Guest house holiday rentals in Somerset

For the 4 of us (x2 adults; x2 children), it was ideal! Tucked out of the way and a walkable distance to an idyllic English village, it really was a sanctuary filled with all kinds of memorabilia/bits and pieces from a bygone era. The kids loved their wee bedroom hideaway, and the Anderson shelter is an exceptional touch. We were visiting family in the area and it suited us for that purpose down to the ground. We even managed to get a few tunes on the go in the format of vinyl, with Edith Piaf, Ella Fitzgerald, and Glenn Miller filling the night air as the sun receded! We would 100% stay again!

We booked The Stables for a couple of nights, including for it to be used as the bridal getting ready space on the morning of our recent wedding, as it is only 10 mins from Priston Mill. It was absolutely perfect and Nancy went above and beyond to help make it work for us including making space on the drive of the main house to allow wedding suppliers to park. The space was light and bright and surrounded by a gorgeous garden and it felt really private and peaceful. It was very well equipped with everything you’d need and actually seemed a larger space in person than in the pictures! Special thanks go to Nancy for making it extra special for our wedding and including some lovely bubbly in the fridge which was a really thoughtful touch.

Second time staying here, but we use the place as a base for visiting family so we can't easily comment on the tourist side of the location but from our point of view the location is situated in a beautiful part of somerset. Your not far from many locations and the area is very popular with cyclists, paddle boarders and dog walkers. Julie's place itself is spot less and the kids love it, I would like to apologise to Julie if the kids got too noisy enjoying the flat. They find it very comfortable and with young kids any changes in environment is always a challenge as it could affect their sleep. No problems here, plenty of space and comfort. Happy kids = happy parents. Happily recommend this place again and we will stay again if available/when we need it. Thank you

What can I say, lovely property, lovely host! Amenities were more than adequate for a longer stay, and the host (Jeremy) and his family, have left us feeling well looked after and most of all made us feel very welcome! Thankyou for a lovely stay Jeremy!

We had the most delightful time exploring Bruton with Jocelyn’s lovely Apple Store as our base! It was the perfect size for the two of us - very cosy inside and with the most gorgeous front garden. Jocelyn was a warm and friendly host. We highly recommend a stay here! 🍎🍏🍎

Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone! Everything about our trip went smoothly, from initial contact through to checking in and out. It was easy to find and with parking right outside the front door, very accessible. The premises is clean, tidy, nicely decorated and comfortable. It is also in a perfect location for visiting other tourist attractions such as Glastonbury and Wookey Hole. The extra touches such as milk, bread and butter, cereal and fruit were very welcome, especially as we’d forgotten to take breakfast! We only stayed for a couple of days, but would have loved to have stayed longer. Lovely place and lovely host.

Had a lovely stay, in Frome. The room is private and on a quiet street but you can get to the town very easily and it's only a short drive to bath. The room has everything you need for a short stay and is very cozy

Lovely and clean above garage loft room. Games room below, containing pool table a small fridge and microwave which was placed on the floor. Could have done with a toaster, a bread knife, cutting board, and some plastic glasses for the hot tub, there wasn't anywhere to wash up, so wouldn't be good for a weekend or long stay, which is a shame. Hot tub is secluded and sectioned from the rest of the garden, a really clever way to do it. The host was responsive and allowed us to book in early, which was lovely as we only stayed one night. Just down the road from us, so could become a regular runaway, if there was a little more thought around a "kitchenette"

Fantastic, albeit short, overnight stay at Bluebell cottage. It was comfortable, clean and the little touches helped us enjoy a lovely morning coffee whilst strolling the beautiful garden. Just a few minutes away from a wonderful bakery too (Lievito)

Absolutely amazing stay!! Super clean and gorgeous interior, as well as an extremely peaceful location with a lovely view! Some beautiful wildlife too we saw hares, a small deer and pheasants🥹! It was the perfect accommodation for our trip for me, my sister and mum and only 25-30 mins to Bath centre ! Joe was so friendly and responsive we absolutely will recommend to others and will definitely visit again!💖✨

We stayed as three friends on a short getaway and it was perfect. The bedroom was so large we had a double bed each. The whole property was very clean and modern. We spent the day in Taunton which was a lovely town to wander round. The hot tub was private and a perfect temperature. A beautiful, peaceful location and the host was kind and accomodating. Highly recommend.

