Holiday rentals with a washing machine and dryer in Skorradalshreppur

This was a perfect jump off point for exploring the area! Short drive in every direction for hikes and attractions. Sleepy little town with amazing views right out front. Loa was wonderful with recommendations and information. The home was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

This is a country inn connected with the restaurant of the innkeeper. The rooms are spacious, bright, clean and tidy, with kitchen facilities and bathroom items fully equipped. The inn has a large hot tub, and there is also a sauna room next to it, both of which can be used free of charge. After taking a sauna, soak in the open-air hot tub while looking at the blue sky, which is extremely pleasant. The restaurant of the inn provides delicious fish and fish soup, as well as small portions of children's meals. The inn is near the vast farm, to the west are the beach and the sea, and to the east is the beautiful fjord. Sitting on the picnic chair beside the farm and looking at the distant mountains, the river at the foot and the boundless pasture, I feel that this is the meaning of life.

Una has a great apartment where the family otherwise lives. The whole apartment is modern. The beds / mattresses are very good and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Not to forget the laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Una and her husband are quickly available in case of problems. Important to know that it can take a long time for hot water to come in the morning, but it comes :-) In the vicinity is a bakery (Kallabakkri), within walking distance. Good food can be enjoyed at noon or in the evening at "Galito". Una has prepared a small folder with information about Akranes. In sunshine, please drive to beach. All around a great apartment.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Erla’s place! The home was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Erla was a kind and thoughtful host, and her communication was always clear and friendly. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the attention to detail. It felt like a true home away from home.

One night stay, Svava made herself available and the welcome was warm. The listing is as described. No problem with privacy despite sharing the bathroom and kitchen. We recommend this place for a short and/or intermediate stopover without a problem :-).

An absolutely stunning lake side villa close to the famous Golden Circle. We used it as our base for a week to explore Iceland with friends. We were two families, with three children in total. The villa is simply stunning, so beautiful and the perfect home away from home. We all loved returning back in the evenings and enjoying the sauna and hot tub. Then the grown ups sat up late to take in the never ending sun outside, snuggled with blankets and fire pit for company. We lost track how many photos we all took of the lake. We also enjoyed our coffee in the morning over looking the lake and running the loop around the lake. Communication was excellent and Telma couldn't have been more responsive or helpful. We 100% recommend and will be back!

The house was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Having a washer and dryer was a huge plus. Check-in was easy, and the location was simple to find. The views were stunning, and enjoying coffee on the deck each morning was a highlight. The drive to Reykjavik and nearby attractions was very manageable (about 30 minutes for most places we visited). One helpful tip: consider where you'll spend most of your time. We explored the southern coast mostly and didn’t fully realize how tiring longer drives would feel after full days out. This is by no means a downside to the house or its location—both were wonderful! It’s simply a helpful tip for others planning their itinerary: take travel times into consideration based on your daily plans. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and truly appreciated the comfort and beauty of this home and our host was great!
