This is my beach home that I rent out when I am not staying myself. It is very well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen It is approximately 200 yards from the beach (a three minute walk to the walkway over the dunes to the beach) The beaches are not crowded and have been rated the second best beaches in the US. St. Great for families and couples. This is a pet friendly home and the beach is pet friendly.
“My wife and I made the trip to this airbnb looking for a little peace and quiet...that is exactly what this place offered. The house was fully furnished and the amenities were as described/expected. The openness of the common area (living room, kitchen/dining island) would make for a great gathering area, not to mention the spacious back porch off the back of the living room. The house is nestled just west of the shopping/dining district on St. George, and you can easily walk to the shopping district, or the beach from the house. Communication with the homeowner and maintenance was easy, as was check-in and check-out. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our time resting and relaxing.”
This apartment is connected to my main home here in Eastpoint, FL: The Gateway to SGI! It is situated in the center of Franklin County which makes it an ideal spot to visit Apalachicola, St. George Island, or Carrabelle. This property is located 6 miles from the main public beach on SGI, almost a straight shot across the bridge. I am happy to welcome all guests to my own little Taradise on "The Forgotten Coast"!
“The house was extremely clean and had nice amenities. The only two points that I think are worth noting are that the bed isn’t extremely quiet. I move around a lot when I sleep, and the bed squeaked a decent amount, and make sure you turn the porch lights on if you’re going to be back in after dark. There aren’t street lights, and it was pretty dark the first night I returned to the property. I would definitely stay again, this is probably the cleanest Air BNB I’ve ever stayed in.”
The drive across the causeway to St George Island is indescribably breathtaking. With each passing second, the pressures of the outside world just melt away. The house features one private queen room with a full private bath, along with two other bedrooms (one a queen, the other a full with two twin loft beds overhead) with a shared full bath between them. Downstairs, there is a laundry room with a 3rd shower. The house is set up for a maximum of 6 adults. No guests over 12 on the top bunks.
“We loved Morning Dew - the house, the pool, the location - actually pretty much everything about it. Jeff takes excellent care of it and it shows. Some might call it modest but we had everything we needed and were very comfortable. There are lots of pool/beach toys and even a wagon to haul things to the beach, which is a short walk around the block (use the 10th St. public access to the beach if you bring the wagon). The washer/dryer was handy, lots of pots and pans in the kitchen, just about everything you might need, even a wok. We cooked some good meals there - maybe the best crab fried rice I've ever made (thanks to Island View seafood for the crab). The kitchen/eating area/living area is spacious with a large dining table and plenty of room to spread out. We'd forgotten how dark it is on SGI, which is great for star gazing, sleeping and sea turtles, but it's really dark! There is motion-sensor lighting outside on stairs, pool and deck, though, and other lighting under the house as well. We enjoyed the pool and were happy to lounge around it in the afternoon, watching tiny lizards run along the fence. Jeff is an excellent host - communication was easy and timely and the property is well cared for - everything worked well and we enjoyed every minute. His suggestions are spot on, too - we enjoyed Paddy's very much and now I'm making that baked potato salad they serve there - great with steamed shrimp. Eastpoint Brewing was another good find; they opened about 9 months ago and they have a great little spot overlooking the bay to enjoy their beer. In short, go, enjoy, eat, walk on the beach, laze by the pool. It was heaven.”
