Heiðrún Sara’s cottage was our absolute favourite stay of all four places we rented in Iceland. It is cozy, private, charming, quiet, and a perfect home base when you’re enjoying day trips along the Golden Circle. It’s ideal for two people, as it is quite tiny with not a lot of space for luggage, although we made out just fine. We especially loved getting in the hot tub at the end of our hiking days. Heiðrún Sara was easy to communicate with and check in/check out was a breeze. Would totally stay in this little nook again!

Our family had a fab week at Inga’s cabin. It was the perfect base to explore the country from. We particularly enjoyed evenings in the hot tub gazing at the northern lights. The cabin had everything we needed and Inga was a helpful and responsive host. We would recommend her place 💯

Clean, quiet, peaceful. Hot tub was amazing! Close to so many golden circle attractions. You will not be disappointed if you book this place.

Valla was a wonderful host. Her cabin is within nature and very cosy. Valla communicated extremely well to ensure we were comfortable and arrived safely and stress free. She gave us flexibility on arrival and departure. Would definitely recommend.

Very beautiful location.

There were four of us ( 2 adults and 2 children) in April in this beautiful, cozy cabin. The first time we opened the door, we felt right at home. It was very quiet and you have a lot of distance to the next cabin. Our daughters especially found the forest in front of the cabin very nice to play and hide. We were able to use some excursion tips and restaurant recommendations from Bilgir and were always totally delighted. From the cabin we made a different trip every day... but you definitely need a car. Unfortunately, the time passed far too quickly and we haven't been so sad for a long time that a vacation is coming to an end. Thank you Iceland and thank you to Bilgir for having us in this special place.

Cabin was cute, cozy, and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Close to Golden Circle attractions and great restaurants in downtown Selfoss yet very peaceful and private. Wish we had more time to enjoy the outdoor space. Host was very responsive and friendly.

We booked the hut for the private geothermal hot tub and although it takes 1-2 hours to fill it was absolutely amazing! We especially enjoyed the peace and quiet, there is nothing else than a nice view and smell of pine with the sound of some birds around.

The cottage is decorated like in a fairy tale, very nicely decorated and super cozy. You can tell that Agnes takes care of the house with love. Everything is super clean and food as well as skin care are provided. You can really treat yourself at Agnes'. The cottage is located on a hill near Geysir and Gullfoss - a great location for a vacation in Iceland. The disadvantage is the great distance to the nearest supermarket. But Agnes is very precautionary: The fridge was already filled when we arrived and none of us had to starve. The kitchen was also fully equipped with spices, oil, food in stock and kitchen appliances. Communication with Agnes was great too. She always responded quickly and helped us quickly when we had problems.

We stayed for one week and loved it every day. The cabin has everything you need and the Jaccuzzi is a real bonus. Stock up your groceries in Reykjavik or Keflavik when you come via airplane. There are some really good restaurants within 20-30 min drive (we recommend Farmers Bistro in Fludir if you love mushrooms). Communication was really easy.

Great stay! So much to see just around this place. the host was really responsive with all our questions about local stuff, and very flexible to accommodate our group with lots of kids. Stairs are quite steep, so upstairs is not recommended under 3yo. The outdoor hot tub was great, and temperature can be adjusted to exactly what you need. There is room for swimsuits and towels to dry. A few toddler toys, Villkatten for kids a little older. We highly recommend!

The home is spacious, thoughtfully equipped, and ideal for shared cooking and cozy moments. Perfect for couples or groups of up to 6. We love staying out of the way of crowds and traffic, so this was the perfect spot for us! Not too far from all the places we wanted to visit, and still close enough to Reykjavik for some city shopping! Thank you!!

We LOVED staying here! We booked 6 nights and it was a wonderful place to settle in and enjoy the sites on the Golden Circle. Katrín was wonderful, responding to most messages within a few minutes. She gave us great tips for restaurants and other things to do. Our favorite aspect of the house was it's bright and open living area with plentiful windows to enjoy the view. The kitchen was really well stocked. there were plenty of linens and towels. The Internet worked great. The living room and dining room lighting at night were a little dim compared to what we are used to, but this did make it easier for us to keep an eye out for northern lights. We had the privilege of seeing them for 3 of the 6 nights! There was no washer and dryer (clearly stated in the description), but the heated drying rack in the bathroom was really useful. The hot tub was wonderful. If you come in winter, you really do want 4WD. The roads leading up to the house were snow covered and slippery. Highly recommend!

Thank you for the instructions and layout. We spent 3 beautiful days in this area, were able to explore from the cabin, enjoyed the peaceful environment in the evening. Suitable for children! (Watch out for the stairs for the little ones). Wonderful stay!
