It was nice and everything is always nicer when the sun is shining but in all cases: - very nice, cozy cottage - terrace directly overlooking the pond (exciting conversations with local ducks) - very easy check-in and responsive host - superb sunset to end the day while eating on the terrace.

We had a nice stay. Very pleasantly welcomed….Everything nice and clean and tidy. Lots of private and a nice garden at your disposal. Close to downtown , restaurants and shops The 2nd bedroom, outside to reach, was a bit small compared to the master bedroom.

A great and clean house in a quiet neighborhood. With 8 people, we got along with the rooms and bathroom spaces. Pool was in our satisfaction!

We had a wonderful time at Wenja's beautiful beach house. It was so lovingly and chicly furnished, the kitchen fully equipped. The description of the apartment is absolutely true. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool and the sauna afterwards was a treat. In a few minutes, you will be on the beautiful beach with nice beach bar. (It may be worth mentioning that one section is a dog beach. So many friendly dogs are a huge pleasure for our children. ) From the apartment it is only a few minutes by car to the shopping center in the village and many attractions (e.g. Keukenhof, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Zandvoort, etc.) can be reached in 20-40 minutes. We chose the place because it's close to the sea and the city. Both places are easily accessible even for us who were only equipped with e-bikes. The supermarket and restaurants can also be reached on foot. The place is very nice. Large house and nice outdoor space to relax. The kitchen is super stocked with everything you need. Cats are a nice add-on: they're companionship and don't bother at all.

We spent three nights in this very nice and quiet place. The accommodation is very nice and inviting. If you are lucky with the weather, you can see the sunset from the sofa and enjoy the atmosphere of the region with a drink. Better than any TV program :-). Very good starting point to explore Noord-Holland and also in the center of Amsterdam you are unexpectedly fast by bus (18 min from Dörfchen Ilpendam by express bus). Very nice and reserved hosts. We can recommend it without reservation.

We had a wonderful weekend with our family in this beautiful and very cozy farm. The owners have clearly put a lot of work and love into the renovation. They were also very friendly and helpful in the contact and, together with the roaming chickens, provided a very welcome feeling. Highly recommended!

This bungalow is in a beautiful environment. It is tastefully decorated and the appliances, cutlery and utensils are at their best! Communication with Jurgen was very fluid as well. Great place to stay to visit Keukenhof and Amsterdam as well as the northern beaches. Kids loved the garden!

We stayed at Marjan's place for a week as a family (2 adults, toddler and baby). Communication was easy at all times. We were greeted upon arrival with Stroopwafels in a sparkling clean house. The house is as described and contained everything we needed for a great stay. You just have to mention that the evening sun is on the bedroom windows, which can't be darkened great, which was sometimes a bit of a hindrance to the children's sleep accompaniment. All in all a great holiday!

We had a lovely stay at Michael’s place. We booked it for a girls trip with a group of 7. It was the perfect size, lovely surroundings and really central! Would definitely recommend!

We stayed with 4 adults and 2 babies in the house under the chestnut and felt super comfortable. The house is furnished with a lot of love, very cozy and well maintained. We felt right at home. The small front garden is beautiful and also behind the house you can sit nicely. With crawling children, the stairs would be very steep and not secured. It was ok with us. A baby bed was available. The communication with Astrid was completely straightforward. We were very warmly personally welcomed and would have been able to enter the accommodation earlier. Nearest beach is a quarter of an hour by car. Alkmaar is easily accessible by bus. Overall, we had a great stay and can absolutely recommend the place!

We immediately felt very comfortable in Martine's cottage. From the many windows and glass doors, even in the bedroom, you have great views of nature and on the beautiful terrace there are different seating options, even overlooking a small horse paddock. The cottage is nicely decorated and the kitchen is well equipped. By bike we only had to cross the street and were directly in beautiful, bike-friendly surroundings. Martine immediately helped us with each of our concerns - we can't imagine a better host! Thanks again for everything! Also for the beautiful welcome! It's been a great time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house and the property were very clean and beautifully furnished. Communication with Marc was great and he was able to help us immediately with any questions.

The apartment was easy to find, and very clean. The host was very friendly and offered us flexible check-in and check-out.

We had a wonderful stay and we didn't miss anything. It was a relaxing holiday with a lot of privacy, our children were very happy about the play opportunities on the farm and the many animals. The house is cozy, very clean and well equipped and Thildy and Dick are super nice hosts. We would definitely love to come back.

The house is very spacious, clean and has a great outdoor space. The bathroom is a stand out with a large shower and double sink. You can walk to the shops, restaurants and sightseeing in the city centre. Would certainly return to this gem in Alkmaar.

There is nothing to add to the comments, the house has its peculiar charme. What is'nt mentioned clealy in the description: you have to bring your own towels. Two bicycles can be rented. The parking place behind the house is public but mostly available. For coffee lovers: machine is available with capsule system 'Dolce Gusto'. We were able to spend wonderful days in the accommodation of Liesbeth and Jaap and immediately felt at home! Check-in went smoothly and were welcomed with open arms. This place is really only recommended with all our heart and we would come back any time! 🥹
