Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Stalida

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

We had a wonderful 10 day holiday at Stylianos Aliki Villa. The villa was perfect for 5 of us, plenty of room. The Air BnB description shows 3 bathrooms when there are only two which was not an issue for us and Stylianos has said he will get that sorted. The Pool and seating areas around the villa were beautiful. The Villa is in a quiet location but within easy walking distance (10 mins) to the beach, plenty of bars, restaurants and local super markets. Stylianos and his family were very responsive and quickly sorted a couple of issues we had. He also sorted getting some supplies we requested for us for when we arrived. We would definitely recommend Stylianos and his Villa and will definitely come back again. Thank you our great holiday

The place is exactly like in the photos and Anna is a great host! We had a great time staying there for our girls trip. The place is 5-7 min by foot to the sea and nearest beach & restaurants. Anna was always very kind and responsive when we needed to reach out to her for any questions. I recommend this place to everyone and will stay there again the next time I’m in Crete.

Lovely place to stay and well set up - we had a very comfortable couple of days Fabulous to be welcomed with fresh produce most of which was home grown in the fridge and a bottle of wine as well as oils and vinegar and tea and coffee Would definitely stay there again

The home was so peaceful, quiet, and super close to Knossos. We appreciated being able to walk over right when it opened to beat the crowds. Nikoleta was super communicative and we had no trouble finding the house. I only wish we could have stayed longer - their house is truly magical!

It was all perfect!! The apartment is bigger than it looks in the pictures. Everything is very, very clean and lovingly furnished. There's nothing missing! The balconies are great, I enjoyed lying on the lounger in the sun and looking at the trees. No one can look up at the balcony by the bedroom, you really have your peace here. Just a few minutes' walk and you are already in the lively old town. Nevertheless, you have your peace and quiet here. I was able to sleep well and the bed was very comfortable. You have everything you need here and I immediately felt very comfortable. The hosts are very pleasant and warm. I love Crete and especially Malia and can also recommend this accommodation without restriction. There is also parking is available right in front of the house. Price and performance is excellent!! This property is on the top of our list of all of the Super-host level properties we’ve been at whether Air B&B or any other platform. Premium quality and high marks for design aesthetics promoting maximum relaxation inside or in the yard with breathtaking views all day long and spectacular sunsets. All meals at the property must be had out doors! It was a perfect retreat after long days of sightseeing. We would rent it again in a heartbeat and will recommend it to family. John & Autumn

We can only agree with the many positive reviews. We had a great time in the beautiful mountain village – it was a special experience. Every morning we had breakfast on the roof terrace and enjoyed the tranquility. At first we thought the sea would be missing, but that wasn't the case at all. We really came to rest – walks in the area were enough for that. Actually, we planned to do more, but we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere so much that we took it easy. Nevertheless, we were traveling by car and made some nice excursions, including to the coast, where we discovered great restaurants. A vacation that will stay with us in very good memory. Place is right next to a pedestrian walk with lots of nightlife. (But far enough away that there are no noise issues.

Giorgio’s place was beautiful and well maintained. He was always very responsive (Ben when we locked ourselves out) and gave us recommendations for the local super market and an AMAZING place for dinner. The home was very comfortable with a beautiful sea view and had everything we needed.

We had a very nice week in the apartment with our children of 4 and 6 years old. The apartment was as shown in the photos of the advertisement! Clean, tidy, spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 children. Balcony on the small side with four people, but that did not bother us. We had regular contact with Magdalena, she always responded very helpfully and extremely quickly (within 5 minutes). That was very pleasant! She also arranged a taxi from the airport to the apartment and back for us at the end of the week. There is plenty to do for the children in the area, all within walking distance: the small swimming pool, beach/boulevard, CretAquarium, Dinosaur park. I would definitely recommend the apartment! Furthermore, we found the area to be a bit outdated (although there is a lot of new construction coming!) and not very lively. We were out of the holiday season.

we stayed here for 7 days. It is a cozy apartment, really clean. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were very spacious. Great location, near to the beach, street of shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend it.

Kostas and Maria's Gonies Taverna and Appartments are amongst the best and most special places we have ever stayed, both in Crete and elsewhere in Europe. The situation in the mountains, just below the Lasithi Plateau is idyllic, very quiet with just the sound of mountain goats but also on a good road and in a beautiful garden full of bird sound. Kostas and Maria were wonderful generous hosts, the spacious appartment full of personal touches and breakfast (and supper) in their taverna delicious. We stayed 3 nights and would love to come back

The place is as described on the site. Clean, cosy, quiet and exactly where you need it to be. 5min walk from the central Heraklion lion fountain. We were very happy with everything!!

Maria is a wonderful host. I enjoyed her place, the area and the culture of Crete. I will definitely be coming back.

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

The apartment is very pleasant : clean, modern, spacious and perfectly equipped. The small balcony and roof terrace are a real plus and add to the apartment's charm. Erietta and Manolis provide numerous recommendations for discovering Heraklion and its best addresses, which is particularly appreciated. Very responsive and attentive, they ensure that everything runs smoothly. An excellent experience, which I recommend without hesitation!

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.
