South Congress Apartment

Our apartment is perfect for the budget traveler. It's very clean and with about 500 square feet it is spacious enough for 2 guests, although there is a fold out couch if you need it. Be sure to use the pillow top and comforter located on top of the bookshelf next to the couch. My wife and I lived here before buying the main house on the property. It was a great place to live and gave us many happy years. I'm sure you will love it too! Located near Congress and Riverside, just a few blocks away from longtime Austin establishments such as Guero's Taco Bar, The Continental Club, Allen's Boots, and many other amazing restaurants, shops and music venues. The South Congress bridge, where the bats emerge at sunset every evening from March to October, is just a few more blocks away and leads directly into the downtown area only a mile from our apartment, all within walking distance. You can pick up the hike and bike trail at the bridge as well, and it runs for many miles around Lady Bird Lake. Public bike rentals are within a five minute walk on Congress Avenue. There is plenty of parking on the street in front of our house.

Smithville is a quaint, thriving city with a very relaxing feel. It has numerous outdoor activities within 30 minutes if you enjoy hiking, canoe/kayaking, biking, fishing, etc. The cottage is within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops. The town offers many great boutiques and antique stores. The cottage is a block from famous homes featured in the movies, Hope Floats and The Tree of Life. You can see the Hope Floats house from the porch! Come unwind and enjoy the small-town life!

A peaceful place to come and relax. 1948 remodeled home, modern, newly built upstairs guest studio located in the heart of Austin, Texas. This particular bungalow was built in 2015, has hardwood floors, central heat and air, air jet bath tub and tempurpedic mattress. One of the most beautiful details of the treehouse is our reclaimed wood. My husband was born and raised in Austin and has taken part in recyclying wood from old Austin homes and milling trees that have fallen only to repurpose the wood for our treehouse.

It is very similar setup to that of a hotel suite. Enjoy two private decks and quiet country living. We are only five minutes from The Hyatt Lost Pines resort.
