Cottage holiday rentals in Southgate

We had an amazing stay at the cottage. The house was just perfect, the hot tub was divine and the only neighbours we saw were the 2 lovely horses, Saffy and Angel.

If you're looking for a place to stay in South Wales, this is the one! Margaret is a great host, very responsive and lovely! We had our privacy for the whole trip and the house and the surroundings are beautiful! There was rose prosecco, Welsh cakes and chocolates on arrival, everything was pristine and the bathroom was huge with a walk in wardrobe attached. There was so much land for my crazy spaniel to have a good run, he absolutely loved it on his first holiday. The evenings were peaceful with the log burner on under a thousand stars. 5*, thank you Margaret!

A wonderful warm welcome awaits in this picturesque corner of wales. Beautiful rolling countryside and utter peaceful surroundings. A lovely break away from it all where nothing is too much trouble for the host to ensure you have a great stay!

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay! The locations was brilliant so peaceful and private. Our dog also loved the accommodation she loves a fire place and this one did not disappoint! So grateful to have stayed in such a lively home and have such lovely and friendly hosts 😁

We booked this air bnb last minute after our previous air bnb booking fell through, and staying here was such an upgrade! The outside space is amazing, we loved sitting out in our private seating area, the shared dining area and the hot tub. The surroundings of the Gower are of course lovely and Adam had made very helpful guides of the local area. I would absolutely recommend staying here, it felt like such a privilege.

We had a fabulous time here Phil and Debbie are very friendly and extremely accommodating the grand children loved seeing the lambs and giving Galahad the ram cuddles, the place is very spacious and clean, big garden and patio area, hot tub was great, with stunning views n walks all around totally loved it and would definitely rebook

We have just arrived home from our beautiful stay at beili glas cottage. An absolutely stunning location and service, peter and lydia communicated extremely well and even got a slightly earlier check in. Very peaceful and couldn't have asked for more. Looking forward to our next stay.

It’s a simple holiday retreat, comfortable, economical and a perfect base for the amazing South Gower coastline. We were blessed with exceptional blue skies for 5 days. A brilliant family break with dog for us and Richard was always at hand, flexible and generous. Great memories made. Thanks Richard.

lovely comfy cottage has everything you need. Very clean throughout with a well equipped kitchen. The garden is a sun trap with ample seating. Just a 5 minute walk and you're at the shops restaurants and the beach. Excellent location and will definitely go back again. 😊

We had a really lovely stay at the gower cottages. The cottage was fantastic, beautifully decorated with everything we could need- including the lovely shared garden. The location was perfect- very close to Port Eynon, Rhossili and Oxwich beaches. Would thoroughly recommend and will stay again next time we come to the gower. Thanks so much.

We had a fab stay at Hideaway! Everything was spotless clean, exactly as described and the dogs loved roaming around in a completely closed off garden - the front gate gives extra peace of mind they won’t escape. The place was beautifully decorated and perfect location situated between Swansea and Llanelli. Loads of walks around the local area and a fab dog friendly pub a 10 min walk away. The huge hamper of goodies on arrival was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay!

Stunning location. So peaceful. Great place to relax and unwind. Very friendly and helpful staff. The welcome basket was a lovely touch! All four of us and the dog absolutely loved staying here and we will definitely be back.

Danielle's cottage was very clean and spacious with a small private courtyard at the back. The cottage has everything you could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The TVs and heating controls were all very easy to use. The location was great, just behind the high street, there was a bakery around the corner with several cafes, shops, takeaways and pubs all within easy walking distance. Dinefwr park is well worth a visit for the castle ruins and the scenery, and the main entrance is just a 20 minute walk away (or 5 min drive).

Had lovely couple of days with friends at Limetree Cottage. It is a stones throw from Port Eynon beach with great walks on the doorstep. The cottage is clean and well equipped. Lee is a good host - good communications and lovely goodies waiting on arrival (TY ❤️). Also, it would be remiss not to mention Gower Gin tasting just up the hill - which was fab!

Lovely clean spacious with great choice of bed linen. Soak and sleep white cotton. Comfortable beds. Great shower downstairs. I didn’t use the upstairs one to say. Well stocked kitchen Lovely coffee machine Peaceful with good outdoor space.

Daffodil cottage is a fantastic place to stay in. It is well maintained with everything you need. It is in a lovely village and so close to the pubs. I would recommend a stay here to a couple as the unit is perfect for 2 people. We loved our time in the area and our stay at Daffodil cottage.

Sarona's accomodation was exactly as expected from the pictures, tucked away in a very tranquil and beautiful part of the Gower. My husband and I took our bikes for cycling, yet I would say it is for the more experienced cyclist as quite hilly. If wanting to dine out or experience the town, a car will definitely be required, as there is only one small local convenience store and post office within a standard cycle range. I only have a few feedback points to raise to the hosts about our stay is that we did notice an issue charging our electric toothbrush in the bathroom mirror socket, I feel it may need some maintenance. It was great to see recycle bins in the kitchen, yet as we were not familiar with the recycling system in Wales, I would recommend some signs to indicate what rubbish the bins take. Also very limited TV viewing if staying in for the night, so some updated DVDs or Freeview would be a bonus. Overall a good stay for our requirements, and we would stay again. Thanks x

Fabulous accommodation - beautifully clean, very well equipped, comfortable and a 2 minute walk to the beach. The garden opening out from the lounge and kitchen was a real blessing. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were fabulous. We had such a lovely time - great walks in both directions and Port Eynon is a beautiful beach. Thank you Debbie and Dean x

Responsive & friendly host, very secure & convenient location, interior considerably better than as appears in the photos - great all around.

We had a great stay at The Croft. The place itself is extremely cozy and has all the amenities you might need, including some breakfast. Both Sally and Graham made us feel very welcome. We'll definitely try to come back if we can! And if you get the chance, we can't recommend the pottery lesson enough, it was a lot of fun!

It was the best getaway me and my family have been on , it’s suitable for all ages and felt just like home

The hosts were excellent, could not be more helpful and gave access to the farm where the cottage is located. Just follow normal countryside rules. Do not disturb the animals, if you open a gate then close it behind you...etc. Great Welsh Escapes were also very helpful and friendly. The property had everything as described. A great collection of books describing the area, the history and sights to visit.