We booked this accommodation at very short notice and Nikki very kindly prepared the place for our arrival. This place is unique in its quirkiness, we loved Nicki's taste in artwork surrounding the walls and the 100 plus books on the shelf. there is a little space where you can sit and look at the beautiful valley and the distant countryside environment. If you are not too tired to stargaze apparently the dark skies are worth waiting up for, on our visit there was a lot of cloud unfortunately. We have visited this area many times and never tire of the places and things to do and see, the accommodation is within easy reach of so many places of interest. It is important to plan the journey into the property, there is a short journey through some very tight lanes, however even though we did not follow instructions properly we did not meet any serious traffic.

We loved staying at Little Townsend for New Year - Pamela and Zubair are the perfect hosts. The accommodation is clean, modern and cosy with everything you need. Location wise there’s lots to do in the local area - we visited Stourhead and Sherborne. Ate at a wonderful pub called The Old Inn about 5/10 mins drive away and also at the local pub The White Horse Inn which is walking distance. We could have easily stayed for longer and still not done everything we wanted to do! Will definitely revisit

We had the best stay, such a peaceful location, beautiful little home, added extras of complementary beverages and an amazing lemon drizzle cake. Would 100% come and stay again.

My elderly mother and i had a lovely stay here. The home is beautiful and very well-equipped and the air fryer and coffee machine were super additions. It also had excellent adaptations meaning my less able mother could stay here too and access everywhere. The beds were super comfy with luxury bedding and the little extra touches make this property really stand out from other places i’ve stayed.

Andrew and Janine were lovely hosts. They left a very generous tray of welcome goodies from local sources which I was very grateful for and Andrew gave me some great recommendations for activities while we were there. It was a beautiful and peaceful stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Thank you

We had a fantastic weekend break with family. The home is beautiful and very clean.

Jacqui's place was like a home from home, and had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend away (including our two dogs, who were very well catered for! - as were we with, biscuits and treats for all of us, plus milk). The place was spotless, water hot and bed comfortable. Jacqui was really great with communication, and the key box made our late arrival very flexible. Parking right outside was a real bonus for packing and unpacking, and the garden was just lovely and really useful with the dogs. We would absolutely recommend this lucky find, and we would love to come back again!

Damien’s place was the perfect place for a group of 7 of us to celebrate a hen do. We wanted somewhere a bit luxurious, peaceful and secluded so we wouldn’t disturb anyone. Damien’s place covered all bases! Check in was seamless, love the fact the key is secured inside the lockbox so you never have to take it out with you and risk losing it! Loads of nice touches around the house, lots of high tech that added to the luxury, but was easy to use. Clear instructions for everything on the iPad in the kitchen. Place was spotlessly clean. We hired a private chef to come in and cook for our group, he commented on how well the kitchen was stocked and what a beautiful space it was to cook in! Highly recommend this accommodation and would stay again!

An ideal location for local Christmas family visiting , so we didn’t have need for local pubs/restaurants, however useful info from previous guests was available. It’s a lovely little ‘cottage’ with all you need , loads of hot water , and a nice cool bottle of wine on arrival !

Gorgeous stay with a great view of Glastonbury Tor which is in comfortable walking distance. Walking distance into Glastonbury and a comfortable and peaceful stay.

What can I say about Deborah’s place? It was absolutely perfect! So much space, spotless, quiet & just a 5 min walk to the town centre - we truly loved it & can’t wait to return soon! Thank you so much Deborah 🥰

Lovely comfortable bungalow with stunning views. Hosts very helpful and the welcome goodies a nice touch. Enjoyed our relaxing stay and the hot tub. Our dog was happy and secure in the garden. We would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended. Thank you for a wonderful break.
