly recommend!!

Fabulous stay, we were sent really comprehensive information about how to get there shared by email then text on the day we arrived , along with information on how to use the various bits of kitchen equipment. Bottle of prosecco, along with their own eggs and some milk, tea coffee oil vinegar and crisps! to get us going. Place was beautfiully furnished- beds very comfortable with high quality bedding which does make a difference. Stamford is very close and delightful with shops eateries etc and 10-15 mins from Rutland Water. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

Very cute cottage in traditional countryside setting. Opposite Coton Manor which looked v inviting. V well kept and clean. Off road parking and garden. one comfortable sized double and smaller double room v nicely decorated. Bit of a tight, steep staircase to be aware of (in keeping with the property's history).

It was a little oasis of peaceful tranquility. We were made very welcome and the breakfast basket with delicious homemade bread and marmalade together with milk and fresh orange juice was lovely gesture. It was an ideal base for us to catch up with friends and explore Rutland. We look forward to returning again.
