What a wonderful place. Location was beautiful and so peaceful. It was just like coming home everything that was needed was supplied. Yvonne our host was so pleasant and helpful. The fresh cows milk was SOOOOO! GOOD

Such a great place. Cupboards had essentials in and Val left us milk. 2 dressing gowns provided which I thought was lovely. Toiletries in bathroom. Great location , great host and great price!

great stay at Carolyns place. quiet, peaceful with stunning views. Carolyn went above and beyond to assist with my requests. kids beds are for small kids so check beforehand as our 9 year old just fit the bottom bunk. we had a nice meal at the local pub and really enjoyed it. great getaway highly recommended.

Our stay at Kerry and Sarah's property was absolutely perfect! It had everything we needed, was incredibly tidy, and felt very comfortable. The beautiful views of the countryside were a huge bonus, and the location was ideal for exploring Bristol, Bath, and local Somerset attractions. Kerry and Sarah were wonderful hosts – very friendly and responsive whenever we had a question. We would highly recommend their place.

Perfect private accommodation next to hosts own occupied farmhouse (with own private secluded garden) which we enjoyed immensely with late afternoon sunshine until dusk listening to newly arrived lambs and odd moo from livestock residing behind hedge.Everything you would like to enjoy on holiday was supplied. If anything is amiss Louise and Steve assured us they would supply. We were greeted with a ‘welcome tray’ laden with emergency essentials- fresh ground coffee, orange juice, biscuits, milk - a great touch, thank you.The upside down layout we found ideal as it was very hot weather. Upstairs comfortable in living accommodation with windows open and better downstairs later in evening on cool tiled floors and bedrooms which we enjoyed a very peaceful, restful nights sleep.The instructions folder we found very informative with everything supplied for your use to grocery stores/restaurants (with £ guide and * reviews) walks and ‘ must do’ attractions. We will be back next year😃

My wife and I stayed here for a portion of an overall longer trip. This was by far our favorite stay. A beautiful place just as described, with easy access to the surrounding community. We will be back if we get the chance.

Carthorse Barn is just simply stunning ! So spacious and beautifully decorated, we felt right at home . The day we arrived weather was not the greatest so having a wood stove was blissful. The cottage is very spacious and has everything needed for a comfortable stay , kitchen is fully equipped, downstairs toilet a welcomed bonus. Upstairs both bedrooms are immaculate, spacious and have very comfy beds . I loved the window bench in the kids bedroom, such a wonderful nook to relax. The main bedroom has the biggest and comfiest bed I have ever seen , such a beautiful wooden headboard too. I loved the free standing bath. The farm is also lovely and we enjoyed going to see the pigs and walking round the lakes.

Great place to stay. I loved the style and how it was decorated. Really clean open space. Everything you need for a night or a week. Walking distance of town, close to some lovely pubs (one of which is right across the road). Lii ok belt few walks close by too. We even managed a walk up the towpath of the canal. Couldn’t have asked for more!

Our 3rd time at the Old Stables. Great location, great home and great hosts! Already booked back in for our 4th visit. Would highly recommend this property, over any others in the area, a beautiful peaceful outlook and a warm and comfortable home. Thanks Gillian & Martin

Can’t thank Catherine enough. Incredibly helpful from booking the stay until we left. It’s a beautiful cosy barn, very peaceful indeed and we slept like babies. Catherine had thought of everything and we even had a welcome hamper with lovely bits x Really easy quick walks to the cheddar gorge. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment! It was exactly as described—clean, stylish, and very comfortable. Everything we needed was provided, making it feel like a true home away from home. The location was also perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. Communication with the host was smooth and friendly, and check-in was a breeze. We really appreciated the thoughtful touches and cosy atmosphere.

Perfect for what we needed it for - we had a wedding to attend in Stroud. Joanna was super helpful and flexible to allow us a slightly earlier check in to enable us to get ready and be on time. Joanna was super friendly to us and our dog. Really helpful.

We had a lovely few days here, Tom was very friendly and helpful. Loved all the animals, my daughter absolutely loved the dogs and is missing them already! Great location for visiting Bath and Bristol.

The barn is beautiful, and finished to a very high standard. There is everything you need to make your stay very comfortable and the location is perfect, with beautiful countryside on your doorstep. Claire and Ian arelovely hosts, friendly, on hand if you needed anything, but providing you privacy to relax and enjoy. Highly recommend this gem!

After 5 days in the hustle and bustle of London - this was a great retreat to rejuvenate and reflect on our time in the UK. Hot tub was a bonus!! Cottage was as described and is great for three couples or a large family. Highly recommend a car rental for this location - as it is out in the country. Uber is an option - but may have to wait a bit - plan ahead. Would definitely stay here again when looking for a relaxing retreat. Thank you Mia.
