Beachfront holiday rentals in Shaka's Rock

This is an excellent house in an excellent location of the northern KZN coast. Beach is a small stroll away and the house is designed in a very functional way, with a big common area but very private bedrooms. One of my best finds on AirBnB.

Bronwyn was a brilliant host. I would highly recommend.

The house has amazing ocean views and the sound of the waves was a beautiful background to our stay. A few steps from the beach, we had a wonderful time.

What can I say except WOW! Started off the day watching the sun rise over the ocean while enjoys a wonderful cup of tea on the two chairs dedicated to Nono and Maxime. We could then walk down to Thompson Bay beach directly from the garden. When a day in the waves was over, a short walk up the steps to the outdoor shower by the pool for a quick dip then a quick braai on the amazing stainless steel braai by the pool. To end it all, going to sleep with the doors open listening to the waves crashing all night! And in the morning, Elizabeth was there to sort out our messy dishes and Russel washed off all the kids beach toys…. I can’t recommend the place enough and hope to be back next year. Thank you Denise and team, truly amazing trip xx

Douglas our host is fabulous, always a message away alongside Thulani our caretaker who lives on site while maintaining privacy for us guests. The facilities are more than perfect for us three adults and we slept like babies. Book the house and you will be blown away. Thank you for having us, we will come back again.

Thank you Chad for a great stay ! The location of your home is perfect and the views from the house overlooking the sea and lagoon are spectacular. It was very peaceful sitting on the deck watching the sunsets. The kitchen was well equipped but lacking a dishwasher. Overall a great experience !

We had an amazing stay at this gem on the Dolphin Coast! The apartment is beautiful and perfectly located—just steps from the beach and tidal pool. The sea views are breathtaking, and we loved spending time on the verandah overlooking Chakas Rock. It’s ideal for a couple or small family, with everything you need for a relaxing, self-catering holiday. The complex is safe and quiet, with restaurants just around the corner. Highly recommended for a coastal getaway!

A beautiful well decorated apartment within walking distance to main swimming beach in Ballito. Also close walking distance to shops so once you park you car you won’t need to drive it all weekend. The pool is amazing in the complex and all the photos don’t even do the apartment justice! A real little gem in Ballito

Our stay (Family of 5 adults) was everything we hoped it would be. The place is gorgeous, kitted out with everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including some extra goodies on arrival. The home itself is stunning, we now are saving to redo our bathroom inspired bu the bathrooms here! This is an airbnb that we will definitely be returning to! the location is quiet and peaceful, with lots of Monkeys nearby but not close enough to bother us! They nearby beaches were private and quiet, they felt like they were our own! We have nothing but appreciation and gratitude for the host for allowing us to really have a home away from home experience, and can't wait to come back again!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at La Mer No4. The unit is clean,spacious and so stunning with all the modern finishes and homely touches. Thandi was so warm and welcoming and kept the place so neat and tidy. I highly recommend for families and couples who are looking to enjoy the beauty of Ballito and surroundings in a home away from home. Lucentha's place truly exceeded our expectations. The home was beautiful, warm, and welcoming, instantly felt like home. The lady who welcomed us was very friendly. The small touches around the place really stood out. Everything was well thought out and beautifully presented. I honestly can’t fault it,it’s worth every cent, and in fact, I feel like we got even more than what we paid for. Highly recommended!

Overall, a wonderful stay!! A gorgeous oasis in Ballito, near the beach. Ample space for a family, I wish we had more time. Leanne ensured that clear instructions were provided on how to enter the property and checked on our arrival. On arrival, she had packed a lovely gift pack of rusks, chocolate and cappuccino near the kitchen. The accommodation is very neat and clean and is fully kitted with everything you would need. We were there for 2 days. The beach is on your doorstep and is not crowded. Leanne allowed for a late check-out, which we greatly appreciated as our flight was in the evening. We consider this our place away from home when in Durban.

Great weather, nice and sunny in the Dolphin coast. Quick and easy access to the beach. Lovely unit, it was clean and the essentials were provided. Quite a few steps going up and down if you don’t want to take the long way around and up the unit. The host was very responsive when in need. We had a good time. No complaints.

It is a great spacious apartment with a lovely view located in a very secure complex. The unit is well equipped with all you need. You have direct beach access from the complex through a secure gate with a security official. Overall a comfortable stay.

Loved the apartment, really comfortable and the location was wonderful, so close to the boardwalk and ocean and near the little town of Ballitoville. Really great place!
