We had a wonderful stay at Villa Despina! The location is fantastically quiet, perfect for relaxing, and at the same time a good base for exploring the south of Crete. The villa itself is very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped – from the kitchen to the beautiful outdoor area with pool, everything was well maintained. We particularly liked the warm hospitality and the little touches when we arrived. We felt right at home! A real highlight: the fantastic view of the surrounding nature and the sunsets in the evening. We will be happy to come back and can recommend Villa Despina to anyone looking for peace, comfort and Cretan warmth. Thank you for everything!

Atypical place, very quiet and relaxing. Pool to share, very pleasant when returning from the beach or hiking.

A great ,spacious, quirky botique 3 bedroom apartment in the heart of the old city of Chania. Very clean with all the amenities, large comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. The good wifi and a washing machine were crucial for us. Best of all is the location which is on a lovely, narrow pedestrian cobblestone street in the old town. Restaurants galore and a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous harbor area. Of the 3 Crete cities ,Chania Rithymno, and Herakliona, Chania was the most beautiful and well kept. The best of the 3 to use as a base(We did day trips to the other two towns.) Gannis was abroad, but his friend Christina was so nice, and helpful .She met us where we parked the car and led us through the old town to the apartment.

I highly recommend it specially for couples with dog . Best time worth any penny

The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place was super clean and everything well maintained. Just felt right at home with an amazing view, great beds and a beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Simply stunning apartment, glorious views and easy access to the little village of Kalyves. We spent most days by the pool and evenings eating at the many restaurants by the beach. The apartment is beautiful and well equipped, the views from the living room are stunning. Eleni is an attentive and very responsive host who looked after us extremely well. We will be back very soon!

Great place directly opposite the beach - fantastic if you have toddlers like us. We ended up having dinner at the restaurant next door every day because the kids could play out there while we ate. If you want to visit the most beautiful beaches on Crete, this west coast location is great (though it should be noted that the beach near the house is actually facing north, which means it is thankfully not frequented by tourists). The host is very friendly and willing to help with any issues. The airbnb was very well equipped and prepared for our visit (including items we would not ordinarily expect like fruit, cake, and even a dinner on the first night - though we obviously knew about it based on previous reviews). We would come back here in a heartbeat!

Great value for money ratio, the apartment is close to everything in Chania, so it was very easy for us to get around. The place is well equipped and the breakfast treats was a sweet gesture from Maria and Georgios. The apartment itself is very small, but the big patio outside makes up for it.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Villa Elias. The villa is stunning — spacious, spotless, and beautifully located with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing getaway. What really made our stay exceptional was Petros. He was incredibly attentive and kind, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. From thoughtful touches to helpful local tips, his care truly made us feel at home. This was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve ever had, and we can’t recommend Villa Elias (and Petros!) highly enough. We’re already dreaming of coming back.

We had a wonderful, peaceful & relaxing week in this beautiful house. Amazing location, stylish, spacious, comfortable & very well-equipped. It’s 3 minutes from the small town of Sellia (3 or 4 nice traditional restaurants & small but useful supermarket), 10 minutes from the bigger (seaside town) of Plakias (many restaurants, 2 big supermarkets, butcher & baker), yet out on its own: utterly quiet & private and with beautiful, uninterrupted views of the sea. Cordula - who created this fabulous place, from ground up & with incredible attention to detail, is a perfect host. She couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful: at all stages proactive, quick & very clear communication and always concerned about our convenience & comfort. Our flight time meant we didn’t arrive until 8pm & Cordula offered to order & collect food from one of the excellent local restaurants & keep it warm in the oven, so after a long & tiring journey our holiday started straightaway. We would love to return.

Absolute heaven - we loved our stay here so much and were so sad to leave. Beautiful surroundings, private and peaceful - and great to be able to take a short walk into the village (also lovely!) Thanks so much for a great stay.

Georgia is a very gracious host. She welcomed us upon our arrival, showed us the supplies, and provided all the necessary information about the area. The house had everything we needed, and it was very comfortable and quiet. It was also clean and spacious enough for all 11 of us.

Our stay with Eleftheria and Michalis in Chania was nothing short of exceptional. The house is amazing—spacious, immaculate, and clearly designed with incredible care and attention to detail. The location is superb, and it’s easily one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The hosts went above and beyond—warm, welcoming, and always available. They helped us with everything from our early arrival to washing our car, making us feel completely at home. I truly hope to return one day with the rest of our family, and I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Crete without hesitation.

Fantastic villa, beautiful rooms & pool area and wonderful and attentive hosts! We had a great time start to finish, and the villa was in a fantastic spot, and couldn’t recommend more! We had a slight issue with the internet being slow so that would be the only thing to bear in mind when booking if you work remote/ need wifi often, the only place we could get connection was the cellar, so I think a couple wifi repeaters would go a long way!

Stayed in this small Airbnb for one night only, as a transition between a previous week-long rental and a flight back home. Loved the neighborhood, much quieter than the bustling and busy streets of old town Chania and yet very close. The room was simple, but very clean, nice bedding, excellent WC, bath and shower. Windows opened right onto a view of the Mediterranean, with a small restaurant balcony perched just by the water. Worth every penny, would stay again.

George was an excellent host, one of the best I’ve ever dealt with on AirBnB! The apartment was in an excellent location, just a stones throw away from the Chania Old Town.

The accommodation was very comfortable and Spyridon was very present and active, ready to respond to any need. We had a slight setback with the bathroom sink drain, despite only staying one night, he was immediately understanding and ready to have a plumber intervene to solve the problem. A very helpful host, and this fact alone makes the stay worthwhile.

We stayed for 9 days in a beautiful apartment, very clean and well equipped. The apartment is about 10/15 minutes from the center of Chania, in front of a supermarket and in our opinion, is at the right distance from all the most beautiful beaches (1.45h max). The order, cleanliness and equipment of the apartment allowed us to enjoy our stay to the fullest! I would like to give a special thank you to the very nice Chrysoula. She was very kind, sociable and available to answer all our questions. She was the first local we met and it really warmed our hearts to meet her…thank you! We will definitely stay again. 10/10 experience. Breathtaking views and sunset from the balcony, perfect location right on the harbor - surrounded by all of the best restaurants and places. The apartment is beautiful - clean, modern, great appliances. (The washing machine even uses AI). The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and despite being in the middle of the action, it is so peaceful. I didn’t want to leave. I will be back here again. The hosts were incredible. Kind, helpful, proactive, and made such a nice experience for us. Thank you!!!!!

Lovely time at the villa over Easter week. Our group of nine thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. She was so responsive and helpful. She even helped us order dinner to be delivered one night at the last minute! Highly recommend this villa!

Nice apparment on a quiet road. We stay 7 nights there. Very convenient location if you have a car. We got a lot of recommendations for places to visit.
