Loft holiday rentals in South Asia

I choose this place specifically because of my internship at Grameen Bank and the positive ratings. What I can tell other people who have never visited Bangladesh is, Trust the process if you're still unsure about these accommodations. I was first uncertain about what to pack and how much preparation I should have. Before I made this reservation, we had developed excellent communication and had spoken on the phone and via messenger for more than a month. I had problems with the sim card when I first got to Bangladesh, but Roman was kind enough to let me use his phone and willing to solve the problem with me. I lived in three different countries while growing up and have traveled frequently, and when I visit a new country, it’s significant to have a guardian as much as a comfortable home to stay in who is knowledgeable about local regions and cultures. Since I don't speak Bengali, his stepdaughters often accompany me whenever I go out. I got to know his daughter well and loved every second of our conversations. He helped me drop me off at the Grameen bank office on the first day and spoke to my supervisor. Roman’s wife, Shilpi cooks the best Khichuri and Chicken Polao. I still didn’t give up on convincing her to open her restaurant or publish her recipe books. We decided to have lunch together every day because I absolutely love her cooking. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and the family and friends I met in this country. I did not imagine this level of hospitality and kindness before arriving. I would be happy to speak with anyone who is reading this and is still unsure about this accommodation to clear up any concerns. Again, I want to thank Roman for his dedication and effort to make my stay the best it could be.

We (6 Adults and 2 kids) stayed at Jose's place for 2 nights. He received us personally and accommodated all our requests w.r.t food preferences, visit to nearby places, suggestions etc. graciously. His property is very well constructed with thoughtful designs particularly in the dining area, washrooms and beds. The property is on a beautiful hill top and has another one coming up next to it as well shortly. He gave personal attention and his caretaker, cook are excellent too. They prepared great authentic Kerala cuisine that was mouthwatering. The food was reasonably priced and worth every rupee. We couldn't however visit the pond since the trek was difficult for kids and elderly. But we loved the place and hope to visit again in future.

We had a great stay at Ali's & Rita's for 5 nights. The location is perfect in Vagator, everything is nearby. Loved the rooms, with a balcony to chill. They have a restaurant, and specializes in North African, French and Thai cuisine. And must say, the food was great! Ali & Rita has been responsive, and been a great host. Will surely come back!

The place is like the pictures. One thing to remember is there is no elevator so you are going up and down quite a lot of stairs and the stairs are quite narrow. The beach is nice and there are lots of places to eat near by. Karan is very responsive and friendly. I messaged him at 3am and he replied very fast. We only stayed a night before our transfer to the a different island but it was good for our needs.

Super amazing place to be when you need to need peace and nature in a city like Delhi, it’s the best place to be and everything is super close by. Great restaurants, historic places, groceries everything you need is just around you. Not far from airport or the centre of Delhi.

Great host one of the best view of shimla from the property and best in class facility and best and a 5star class like rooms and stay. We had a great time and enjoyed alot

Thilan’s place is beyond my expectation! It is located at a quiet village, only 7 to 8 mins Tuktuk from the beach. The room is spacious and super clean, with all necessary amenities! Thilan and Buddhi were really helpful. You can easily go to restaurants nearby or at the beach by messaging Buddhi and let him take you. Highly recommended this place if you want to have a quality stay while enjoying the beach at Hikkaduwa.

Had an amazing stay with my family! The place was spotless, well-maintained, and truly felt like a home away from home. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making our experience even more special. Highly recommend this wonderful Airbnb!

The place is gorgeous, and absolutely worth the hype. The pool table, the card games and the theatre added to the fun for sure. The communication was easy and cleanliness was top notch. The hosts are extremely accommodating and available to your aid.

I had a very good stay at Jacky's place. The room was quite large with a full functioning kitchen and living room. The bathroom is large as well, hosting a convenient washing machine . The shower had excellent water pressure with an inline water Hester that you control for instant warmth water. The property is unique in that it has a full size 25m swimming pool with multiple lanes. Being a swimmer, this was a big factor in my stay. The location is a little remote and sits on top of mountain. There is supermarket less than 800m away, but may be a challenge for some walking up and down the mountain. Most of the restaurants and places you'll want to visit are a few km's away. Expect to use Uber regularly or rent a motorbike onsight from Jacky, which I did. Overall, I was pleased. The location fit my needs as I was visiting a friend who lived nearby. The location may or may not suit your needs. I found the value to be very good for the area. I would stay here again.

I had a great stay at Trilokbeer’s place in Kathmandu! The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. Trilokbeer was a kind and attentive host, always ready to assist and share local insights. The location was ideal—close to key spots yet peaceful. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kathmandu!

Great place to stay with family and friends, really worth every penny of it.... The house was designed with great amenities and interior the penthouse was fabulous.

From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by how stylish, clean, and well-designed the space was. The attention to detail in the decor made it feel both modern and cozy, and everything was thoughtfully arranged to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The location was perfect—convenient, safe, and close to all the best spots in the area. Whether I wanted to explore the city or just relax indoors, this apartment had everything I needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the natural lighting made the space feel even more inviting. The host was fantastic—responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Very serene location with a view of the Ranka Hills. The listing is more spacious and beautiful than it appears in the photos, with ample space for kids to play. Dr. Sudeep is a very responsive and helpful host—he went out of his way to assist us with any issues and also helped extend our stay at very reasonable charges. The kitchen had all the essentials, and grocery shops are located just downstairs. Shared cabs to MG Road are available just downstairs and one doesn't have to wait more than 2-3 minutes to get one. The internet is very fast and stable, I could comfortably do WFH, just remember to connect to 4th floor router instead of 'AR Apartment' (located on 2nd floor)

We travelled for a month, and this was the last stay in Sri Lanka. We stayed various places, and I can tell that Pradeep's place was one of the most valuable place to spend longer time. Everything was just right. Room and bathroom were clean, and everything which is posted are there for you. Host and his family help you out all the time. It is a bit away from the city centre, but very calm and nice place without any disturbances. You also could rent a scooter from Pradeep. We rented many scooters during the trip, and this was the lowest price to rent it. We drove scooter, and could easily get Hikkaduwa, Unawatuna, and Galle Fort. He also asked his father to help us to get the Galle Railway Station on the day we checked-out. Thank you Pradeep, and the ice-cream cone was the best ever 👍🏼

We stayed here in November 2024. Both the Owner Sailik and the manager Joydeep are very helpful and friendly. They were ready to help and the apartment was very clean with good privacy. The main roads are outside the housing block and therefore it was comfortable to sleep with less noise . There is a big balcony to dry clothes etc. The balcony can be improved and made attractive with green plants and flowering pots. In the bath room, at present there is no fast flow of water on the floor, which needs to be improved. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay very much. I will recommend this to all who like to have more than just a hotel room. GS Road is very close and one can get bus from there to any place.

Had an incredible stay…the place is as described on the listing…market is 5 minutes walk..Lizia is a great host and was very accommodating with respect to our early check in request..it was like a home away from home…thoroughly enjoyed our stay

**5-Star Airbnb Review** I’m delighted with my stay at this wonderful Airbnb loft near the Botanical Garden. The modern, spacious loft is surrounded by tall trees, with tropical birds visible through the windows, offering a tranquil escape. The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean, and the kitchenette was thoughtfully stocked with tea, sugar, milk, water, and snacks. The pathway feels a touch rural but is easily reachable by tuk-tuk from the city. The balcony was perfect for unwinding in the evenings. Highly recommend, and we’d love to come back!
