Holiday rentals with a kayak in South Norfolk District

An absolute gem of a place. Tucked away but right in the heart of Cromer with an outstanding view of the sea. The cottage is very sweet with some charming touches like the round portal windows to the wooden shutters. A little rustic, and perfectly equipped, and the small courtyard is a sun trap, as well as being secure so we could safely let him outside. The location could not be beat, and with the added advantage of parking, everything was perfect. We will be recommending this place to friends and family if they're ever in the area.

We had a lovely stay in the Old Surgery in Holt. This is a fantastically located property being only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Holt, with off-street parking but still appeared private and close to the countryside. It was also ideal to take our dog for walks straight from the house. The property has plenty of character and while it can be a bit quirky, once we got used to the layout it had everything we needed for our stay and is close to all the local amenities and beaches. Stephen was an excellent host, being very responsive and welcoming and able to help with anything we needed. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Holt.

The house was absolutely lovely. Gorgeous inside and out, and very comfortable to live in. The village is very quiet, but it's only a short drive into Colchester, where you can find tons of things to do. Chris was a great host who made check in easy and made us feel very welcome in his home. Would definitely stay again!

Wow, wow wow.......What a fantastic place to stay. It felt roomy, comfortably, clean & bright. Everything was modern and the access at the rear of the garden was excellent for kayaking, boating & fishing. Hot tub, pool table and fire pit was a plus. Can highly recommend the White Horse Inn which was a 2 minute walk away in the small village.

We stayed at this lovely home in Hindolveston as an extended family of 13 for two nights. From the moment we booked, the hosts Mark and Jo were so kind and friendly and great with any questions or queries we had. The house was the perfect place for us to come together - spacious, warm, and incredibly comfortable. It was beautifully equipped with everything we could possibly need, which made it feel like a real home-from-home. The large garden was a particular highlight. Our children and nephew spent hours outside playing with the garden games so thoughtfully provided by the hosts. The whole stay felt easy and welcoming, and we’re so grateful to have found such a peaceful and comforting space to be together as a family. We would absolutely love to return in the future. Thank you again for such a memorable stay.

our stay was amazing! Cullums place was spotless and so big! 6 of us stayed for a work do.. and we decided to come back early as we loved the place so much. 10mins from Norwich and Cullum was the perfect host.

I booked to stay at the Mendham Mill with my family over the bank holiday weekend and it was the best decision. The mill is a beautiful tranquil retreat and we felt so at home. I would say it looks even more beautiful in person than the photos on the listing. The surrounding gardens are so amazingly looked after and I was constantly looking out the windows or walking along the river spotting all kinds of wildlife. The Mill house itself has been done up really well and had all the amenities you could need. The kitchen was really well kitted out too. I absolutely loved spending the weekend here and we are already talking about our next visit.

A well equipped, very comfortable house in a great location. A great layout for a family gathering and lovely outside grounds which were secure for the dog. A beautiful, secluded location which was very peaceful with the added bonus of a hot tub. The host was very responsive and was always available if needed.

Highly recommend for a peaceful break. Watching the stars in the hot tub with an owl flying over was particularly magical.

Fabulous cottage in a great location near Blakeney Quay, 5 mins from great cafes and restaurants and walks. Garden is a regular suntrap all day. Would definitely recommend for a stay in Blakeney.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at Klaus and Heather's cottage. We were greeted warmly by Heather who showed us around and ensured we had everything we needed and more. There were some lovely welcome touches waiting for us which was just so thoughtful. The cottage and outside area are beautiful. We got out and about for some great walks and meals (there's plenty nearby as well as being able to enjoy the secluded countryside setting) but were just as happy relaxing inside with some games by the fire. Would 10/10 recommend and would love to return, thank you for having us!

We had an amazing stay. The outside space is particularly impressive and we had a great time paddleboarding from the bottom of the garden. Absolute bliss!

As a family of four, this lovely cottage was perfect! Amelia was very helpful and answered questions quickly, and even had the place ready a bit earlier for us. There was a lovely basket of goodies on arrival, and plenty of parking for 3 cars. The cottage itself was spotless and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The log fire was an absolute bonus! Location was also fantastic - completely peaceful and only a few minutes drive from the seaside town of Cromer - plenty of restaurants, arcades, a pier and just a lovely seaside town. (I do recommend the Kanton Chinese takeway - the girl working there was super helpful and the food was delicious). Would definitely stay again !

Stayed here in 2020 and when I found it available for Easter I had to book it again. We had the most peaceful and relaxing time. Made use of the back patio area and the jetty area and went out on the dingy on the lake. Evenings were magical with the fire and the candles. Went to the fish and chip shop twice - very much recommend. We never have this takeaway at home but here the quality is so good. The place is equipped with everything you will need and the welcome pack was really appreciated. If you are looking for somewhere off grid you will not be disappointed.

We love The Orchard cottage, this was our second stay. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, it’s an absolute pleasure to stay here. We love everything about it, it was particularly beautiful this time with lovely weather. We enjoyed relaxing in The Orchard, cooling off at the pool and wandering around the gardens and estate.

The property is excellent and it was such a shame we couldn't stay longer. It was peaceful, relaxing, and a great setting. The property itself is spacious, clean, and well laid-out. The garden is also a big positive, with plenty of space and habitats. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again

We booked a last-minute getaway and it ended up being beyond our expectations. Mark was a fantastic host, so welcoming and attentive, and he really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The location is absolutely gorgeous, exactly as described, and incredibly peaceful. The place was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and had everything we needed. Mark was also full of great local recommendations, from restaurants to takeaways. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer, but we’ll definitely be back!

This stay was one of our favourite mini-breaks yet! Mark and Stacey's place was the perfect location for our short family getaway. We felt right at home; there were plenty of activities for our kids to enjoy. The local village of Long Melford was only a short cycle away (and of course, Mark had bikes ready for us) - there was literally nothing more Mark could have done for us, and we'll definitely be returning!

Wow what a beautiful place to stay. Mark was such a kind helpful man who really went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The accommodation is stunning extremely well made. We felt relaxed and really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. There are beautiful places to visit in the area. Lots of nice long walks for my dogs. We will be back soon.
