Family-friendly holiday rentals in Shoal Bay

Had a most lovely time in the cabin. There are a few cabins in the location, all with enough space and spacing to let you feel like you are away from it all. The hot tub was lovely, being able to be accessed directly out the front of the cabin. There was plenty of glassware and other things so that if you wanted to you could use it. We brought our own, but you wouldn't need to. It's a great location, close to the beach and a short 10 to 15 minute drive to other nearby locations with lots of restaurant and food options.

A great place in the middle of Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. Super easy to get around from here and a nice stay.

We had a fantastic stay in this apartment! The views of Fingal Bay were absolutely spectacular, and the short walk to the beach made it even better. We loved having the little grocery store and cafés just downstairs—so convenient. The underground parking and elevator access straight to the second-floor apartment were a huge plus. The large covered balcony was perfect for relaxing, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed. We also appreciated how peaceful the area was while still being close to amenities. The only minor issue was sometimes the buses will idle at the bus stop near the apartment and if you have your doors open it can be a bit loud. But it’s only a couple of times per day we noticed it. Definitely recommend the apartment.

For a large group of adults like we had this place is the best! Make the most out of the outdoor bbq and ping pong table!

Very well laid out house with giant open plan kitchen, great for family gatherings. Comfy beds and lots of space to lounge around. Next level spa, more like a swimming pool, amazing.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. The place was clean and tidy - we really liked the updated kitchen and bathroom. The fireplace was a bonus for the chilly nights! We had our dog with us and he really loved the garden to play around in. LJ Hooker was very responsive even on the weekend. It was also conveniently located with a 5 min walk to dog friendly Birubi beac, supermarket and restaurants. Overall we would definitely recommend this place to others.

My mum, 3 yo daughter and I really enjoyed our girls trip and stay at Annabel’s cottage. The cottage itself was clean, cosy, homely, well equipped and had lots of charm and character. It had everything we needed - from the heaters in each room to keep us warm at night, sachets of porridge for breakfast, we brought our own coffee and cafetière but it was not necessary as they were catered for. We had restful night sleeps in the comfy beds and there was even a rattan basket full of books which kept my little girl entertained. Location was perfect for us and it was 10 mins drive to all the places that we visited. Check in and out was a breeze and I would definitely recommend Annabel’s cottage.

The place was exactly as advertised, excellent value in a peaceful residential area with just short walk to the beach. Property is well maintained and you will find everything plus tennis court and pool. Our family had a lovely break and would definitely come back. Petra was very communicative and friendly. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had the opportunity to at Paul's place. Good space for family of 5. Everything you need was there. Access to 2 car parks underground was good. Look forward to staying there again.

Simon’s place is simply amazing. Not only is a great house, in an amazing spot but It was equipped with everything anyone could ever possibly need. Simon was always available and responsive to any queries, and went the extra mile to find out more about our plans and interests so he could recommend activities or offer additions l help. I have stayed in plenty of Airbnb’s and I must say I think this tops them all, and no doubt I will be back.

Tania was lovely - really friendly. She was very responsive and provided tips on things to do during the stay. She has the makes herself available if there are any issues (we had a tiny issue with the key, which was resolved immediately), but otherwise ensures that she doesn't intrude on your stay. She is very mindful of this.

We had a great stay! Check-in was easy, communication with Steph was great, and the location was super convenient. The place had everything we needed, plenty of space, and great amenities. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The kids and I had the loveliest stay at Amanda’s house. It was so cosy & the host is amazing as well. Wished we booked longer!

Lovely place. Rene was very helpful especially with late check out which we requested at short notice. No cot was provided for our 4 month old infant even though she was listed on our booking as a guest. Rene did try to source one for us but wasnt able to, so we had to go and buy one from Kmart. We also had to clean the bbq before using it but that was not a big deal. We had a very enjoyable stay overall and would definitely recommend/book again.
